1.
yeah agree we need to keep hold of chippy
Why?
 2.
Taylor was one of the most overrated managers in recent history as far as i''m concerned. The majority of us here could take the England u21 squad to fairly successful form. He''s pretty much flopped at every club he''s managed... in particular... at leicester whereby he was billed as the next big thing and single handedly destroyed everything martin o''neill created within months... but... he did start his career at Dartford... maybe Norwich believe the impact of Cody can be duplicated with management too.
Who has he failed at other than (arguably) Leicester? Any ideas or did he fall out of your premiership radar and actually you haven''t got a clue?
 3.
Well Fuglestad, what exactly is there to look forward to visiting grounds in the third division? We shouldn''t be here and I, and many other fans sincerely hope it''s a brief stay. We are better than this and it''s got to be the aim of everyone at NCFC to get us out of this "hell hole" and fast, preferably in some kind of style. Low league, low expectations (pardon me if I am arrogant, but NCFC used to be respected, now we are pitied or ridiculed) and before too long low attendances. That''s what we will be if we are here too long. Look at how Delia has played on being in the Championship - aka her old lapdog Doncaster and his frequent utterings of how we couldn''t possibly compete with the likes of Preston. Don''t fall for it and don''t let anyone lower your expectations. If the club is going to get back to first the Championship (2nd Division) and ultimately the Premiership (1st) then we need tough decisions, quality players and most of all it seems a wise and experienced manager who can kick the arse of some of our players into performing in EVERY match and have pride, fight and enough skill to bag enough points so we don''t have to endure anymore than is necessary of this league. I am glad Neil is as forthright as he is. If you prefer spin and pretty words and stories, then I suggest you sign up for the NCFC school of spin. Chris Lakey told it exactly how it was in his recent video report. More of the same please Chris.
Terracing at some away games for a start. Going to grounds we''ve never been to before. Meeting "real" football fans, who''ve had to "put up with" a hell of a lot more crap than us.  The opportunity to be within heckling distance of Ken Bates. Being able to throw as much verbal abuse at Franchise FC as humanly possible. Being able to watch players, who are a bit different, less inclined to be 6ft athletes, more inclined to be funny little John Robertson types. Unpredictabilty. Singing at grounds. Seeing how pissed off the Radio Norfolk and Archant boys are, at having to endure being paid to go to places, we happily pay to go to.     Neil Adams may be forthright fine. But ignorant, unprofessional, condescending and too lazy to do any research whatsoever, isn''t fine by me.
 4.

I don''t think he''s worked in the bar at Yellas yet, or is that position reserved for Daryl Sutch''s return
Hilarious. Lets take the p!ss out of two of our most loyal, long-serving players, YOU KNOW THE ONES WHO ACTUALLY SEEMED LIKE THEY CARED.
What the hell are you talking about, have you taken leave of your senses completely?    For heavens sake my learned fellow Bury yellow was referring to one of the biggest turkeys to ever pull on the shirt when referring to Daryl ----- Sutch, did you ever actually watch him play, were you ever impressed by him, were you happy to see him get picked ahead of Danny Mills?  It’s been a mad weekend but that really took for biscuit and as for Gunn? I’m sorry but the guy took a massive gamble and failed and the tragedy of it all is I doubt he could ever have job at FCR again, that was the price he was always going to have to pay.  Sad, very sad indeed.
Did you ever see Sutch play? I have vivid memories of my first season at Carrow Road 1992/93. Maybe he should have gone years before he did, but in that season he was a cracking player, who scored and set up several crucial goals. However my point was that he seemed like he cared. That''s all I ask for, players who care, if he wasn''t good enough, that''s not his fault, it''s the managers for picking him. And several managers over the years with far more football knowledge than any of us, thought he was decent enough to get in the team. Watch the 1992/93 video, if you can''t remember it.
