Croydon Canary replied to Canary Pirate's topic in Main Discussion - Norwich City
Well done sir! -
No Huckerby = Relegation
Croydon Canary replied to Matt Morriss's topic in Main Discussion - Norwich City
I,ve said repeatedly,Huckerby,s absence this season has cost City at least six points.Roeder couldn,t cope with Di canio at Wet Spam and it was history repeating itself here! -
why i hate the plastic footy fan!

Clingan future - Rumour only
Croydon Canary replied to Canary02 III's topic in Main Discussion - Norwich City
People on this board keep going on about re-claiming the season ticket cash.Well if they do,then this clearly will increase the likelyhood of Clingan being sold.Season ticket holders must wave the rebate ! -
Is it me being silly or?
Croydon Canary replied to Thecanaryfan's topic in Main Discussion - Norwich City
No,you really are being silly ! -
1.A new manager must be appointed quickly, someone like Mark Robbins would be ideal. 2.The board must show it is listening to fans and impress on the new manager that use of the loan market will not be tolerated in any significant form. 3.A certain Mr Huckerby must be re-signed. 4.A general changed in culture within the playing side must be instilled. Why are we so consistently poor away from home? Why do we seem to lack leadership on the pitch? .City need to become bigger, stronger, quicker and more direct in style. 5.The changed in culture can only be brought about by having a football man in the boardroom.

The Last Mention of the H Word This season...I Promise!
Croydon Canary replied to Huddy 's topic in Main Discussion - Norwich City
There is no doubt in my mind that Huckerby,s presence in the squad this season would,ve been worth at least six points. -
Loan signings in the third division.
Croydon Canary posted a topic in Main Discussion - Norwich City
My nightmare senario would be to see the Pinkun and read as follows: Gunn snapped up Barnsley striker Joe Crapp on a three month loan. " the lad can,t get much playing time at Oakwell but he,s young and keen" said Gunn."He,s just recovered from a near career ending injury and I,m sure he can help us move up the table ". Gunn added "although he may not be the quickest and on paper his strike rate is low he obviously has Championship quality". -
Where has it all gone wrong?.
Croydon Canary replied to Green and Yellow's topic in Main Discussion - Norwich City
I tell you where it all went wrong. The year Norwich won promotion Worthington panicked in the close season. He decided several key characters were not good enough for the Prem.Malky and Iwan in paricular.Worthy probably felt under pressure to spend to strengthen, unfortunatley this broke up the "special feeling " in and around the club at the time.So despite large wages being paid out to players the side was probably no stronger but the winning mentality had been lost.Think of Hull this season. The January signing of Ahston nearly bailed us out.Of course the Fulham capitulation was significant.Worthy was kept on too long.Grant couldn,t handle the job.Roeder started aquiring loan players. Then the final nail in the coffin was not re-signing Huckerby. The team lacks presence and leadership in defence and midfield and no pace upfront. The writing was on the proverbial wall with that 5-1 loss to Spurs pre-season. We are just in a downward spiral, poor results, demotion, reduced income poorer players. It has to end somewhere and things have to stabilise, lets hope that isn,t in league two!. My wish for next season whatever division that maybe is.NO MORE F***ING LOANS ! -
City Boss wants to get the Job done
Croydon Canary replied to Ivan Easter's topic in Main Discussion - Norwich City
What job anyway? if he,s talking about getting us relegated he,s well on course. -
why do you have to pay off failed managers ?
Croydon Canary replied to pennywise 's topic in Main Discussion - Norwich City
Quite simple,it,s employment law.If someone has a fixed term contract the only way to get rid of them without paying them off is if they are in breach of their contract. So gross incompetence or serious misconduct would be typical reasons.Just because the team loses matches on a regular basis does not mean the manager is not doing his job within the terms of his contract. -
Palace predictions....
Croydon Canary replied to InLambertWeTrust!'s topic in Main Discussion - Norwich City
It will be cold, grey, the Arthur Waite stand will be as bigger shithole as ever.Oh and we,ll probably lose 2-0. -
At the moment I can,t see it happening.Since that thirteen match unbeaten run ended last March thats all that Roeder and city have managed.I,m not sure how its going to change.A new manager might not be the answer but an inspirational signing could be.Remember Martin O,neill in the 81-82 season.I live in hope more than expectation.

Favourite ever City player ??

Norwich City Line up V Nottingham Forest
Croydon Canary replied to John's topic in Main Discussion - Norwich City
It really doesn,t matter what lineup we play.100% nailed on certanty we,ll lose.Live on Sky and away from home= no chance.Of course I hope i,m wrong but I,ve been a Norwich fan too long to expect anything else. -
ROEDENT'S EXPERIENCE...
Croydon Canary replied to rocky marshall's topic in Main Discussion - Norwich City
Do you know,I just can,t be bothered anymore. If Roeder is going to do a "Worthy" and try and tough the situation out and wait for a tasty payoff we should hang him out to dry.Let him remain till the hostilty and abuse becomes unbearable for him.Let,s face it the club will probably go into admin if he was paid off and we got relegated. -
How about Kris Renton against Wolves?
Croydon Canary replied to silver fox's topic in Main Discussion - Norwich City
Absolutley agree,I,d rather Norwich were toothless crap with our own players than with a bunch of expensive loanees.I just instinctively know that if Roader is still in charge at the end of the season City will be relegated. So what the hell? -
Were we right to get rid of Worthy?
Croydon Canary replied to Huddy 's topic in Main Discussion - Norwich City
No absolutely not.Any manager that gets rid of a comanding six foot plus centreback because he was deemed too old and too slow for the prem, then replaces him with a slightly older five foot eight Simon Charlton needed to go.
