Yeh Come on cam. give us something to hang on to!!
-
If there was anything happening I think something would have leaked out by now. this board is going to go nuts tomorrow! Surely to god we can find someone who fits the bill? It really does not make sense to put all our eggs into one basket only to see them scrambled at the last moment.

Tamas Kadar rumoured to have signed on loan...

From what I have found so far this would be good business. 6.2 centre back who has played at under 21 level and was in the full Hungary squad in May. -
Watford Valued At £20 Million....
sturgeon220 replied to Jonzey's topic in Main Discussion - Norwich City
It would appear that Watford is valued at around £30 mil The potential buyers have nearly 1/3rd of the shares and need to find £20 mil to purchase the rest 20 = 10 = £30 mil Aprox -
Who started all this.....?
Probably not long, you just incited it, which on its own is pretty sad.
Don''t be silly I have no intention of inciting anything.I am just stating an unforunate fact. Any way, bacck to the original post, I agree there is no one who has covered themslves in glory over the last few weeks but for be the press have left a nasty taste with their blatant (in my veiw) backing for Cullum! -
see its easy really (If you want it to be!!)
sturgeon220 replied to sturgeon220's topic in Main Discussion - Norwich City
So you are saying that:Delia and MWJ should expect something back from the money they''ve put into the club and shouldn''t feel they''ve handed it over without getting anything. That would be wrong. But Peter Cullum can hand over £20 million for players without getting anything in return. That would not be wrong.Great argument.
No, But you and many others have been saying that Cullum should have been given the club in return for the £20 mil . THAT would have meant the Smiths would have got no return. That would have been wrong. Cullum said he wanted to help the playing side (all he had to do was sign the cheque0. BUT for that he wanted control (shares) without paying the present owners. Now I am sure you can see that was and is a problem? -
Who started all this.....?
sturgeon220 replied to Grumpy Old Blogger's topic in Main Discussion - Norwich City
Now then, this has started out as a nice sensible thread, how long before the "Burn her at the stake brigade join in with silly one liners an sound bites!!? -
"If anyone wishes to put money into the transfer budget they can," said Doncaster. "They just need to write a cheque - and we can give that straight to the manager."The issue comes when it''s a case of a change of control," he added. At which point all manner of hurdles have - by law - to be jumped. And that''s before you get down and dirty with the banks for whom any change of ownership is a perfect time to get their millions out of football. What bit of the above is so hard to understand? Cullum could (at any time) have offered to put money in to the playing side with no strings. Instead he has bug*ered off back to Kent because the second paragraph WAS a problem he was not willing to solve. This is fine for him but HE has left one almighty mess here which he and no one else has created. To blame the Smiths is easy as some on this message board have a unhealthy hatred for them bordering on paranoia. They had a man with a reported wealth of £1.7 billion tying to force them to give him their £9 million pound investment and step aside. Why the hell should they?

So it looks like cullum wont be buying...
sturgeon220 replied to Canary's topic in Main Discussion - Norwich City
All he had to do was buy the damm club!! What is so difficult about that? If people really like the way he behaved and think he is the right man to be custodian of this club of ours then GOD HELP US! -
NORWICH TAKEOVER ALL OFF!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
sturgeon220 replied to colneycanary's topic in Main Discussion - Norwich City
All negotiations have been terminated with immediate effect because the Directors and Mr Cullum have been unable to agree mutually acceptable basis upon which they can meet the stated objectives of Mr Cullum whilst still ensuring compliance with the current legal and contractual obligations of the club to its stakeholders.
IF THE WORDING OF THIS (JOINT) STATEMENT IS CORRECT why is it the board are being held responsible? Both parties have to keep it legal and within certain parameters. I am amazed that people on this forum think Cullum is whiter than white and its all Delia''s fault, It has been apparent from the start that Cullum wanted to to take over the club by the back door and on the cheap. I would not be willing to lose millions of my own money and anyone on here who says they would is not being truthfull. If he will not negotioate a higher price and the board will not negotiate a lower one then they are both at fault!!! Having said that I am Gutted!! -

Perhaps Cullum has decided to have Wiz as the fan''s representative on the new board? L.O.L.[:D] -
EDP tomorrow (Friday)
sturgeon220 replied to Web Team - Celia Sutton's topic in Main Discussion - Norwich City
I would have thought it will be speculation NOT facts whatever the content. If it was an anouncement on investment even this board of directors would manage to anounce it themselves TO the press . It could be another bout of PC negotiating through the press I supose , but that would not help matters. -
Yes, if Turner is the go between you have to wonder if the last few day''s have been taken up with him trying to get the Smith''s to see sense!!
-
But reports that a meeting has been set up between the parties appeared some way off, as Mr Cullum said the thaw in relations was “at an early stage”.Sources close to Carrow Road backed that up by saying that while contact was “ongoing” behind the scenes, the dreamed of summit had not been arranged. The EDP understands that millionaire businessman and Norwich City director Andrew Turner is acting as the go-between in discussions between Mr Cullum and the City board. Interesting but not very exciting yet. I knew the Turners would come in handy!!
Its not. Our board valued the club at 16m. The 56m figure includes that 16m, 4m directors loans that need to be repaid, 16m bank loan that needs to be repaid (or more likely renegotiated) and the 20m Cullum wants to invest in the team.
Stop it !! you are being sensible, You have to admit though If you look at the first post it is calculated to stir up bad feeling on here again. It was so blatantly not a true statment as we all (on here) understand the Valuation is as you have just stated (£16 mil) not the £ MIL strident head line above.