 5. Last Friday''s events have clearly had a big impact. Most worryingly I find myself agreeing with Bly for the first time, and Smudger quoted a post of mine to make his point! Blimey. A lot of you, who think it was the correct decision to fire Gunn, seem to accuse those who don''t of sentimentality. What is supporting Norwich City about if it isn''t sentimentality? without sentiment it must be purely geography which is rather depressing. A football club cannot be purely a business. It cannot be win at all costs. Otherwise what is the point? Norwich City has to feel like our team, and it takes a little more then living near the ground to make a club feel like mine. Personally, I''ve never been ashamed of my club before, I am now. I know you can all say "7-1 at home should make you ashamed". Maybe it should, it just made me embarrased. I don''t care what league we''re in to be honest. I just want to go to the football, recognise the team as "ours", and will them to win. Whatever happens now, will be tinged with sadness. In all honesty, if we win the league now, I will feel very little. It will be nothing like the pride I felt when we won the Championship, as the man who built the bloody team won''t be there. For the first time ever, and for very different reasons to the majority of you....I want the board out.
 6. I think I''d rather appoint Jimmy-Floyd. Dowie is a tit of the highest (or should that be lowest) order.
 7. Archant have been just as patronising, I think it was Lakey who summed up a summer "report" by stating there was nothing to look forward to next season in League 1.  Neil wound me up this week by happily admitting to knowing nothing about the players we are playing against. then moaning about having to visit "hell-holes". If I was a fan of a club like Exeter, I would have been bloody delighted when the mighty Norwich City were humbled by Colchester. Why are we so arrogant? We are league 1, can we please stop taking the p!ss out of the other clubs at our level. And, if i hear one more "expert" lazily ramble on about how we all have to play hoofball and fight because it''s lower league football I will quite possibly cry.
 8.
NORWICH CITY FOOTBALL CLUB   without our club name, we would not be one of the favourites to go back up, if Walsall had our squad, would they be favourites for promotion?? NO we are just a NAME and have not got the quality!!
You clearly know very little about the players Gunn signed.
 9.
Gunn got 20 games and a relegation, any new guy deserves 3 months at least.
Depends how you look at it. In my eyes he got offered a one year deal in the summer, and got two games.
 10.
Did the way the team play change at all from Tuesday/Saturday (not that its much to go one..) or for more comparison last season... i really believe that Norwich is run by Delia and not the manager, because since Worthy (even during his time) we have played the exact same type of game (not every game, but mostly)...
Yes we have played the exact same type of game, it''s called football (not every game). Yes Delia picks the team and tactics, of course she does...what do you think her evil plan is exactly? Could it not be that Mr and Mrs Wynn Jones tried to help their football club, and it''s all gone tits up. They don''t have a clue what to do, and have thereby given "the power" to our new chief executioner?
 11. I have mentioned this on other threads, but is anybody else worried about the precedent the club has now set. Say we appoint a new manager and his first game is at home, and we lose, say 3-1, then lose our next two? Surely he would have to be fired. Or do we go with "it isn''t his side, let''s see what he can do once he''s got his own splayers in" and wait till January? Then sack him if he loses the first game in February? Obviously your opinions will be different based on how famous the manager is, but how long does the next one get?
 12.
 13. I was hopeful, but, based on his one significant decision so far, I am strongly against that decision. The evidence so far suggests that he is trigger-happy and lacks a long term strategy. Hopefully, he and the board will bring a good manager in. However he/the board have set a ridiculous precedent. So, we now need to find an experienced manager, who is happy to work with somebody else''s squad, who will be told he must get us promoted this year or he will be fired, who will not be put off by the likelyhood of being fired if we lose a few games, who is happy to work in League 1, and presumably with very little money or time to buy his own players. He will also be aware that there are likely to be protests against the board throughout the season. Impatient fans who will groan to every miss placed pass, and boo the team off if losing at half time, regardless of how well they played. Good luck.
 14.

Am i mistaken here? But havent we just got a new Board who did what you disilusional be11 ends wanted and sacked Gunn, and yet you want them out for doing you all a "favour", Im sure Delia would have been in with the Decision? So please someone tell me what this Board has done wrong? Oh and if it isnt a new board, please tell me and then i will be the d1ck . Are you fans never happy??? Oh and hasnt it been, what about 24 hours since weve seen one of Smudge''s ridicolous rants? Sorry but im just sick of you tw*ts, are you NEVER happy? Sod off to ipswich then...
Are you thick?  How many times on this thread has the words DELIA AND MWJ We are NOT protesting McNally, he is a great signing.
