1.
He''s dead cheap for starters, and maybe our dim board believe that the fans won''t boo or turn on a City legend. I also believe that should we beat Barnsley this Saturday, they will appoint him full time. Believe me, they are that clueless, wanting Worthless has proved that! Gunny full time would make the charge of the Light Brigade seem like a good idea, City desperatley need an experienced manager inplace quickly, Gunn has zero management skills, let alone Championship management experience. Finally.............dear God, please make this all stop![:''(]
I agree lets get on our high horse, find the bold button for something that hasn''t yet happened.  I am also annoyed that we lost on Saturday.....oh wait we havent played yet. You miserable bugger!! [:P]
 2.
I hope those attending feel the same and there will be plenty of negative and noisy chants making our feelings known.
You have high expectations of a weekend game!  Normally I can hear a conversation three rows away on a tuesday night. Besides which I really want to win so hope you arent sitting next to me, stay at home with your ''negative'' comments.
 3.
[:)] thats were the smiles end blokes a donkey, hopefully was match fitness in not starting since early november but i doubt it [:|] thought this post may make few people happy
Made me smile, have a look at my post on page 3 of this link http://www.pinkun.com/cs/forums/3/1439053/ShowPost.aspx#1439053
 4.
It would help us get shot of Roedernowhere but that would be the only positive aspect!
You''re like a stuck record!
 5.
I don''t believe we have had to borrow a dozen players to get through the season, Roeder has decided to do it as a strategy. Maybe as an alternative to taking on 6-8 permanent free signings because we sure as hell couldn''t afford to buy another six or eight half decent players in the summer.
Then why do you suppose that we spent bugger all in the summer and now have no money.  This hasnt happened overnight.  On top of this Delia & MWJ have had to stump up the £2m shortfall for the Turners.  I would suggest there are enough indicators that he did have to loan players.
 6. Controversially i think his article, whilst i dont agree with everything in it, sums it up quite well for me. I dont think the Roeder out feeling on this message board is representative at all of the followers I speak to at all.  If the results, and subsequent league slide, continue at they have done then this will of course change.
 7.
Here here!! So many people on here get so worked up by rumours! All hear say I tell you! Seeing is believing. Slag him once it has happened.
I am sure that we will lose some of our most treasured players in Jan.  We all know the club has no money, like it or not, and that the squad is short of numbers.  There is only one solution and that is to sell those that we can get ££££ for and buy 2 or 3 on the cheap. Hardly what any fan wants and hardly Roeder wants.  Those who might slag him off for this are deluded and prejudiced.......perhaps we should keep all the players we own and just do with 9 or 10 on the field?
 8.
Well where is the evidence that Roeder has spent a lot of money? Have you done the maths? How do you know what the players wages are anyway, so how could you work it out?
Agreed, OP post is long but fails to include the only relevant thing here - figures.  Back to the drawing board, bring me some figures and you might persuade me.  Gut feeling is your wrong - now off to find smudgers post.
 9.

If the players lay down and get stuffed 4 or 5 nil tomorrow, they done it to worthington against burnley, if they''ve had enough of Roeder then thats what they''ll do. I really hope we get buried to get him out! Lupoli has clearly had enough of him Cureton had a bit of a dig in the paper, rusty said early season if he wasn''t getting played he''d think about things, come on charlton make 2009 get off to a flyer for me!
I think I''m right in saying that Drury and Doherty are the only survivors of the Burnley game.  We just need some old heads on the park, a decent central defensive partnership that gets injured, and a midfielder or two that won''t go missing.  Hopefully that''s what January will bring us.
yes i think your right, but these are his players now who are being played out of position or not even played at all, in my opinion i think they made a statement to him against against forest, we''ve seen it before and we''ll see it now.
I think you are giving the many loan players too much credit if you think that they care enough about the club to throw a game or not try. As for the money situation, it is relevant.  Yes Roeder has made many mistakes but that is not the full picture.  He spent peanuts in the summer and will have to sell some of the better players in January in order to bring in numbers (not necessarily quality).  I doubt it will improve next year and I suppose the lack of funds will be his fault again....
 10. He was given far far too long, but that was back when we could afford to pay off a manager. Lets hope the board dont make a knee jerk reaction and sink the finances by getting rid of Roeder.
 11. I agree, so why have you started another thread asking people if they would rather we got knocked out of the cup to lose roeder? Sick of these baiting threads on the ''are you a real fan'' lines....
