  1. The 56 million includes the 16 million bank debt. Peter Cullum could easily re-finance this debt so he would actually need 40 million for a complete takeover!
  2. I find this hard to believe that our board kept all this very quiet and after 7 months have not even bothered to contact Peter Cullum. Delia and this current board are clearly NOT here for the good of the club and i hope they are now forced to do a deal with Mr Cullum before the fans turn on her! I am starting to lose all the respect i had for this current board very quickly now!
  3. Very good post milan and i have thought the exact thing!
  4. Norwich may have cash for Newcastle''s Shola Ameobi newcastle, norwich, shola ameobi, transfers (What''s this?) Norwich boss Glenn Roeder will be given the green light to launch a club record £3.5million bid for Newcastle striker Shola Ameobi after a billionaire revealed his wish to pump £20million into Carrow Road. Life-long City fan Peter Cullum is ready to launch a buy-out of major shareholder Delia Smith, but insists he wants the celebrity chef to remain the Canaries'' figurehead. The 57-year-old insurance magnate - the 40th wealthiest man in Britain-said: "This is about passion and love for the club but I''m not prepared to put that sort of money into the club without having control." Cullum - who played for Norwich City boys - made initial contact with the club last year, and says his offer still stands. Advertisement He added: "I don''t want to be the front person for the club, that''s Delia. I don''t want fame and publicity. If there''s to be some sort of deal I''d like it to be on friendly terms." 5. Norwich to make record offer for Newcastle''s Ameobi tribalfooball.com - June 30, 2008 Norwich City are to make a £3.5million club record bid for Newcastle striker Shola Ameobi. Norwich boss Glenn Roeder hopes to get the go-ahead if billionaire tycoon Peter Cullum completes a £20m buy-out. Cullum, who wants main shareholder chef Delia Smith to stay, said: "This is about passion for the club but I''m not prepared to put money in without having control."
  6. If the club is insisting on on someone paying the whole 56 million we will NEVER get anywhere! GET LOST NOW DELIA!!!!!!!!!
  7. Peter Cullum was not looking for a complete takeover. I thought he just wanted to be the Majority shareholder?
  8. OFFICIAL CLUB STATEMENT Posted on: Mon 30 Jun 2008 In the light of headlines in this morning''s press we thought it would be helpful to supporters to share the process the club uses when evaluating any potential investment in Norwich City Football Club PLC. We look at the individual, we look at what they want to achieve and we look at the financial viability of their proposition. In the case of someone seeking to take control of the club and at the same time invest £20 million in the playing squad this would take a minimum of £56 million made up as follows: Investment in playing squad £20 million Purchase of shares based on current share issue price of £30 per share £16 million* Repayment of bank debt that would be triggered by a change of control £16 million Repayment of directors'' loans £4 million TOTAL £56 million In the last 12 months we have talked to a number of potential investors. We have also reviewed a number of different propositions. Unfortunately none of these investors have made a proposal which we have considered financially viable. Notwithstanding this the board remains open minded about future investment and will continue to seek new investors and evaluate their propositions using the process described above.
  9. Yes i was thinking this too. But i doubt its even close to Peter Cullum''s offer. Any new investment is great but why after being offered this fantastic offer in october of last year Delia, MWJ and the Turners have not got back to him. Its been 6 months. I thought they had the best interest of the club at heart?? This tells me they clearly havent and all this silence from them now is making me pretty angry!
  10. I just can''t for the life of me understand why they didn''t take up his offer yet! After seeing Delia''s interview from the norfolk show maybe there is investment coming in from somewhere else?
  11. I find this quite strange. In a very brief statement from Delia and Michael they declined to answer questions at this stage without knowing the full details of what was being printed in the edp. But they did say that during their 12 years they have been approached and they have approached others to seek investment but with the exception of the Turners none of those approachers has been successful to date. Thats all they would comment at this time.
  12. The whole 20 million would be for players to get us back in the premiership. Peter Cullum does not want to mislead people and to be seen as an english Roman Abramovich and he see''s this investment very unlikely to yield a good return other than emotional and something he''s always wanted to do.