Why is McNally a "great signing"? Can he play upfront? The fact that you lot have discussed the chief executioner more than any of the players this summer worries me. McNally isn''t GOD. Some of you may have noticed he wasn''t actually in charge at Fulham or Celtic. So our new messiah, is essentially, a businessman who worked for Celtic and Fulham for a few years. He has never been in charge and as far as I''m aware never previously been involved in recruiting or firing managers. How come so many of you seem to trust and like him more than a man who has worked at the club for twenty odd years, and signed lots of very good players this summer? What happens if the next manager loses his first three games?
 15.
It would appear he''s totally finished at City, and he''s fed off us well, that makes happy, sorry, but thats my view.
What a horrible, ugly way to think. I''ll talk all day about mercenary footballers, but don''t imply Bryan Gunn, thinks about the club in such a cynical, nasty little way as your warped mind.
 16.

I would genuinely rather eat one of my own testicles than have Wise anywhere near this club.
Poached, boiled, fried or scrambled?
Raw! Obviously I''d rather kick Dennis Wise in his.
 17. It must be said there is a silver lining to the cloud over the club. We can now appoint a new manager who will obviously discredit Gunn''s work over the summer, as soon as he get''s a bad result. And bring on the loans!!!! Oh that''s if he doesn;t get fired, what a precedent we''ve set now. Lose at home, unacceptable. sack the manager. May I be the first to say what you''ll all be saying by the end of the season......McNally Out!
 18. I would genuinely rather eat one of my own testicles than have Wise anywhere near this club.
 19. I do find the substitution decisions at Norwich shocking and have done for some years. Alongside our decade long adversion to crossing the ball when awarded a corner, and standing somewhere near the guy taking the throw in when one is given. Also our general lack of movement off the ball in any way whatsoever. Anyhow, back to the point. I seems generally accepted (well it says so in Iwan''s autobiography) that it takes around ten minutes for a player to find his feet/get into the game/find his rhythm etc. Substitutions in the last ten minutes are for timewasting purposes only, so why we do them when chasing a game is beyond me. What is even more confusing is why I still give a sh!t. What is left?
 20.
Is your girlfiend from the Larkman then Fuglestad? or just a heat reading big brother fan?
Well Juan, if only I''d found this sooner. I was wondering who would decide to insult me/her/us, but forgot all about it. I''m sure we all have bigger things to worry about but what is it exactly that offends you? The word "buff" or the word "tap"? I''m confused. Does using such language make you "lower class"? which I presume is what you''re implying with your Larkman reference. As you asked she isn''t from Larkman, or Norwich for that matter, but then her Dad is a mechanic, so very blue collar I''m afraid. Sorry. Think of poor paupers like us the next time your folks buy you new trainers. We don''t have a television, so no big brother. Heat magazine has been present in our flat, but hey, you all read it when nobody''s looking.
 21. We get what we deserve which is feck all. What a horrible club to support and horrible people to share it with. What is left? Cheering laundry indeed...
 22.
He is not a nice bloke - he is an arrogant t---t who didn''t sound the least bit hurt about today''s shambolic display. We have to pin our hopes on the new CE having a bit more about him than the previous buffoon. I don''t believe he will tolerate many more ''efforts'' like todays.
You are beyond contempt. Do you really really believe Gunn wasn''t hurt by todays performance? That is ridiculous. Whatever your opinions on him as a manager, of course the man is hurt. Now you say Gunn did not sound in the least bit hurt, you are wrong, he is hurt. You sound like a hateful prick, I''m probably wrong, and overeacting because we''re all hurting, Gunn included, can''t say I''m sure the players are though.
 23. If we are one-nil down at half time, people will boo. These people are morons and are trying to turn football into pantomime.
 24. I''ll tentatively say well done Mr Velasco, on posting something based on evidence, and correcting that pesky Wikipedia. Holt looks like a great signing, scores when he gets regular games. Can we not start to boo him if he doesn''t score in the first five games though?
 25.

Have to agree with Loan City, saw a picture of him the other day, he looked massive, a disgrace really considering he''s STILL a professional footballer [:|]
Really? This must be an old photo then... http://www.canaries.co.uk/javaImages/b8/4a/0,,10355~6507192,00.jpg
I just showed my girlfriend the photo and asked what she thought of that man''s body and got: "He''s quite buff, good shoulders...I''d tap that"
