A hard copy can be purchased at a cost of five pounds, just ask for further info. The congestion zone has arrived which includes some areas around Ashton Gate, even the council don't like us. Check if your car is compliant HERE www.bristol.gov.uk/residents/streets-travel/bristols-caz/charges-and-vehicle-checker Coming by road. Do NOT USE M4/M32 route and don't try to negotiate the roads and streets of Bristol If you are coming by road use M4/M5 southbound to junction 18(Avonmouth) then follow signs A4 Bristol airport It looks the long way round but its quicker. Parking is normally in the streets around the area as long as you are there by 13:00pm please don't block drive ways or park on corners. Coming by train: please have your tickets issued to Parson Street, same price at BTM,even if you don't use the station. It will take you two thirds of the way to the ground and then walk the rest of the way. It will go some way towards getting a new train station nearer to Ashton Gate Split tickets can used using paddington/didcot/BTM(parson street) Great western Railway also have group save buy two returns and the third one is free Good train times to Parson street from London and the North departing Bristol temple meads 13:26pm 13:55pm and 14:26pm. If you board at Parson Street, you can avoid the ticket gates/barriers at Bristol temple Meads Casualty and Holby City were filmed in the City don't ask me about either of the programmes because I think their both rubbish The young ones was also filmed in the BS7 area of the City(actually its Bishopston) Finally the block of flats on the left behind the dolman stand side as you are in the away end is "the" block of flats in "fools and horses" Bring your camera and turn up early if you want to take any photo's Pubs not sure of which ones will be open, possibly best one are in the cumberland road basin area novia scotia pump house and the cottage. BBC Radio station is radio Bristol which has frequencies and 94:9 and DAB (and 95:5 up till 3pm), and the match commentary will be on BBC radio Bristol Please circulate to any other football forums and footy fans you may deem fit If you need any further info, don't be afraid to ask
  2. Did not even see the intitial allocation of tickets. I presume it was a maximum of 2,400. Would anyone have any indication of the price of the tickets? or for those who have already bought tickets could they supply details.
  3. I am lead to believe that 1,300 tickets have been sold for the away end.In season 2016/17 when Norwich City visited Ashton Gate 944 away fans attended That was a tuesday night in March 2017The first time Norwich City had been to Ashton Gate since 2010.Fair play to all of you attending,it''s nearly five hour drive from Norwich
  4. Hope you don''t mind a Bristol City fan coming on your boards with some local info. Buy your tickets in advance as there is  NO PAY ON THE DAY for away fans. Coming by road Do NOT USE M5 M4 M32 route and don''t try to negotiate the roads and streets of Bristol YOU WILL GET LOST If you are coming by road use M5 southbound to junction 18(Avonmouth) then follow signs A4 Bristol airport It looks the long way round but its quicker.Parking is normally in the streets around the area as long as you are there by 1pm. If you are coming by train there is a local train service to PARSON STREET at 12:25 13:25 13:56 and 14:25 Good train times as most trains from the North or from the London direction arrive at quarter to the hour or quarter past the hour it takes you two thirds of the way to the ground and walk the rest of the way return by train to Bristol T.M. is at 17:37pm You will pass Sainsburys on the left with restaurant Robins pub again on your left hand side When you approach the ground I suggest you walk past wickes using the pavement as the concourse area behind the big new stand gets very congested with bodies Please make sure you get your train ticket showing PARSON STREET We are trying to promote PARSON STREET for football fans till Ashton gate halt comes on line If there are at least three of you get a taxi Make sure the taxi driver drops you in the Ashton Road end as it a very long walk round from the other end or use the brown buses from the bottom of the incline of the station. Which depart approx 13:55pm with returns just after the match finishes On your return to London or the North the trains leave Bristol Temple Measds at 17:30pm and I think you will struggle to get back to Bristol Temple meads for 17:30pm Casualty and Hobly City were filmed in the City don''t ask me about either of the programmes cos I think their both crap The young ones was also filmed in the BS7 area of the City (actually its Bishopston) Finally the block of flats on the left behind the dolman stand side as you are in the away end is "the" block of flats in "fools and horses" Bring yer camera and turn up early if you wanna take any photo''s Pubs possibly best one are in the cumberland road basin area novia scotia pump house and the cottage. Buy your match day programme before you enter the away end. BBC Radio station is radio bristol which has frequenceys and 94:9 and DAB (and 95:5 up till 3pm) and the match commentary it will be on BBC radio bristol DAB Pubs: best ones are along the Cumberland Roads area, suggest park your car and then walk to the ground If you want or need any further local info please don''t be afraid to ask.