 12. Roeder will be here whether you like it or not - we have no money.
 13.
Maybe Roeder was right, maybe he''s been shit because he has been half fit. He was good today, shame he wasn''t the rest of the tym
The only reason he was effective was the ref gave everything in his direction.  He crumbles like a ballerina with ricketts, not made for the physical nature of this division.
 14. If there is one thing I cannot stomach it is when things dont gel together in respect of passing (they certainly didnt today!) and the players dont dig in and make some crunching challenges....at least make life hard for the opposition, get stuck in and let them know we want it.  It can change a game, inspire and lift the team. Apart from a niglle by Clingan today I cant remember anyone gettting stuck in.  Second balls werent challenged often enough.  All in all a very half-hearted effort. Where were Russell and Patty today that should have been grinding out possession?  Woeful....
 15. A great athlete, not a natural footballer.  For some time now he has relied too much on his pace to cover up his defensive laziness and today he missed a lot of opportunities to push forward and/or overlap with croft.  Shocking performance today.
 16.
Its OK I''ve found where a gullible poster said it. Earlier in December a post started by a ''1st Wizard'' said it and this quote from Mrs Smith was produced to prove the poster wrong..... “If it was for the benefit of this club Michael and I would always be happy to stand aside because the only reason we are here, like you, we love the football club and want it to flourish and be a success." I note that after this quote was posted ''1st Wizard'' didn''t reply.
Seems all is quiet with 1st Wizard all of a sudden.  Unfortunately his passion knows no humility or reason sometimes.
 17.
Who would put their reputation on the line and become our manager though? "Wanted: Experienced manager who is able to advance a team to the play-offs with a budget of 27p" It doesn''t matter who''s in charge at our club, we''d be round about the same position in the league. What a load of old rubbish we are.
Agreed - I would give anything for some sort of improvement but I cant see we will be able to attract anyone at the moment.    Dowie - lets hope we never have to sink that low....
 18. TIL 1010 - you are really letting yourself down here. I had no concept of what NCISA does until I bothered to look after your posts.  If i take on face value the way you have responded to some of the posts on here (and yes I can see that plenty are baiting you!) then I start to feel uncomfortable that you representing city fans. I will reserve judgement for the moment though as I am sure you will see sense soon and start posting sensibly.
 19. Watching the police break up the ipswich fans, who were fighting amongst themselves, whilst we battered them on the pitch.  Very entertaining.
 20.

I am not so sure that anyone on here is representative of the average city fan.  Innevitably anyone who takes the trouble to post on a forum, as i am guilty of, is an extreme in some way.  However I believe that some of the posts recently are ridiculous, especially the get Roeder/board out blah blah blah, I have been supporting City for 40/65 years and I will never go to the game/post on the forum again etc, for the following reasons: Expectations - I have heard it at the ground too....Why on earth does anyone think that because we can fill a ground every week we have some sort of divine right to be fighting for promotion.  In the same way that if we had spend £5m in the close season would we be right to ''expect'' us to be fighting for promotion? No.  There are a million things that determine each and every games.  Some teams that spend a fortune underpeform, others do well on a shoestring.  I wouldnt describe the gate receipts as chickenfeed but Sky money makes them pale into insignificance.  Get Roeder/the Board out - Since the board have publicly announced their intention to try and find a buyer attention has turned to Roeder who is now a scapegoat for everyones disappointment and frustration.  Personally I think he has done well with extremely limited resources.  I think though that he cannot be fairly judged as he has not been given the funds.  He has been scrabbling around here and there and innevitably has made a few mistakes as well as finding some bargain gems.  If your boss told you that you cannot have the number and quality of staff that you believe you need to fulfill your job would you be happy? As for getting the board out?  Well I dont think Delia et al helped themselves by helping to play out a valuation by media with Cullum.  Their retort to Cullums bid was ridiculous.  However standing back from this Delias reported wealth is unfortunately not enough to support a club that wants to do well in the top leagues these days.  Football has moved on in terms of finances a lot in the past few years and the board have found themselves with shallow pockets.  Sad, yes, but hardly worthy of the vitriol that she has been handed out. Emotions - If we let these get the better of us we will lose out.  Patience is the key here.  Forcing Roeder or the board will only alienate other investors or managers from coming here.  We will also have a compo package to sort if we sack Roeder.  Booing at the players will make them nervous on the ball, afraid to push forward for fear of losing the ball etc.  There have been many posts alledgedly speaking to players that have confirmed this. I dont have the answers but I can see that it will be a bumpy road.  Expect some ups and downs.  Be patient and be loyal, we are in this for the long term as I fear that short term decisions will be made at our peril.