  13. Why did they not take up the offer back in october? Can you imagine if we had got relegated and all this came out!
  14. He doesn''t want a place on the board but would appoint some of his own people "to create an exciting strategy for the club"
  15. Its going to be very interesting to see the clubs response to this. Delia and her hubby MUST except the offer or their will be a huge back lash!
  16. Yes he offererd the money back in october when we were 5 points adrift at the bottom of the league. The offer was 5 million then to buy 3 or 4 players and another 15 million in the summer(now). He would become the majority shareholder and take control of the club, but have Delia continue her role leading the club. Strange thing is the talks broke down and the club have yet NOT taken up Peter Cullum''s offer but the offer is still on the table!
  17. Again there is already a thread about this. Now we have 2 going on about the same thing. WHY CAN''T PEOPLE LOOK BEFORE STARTING A NEW THREAD!!!!! Thankyou had to get that out of my system!
  18. More stories linking him with a move to us. Strange one this, as he''s not really done that well at Colchester. Clive Platt is said to be on the verge of a move away from Colchester to Carrow Road. Following on from their brief flirtation with Championship, relegation back into League One has meant that the U''s are facing stern competition for their prize assets. The former Dons striker is said to have attracted interest from Sheffield United and Norwich. Its hard blame Clive the wish to stay in the second tier as he turns 31 this autumn and its likely this could be his last chance to play at that level. The battering ram from Wolverhampton wrote his name in MK Dons history on January 20th 2007 by becomming the first MK Dons player to score a hat trick as the Dons beat nine man Barnet in League Two at the National Hockey Stadium. He was a firm favourite with the Cowshed and no doubts they would relish the chance to sing his name again, even if he was wearing another teams shirt. If he secured a move to Norfolk we could see Clive on August 12th when we face Delia''s boys in the first round of the Carling Cup. He scored 18 goals in the 2006/7 season for the Dons which earned him a move to Layer Road as Col U were promoted to the Championship. He made 41 league appearances last season netting just 8 times.
  19. Bad news, Hull are after him now! The French forward scored some vital goals in Wigan Athletic’s Premier League survival bid last season, but the Latics have decided to make the 33-year-old available on a free transfer. "Antoine was looking for another year on top of the year he has left on his contract at Wigan, but it seems he will move on," agent Willie McKay told Sky Sports. "I have spoken to John Benson and they will let him leave on a free transfer. "He is a top quality professional and he was one of the fittest players at Wigan. Antoine still believes he has three or four years left in him and there is sure to be no shortage of offers for him."
  20. Yes but do u think Roeder tells his players who he is trying to get and who he would maybe like to sell? I have a strong feeling that Rusty and Croft won''t be here for the start of the season.
  21. Sky Sports have reported of our interest in Colchester''s striker Clive Platt. City and Sheffield United are thought to be tracking the former MK Dons and Peterborough hit-man as they look to bolster their attacking options for next season.(Source Sky Sports) While only scoring eight goals last season proving to be a handful for most defences in the Championship, he turned out to be the perfect foil for Kevin Lisbe. We asked a Colchester fan of his view of the player. Clive is a targetman first and Fourmost. his game is to hold up the play, bring others into play, he is good in the air, strong, not that fast, but as he proved he causes defences hell of a lot of problems. He gets more than his share of stick from the terraces and a large potion of that is unfair the main trouble being in many fans eyes he was seen a replacement for Iwelumo and anything under his achievement is seen as a failure. Had he had a decent winger putting crosses in the box his goal total would have been far highier.
  22. Since when have we really cared about the players name? I can''t recall anybody calling out Drury''s name or Shackell''s so i really don''t understand your point! I''ve heard he is very good, scores a few too and would be worth about 1.5 million if it wasn''t for his release clause. I am still expecting him to end up at QPR though.
  23. This Gow chap was going to be part of the Lafferty deal, but Gow could not agree terms with Burnley. There is no way he was a target before, and this seems a bit desperate by Roeder to me?
