  1. Sorry but this is one of the main reasons the majority of football fans annoy the hell out of me. Robert Eagle has played a handful of first team games and has shown in those games he can cross the ball pretty well. He hasn''t shown a great deal else, this does not mean he never will. Footballers take time to develop, Eagle played a handful of games in one of the worst spells in our recent history. Rossi Jarvis and Spillane have only had a few games also and many of you have decided they''re crap. If Robert Eagle couldn''t cross or pass well, then I imagine that the proffessionals who watch him play every day might have noticed. Everyone is intitled to their opinion, but saying a player is incapable of any footballing skills whatsoever is just ignorant. Chances are he will end up in League 2 or Conference, but I think Norwich fans will probably help him get there, by the annoying collective groan which accompanies any mis-placed pass. These things do affect young players. Players do not dare try anything at all audatious as they will be booed for it. It is a pathetic mentatilty. Let the players play, cheer when something good happens, boo if a player is not giving his all.Sorry for the rant, but think about how many players have left Norwich because they are supposedly rubbish and gone on to succesful careers elsewhere. Coaches and scouts are not idiots, Eagle has some talent. There are many factors which will decide his future; his personal ambition, the correct coaching, good loan spells, motivation, fan backing, how many left wingers we have at the club, and many others. Just try and be supportive please.
  2. Agreed. It would be stupid not to give him another year. He''s still the best attacking player we have by a long way. He has proven himself over the last few months, and deserves it. SIGN HIM UP.
  3. Steeno''s was probably the most enjoyable and best for me. Steen was great. John Polston at home to Villa in 1992/93 was delightful also, but not a great goal by any standards. Lappin, scored a cracker this season (I think) keeper off his line, Lappin was wide and showed he has a great left foot with a precise finish, if only he wasn''t so slow. Safri''s against Newcastle also brilliant and vital at the time. I''m sure Ashton or Earnshaw must have scored a few crackers, but none spring to mind. Any ideas?
  4. Carrow Road like most other grounds is horribly quiet. You can hear what the players are shouting to each other, in most areas of the ground throughout most matches. It would help if the authorities allowed the Barclay (and similar) to be standing again, I see no reason why this cannot be done safely. I think people go to matches with the mentatity of sitting back waiting to be entertained, it doesn''t help that singing is tutted at by sections of our support. The "siddown" Brigade.
  5. I have been reading these forums for a while now and see this an an appropriate moment to sign up. My first match was against Chelsea at home in 1991/92 and the score was 1-1. By my calculations, I would have been 7 or 8, standing on a plastic bucket on the terraces at the river end. Really wish I''d had more than two matches on the terraces before they were replaced by the silence enducing seating and I got my first season ticket. Find people who "support" big teams on sky sports difficult to understand. I cannot believe that any Chelsea fan got anywhere near as much pleasure from their recent success as  I did when we won the league, so I console myself with that.   I was waiting for it and a few weeks ago I saw a chap on London Street wearing an LA Galaxy shirt.