Sorry this is a little too sickly sweet for my money. Whilst I am an advocate for keeping it real and for not getting your knickers in a twist your title say get a grip of your emotions and expectations. Supporting a football team is all about expectation and emotions, that’s what make it exciting. To many fans are just as happy to accept everything as they are to criticize everything. We have heaps of extreme fans post on here from both sides but a good few who keep it real. Booing and ranting isn''t my scene but I don''t really think it can ever be held responsible for our awful performances. If nothing else because if you attend the game you will know that despite some bloody awful football we are supportive throughout the game. A few boo''s after the game if we are beaten is in the current climate to be expected and hardly surprising. Your seem to give no credence either to our history or following, again I think your just not taking in to consideration the whole picture. We are well supported and we are a club with a more illustrious history than  many a club above us or within the Premiership. And whilst thing will not always run smooth despite one season of promotion and one season of being battered in the premiership we have been in the wilderness playing very average football for well over a decade. Your post is I''m sure heart felt and I don''t disagree with all you say but you have to allow people to have emotions and more importantly expectations. I said in a post earlier this week that we have no money to replace Roeder and until a buyer comes up we need Delia to stay afloat. I can however see why people are unhappy, we have some poor footballers and play bad football a lot of the time and as for patience well that something I think we City fans have in spades.
A considered reply Hardhouse.  Its not that i dont understand or feel the hairs stand up on my neck when I think about our great achievements over the year its just that I really think this counts for very little at the moment.  Money is the only thing that will save us for sure and we have precious little of it.
 21.
Dont see anywhere in my post where I said I was satisfied  - peartreeproductions No, but you do say we should all remain silent at worst or supportive at best while things fall apart. I fail to see how this will make things better.  Should we be silent while Darfur goes to hell, or maybe cheer the Sudanese government into doing a better job? And YES, 50 consecutive years of being in the top 2 divisions of football absolutely does have something to do with it all.  I''ve been a supporter since 1972.  Many posters here were not even born then.  We are on the brink of going to a place I and people younger than me have never experienced, and never want to, and it''s for no good reason.
I think this is one of the points I was trying to make quite well demonstrated above.  You may be older than most posters but it doesnt make your opinion more or less valid than anyone else. Comparing the fall of Norwich city to the atrocities in Darfur is distasteful in the extreme.  You need to get a grip...
 22.
Expectations - Why?  Because teams with 1/2 or 1/4 the turnout at games are well ahead of us in the standings regularly.  Yes, there are other factors involved, but local support counts for a lot, or it sure as heck should.  If we DID spend a lot and underperformed, I doubt people would be calling for the board to leave. However, we have not spent much despite promises to do so over the last 5 or 6 trading periods. Roeder - Why?  Though stuck with limited resources, he does not seem to use what he DOES have very sensibly.  His line up selections are puzzling on a regular basis, as often as they are unsuccessful. Emotions - Why? Not showing upset has gotten us where we are today.  The ones running things think they can do whatever because there never is any upset.  The players who suck don''t have any incentive to get better because the fans are obviously satisfied because they don''t voice their displeasure. If you''re satisfied with things, bully for you.  Many of us are not, and we''re also tired of waiting.  Have you noticed we are precariously close to relegation to a division we haven''t been in for 50 years? Ahh, that''s okay.  Let''s be more patient!  Are you kidding me!?!?!?!?
Dont see anywhere in my post where I said I was satisfied with the performance, so bully for you.  50 years of history has nothing at all to do with what will happen to the club now im afraid. You keep booing then i am sure it is very productive (oops my assumption!)

 24.
ASHTON, SUTTON, FOX, DALE GORDAN,EARNMORE, wheres the  money gone its sounds of like city r in the s##t
Cant be Chris, there is the semblance of grammar about this.
 25. I think the thing is that come january we will have ''some'' money to spend. However that it will likely be less than £500k, perhaps substantially less, and therefore in practical terms might as well be sod all. We havent found a pot at the end of the rainbow since the turners left and Delia had to fund a £2m hole in the finances. (sorry, dont mean that to sound patronising).