  5. I''m gonna leave you all in peace now, so good luck for the rest of the season Ref the police filming, I can only say we don''t normally get home fans being filmed So could it have been the Norfolk police When we were at cardiff last week, we were fimed by three different camera operators
  6. During the years 1976/80 (the top flight years) I had to work most saturday afternoons to just scrape a living, things much much better nowadays regarding the cars that were ticketed in another area not far from  the ground, THREE cars were broken into Its not very nice to see, as I had to walk by them, and it has happened to me were any of your fans cars done? Midway through the second half left hand side, as you looked at the pitch I am lead to believe that (evans?) stamped on brad orrs(number 2) foot one forum poster said that brad orr did not retalirate, spoke to some one this sunday morning who said that brad orr swung a punch that missed, did any of you see either incident?
  7. Thanks for your comments Bottles I know its a pain having the tops removed but I think some bottles have been used as a weapon to throw at players, fans or just onto the pitch although it don''t stop any one  filling it up with liquid or human waste, putting a peice of paper in the top and then slinging it at someone  or something or somewhere luck I think we have been very very lucky this season we went leicester and they had NINE golden chances and they never converted any of them  I think the best performance we have had this season was at carrow road
  8. I don''t think I will see England win the world cup or euros again. I am one of the few that remain that have seen England win the world cup in black and white in 1966 So next best thing is to see Bristol City in the top flight Most Bristol City fans, and I include my self, wouldn''t care if we got beat home and away in every game we play in the top flight in 2008/09 Be nice to see my team playing at Man Utd Arsenal Liverpool Chelsea etc
  9. Firstly I think you were unlucky to lose in the end as you over ran us in the second half can I ask for those who went to the game your thoughts on the your route to and from the game by car/train/coach stewards police turnstile staff catering I know about the no backs on the seats I think the norwich fans totalled  approx 1,200

  13. hope you don''t mind a Bristol City fan coming on your boards with some local info Firstly hope as many of as possible can make the trip to Bristol.on 29 march If you can buy yer tickets in advance you can get any discounts If you want to buy your tickets in advance please don''t ring the Bristol City premium rate phone number. The club charges for credit card bookings and also charges a pound if you want the tickets sent to your home best advice is send a cheque for the amount and pick up tickets on the day If you are one of those fans who like to keep ticket stubs of your away games no ticket stubs are issued at the turnstiles either book the tickets in advance as suggested or purchase from the Bristol city ticket office on the day If you are bringing young ones to the game and they still "look young" speak to the chief steward before handing over money No "unkind" comments please If you are coming by road use M5 southbound to junction 18(avonmouth) then follow signs A4 bristol airport It looks the long way round but traffic in central Bristol is awfull If you are coming by train thier is a local service to parson street which will take you two thirds of the way to the ground departure time from Bristol temple meads XX:25 past the hour public transport to the ground is not a lot of cop The ground is designated not smoking, but thier always seems to be a lot of fag ends between the toilet block and the catering block!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Bristol City produce a match day DVD of all home games cost is 12 pounds with full commentry not sure of the postal charges Casualty and Hobly City are filmed in the City don''t ask me about either of the programmes cos I think thier both crap Finally the block of flats on the right hand side as you are in the away end is "the" block of flats in "fools and horses" The market scene where the footballers manaquins are cut into the wall are at the away end of the ground in the club car park Bring yer camera and turn up early if you wanna take any photo''s Very few matches have any police presence yours should be designated "police free" Be prepared to be searched by the stewards. regarding the food outlet in the ground its crap, staffed by agency staff whose purpose is to do as little as possible KFC can be seen from the away end(two minutes walk, honest) and sainsburys store is five minutes with restaurant pubs possibly best one are in the cumberland basin area novia scotia pump house weatherspoons just outside the railway station or the big old pub on platform three of temple meads station no booze is sold in the ground BBC Radio station is radio bristol which has frequenceys of 95:5 and 94:9 1548   If you want or need any further local info please don''t be afraid to ask.
