  1. This has to be my personal favourite , the quality of the songwriting is of a very high standard. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=apgTs9cu0tI
  2. Is  Ruel Fox  an Ipswich lad? does a bear shit in the woods? Back then nobody gave a monkeys because the blue scum were so absymal  (even their shirts has Fisons on them) and we were so good ,being a division above them.I can remember a Barclay terrace chant quite well after we went 3-0 up against rock bottom Sheffield  Utd  (i think Vinnie Jones had just scored an own goal)..They sang "  Youuuuuu''lllllllllllll....... be....... playing ......Ipswich Town!!!
  3. Russell Crowe or Josh Brolin as Grant Holt Helen Mirren as Delia Jason Statham as John Ruddy
  4. Can somebody please tell me how many mistakes  Ruddy has made which has cost us points? of course his "Felled Oak" impression v Watford on his debut didn''t impress but thankfully it didn''t set the tone . Ruddy has the same physical presence as a certain red nose Danish goalkeeper ( a useful attribute for the Prem). He is our Number One so get used to it  and i hate to say it but he will probably be facing more penalties next season due to Refs favouring the big teams, especially away from home.
  5. Great Post!....,To be Fair  Worthy was a bit star struck by the Prem the last time we got promoted and of course he signed the 2 Viking  internationals Helveg and Jonson ,signing a player based on  a previous World Cup /Euro championship  showing (if history has taught us anything )will always cloud your judgment. We want players who would be happy to sign for us even  if we were still in the Championship.
  6. Has anyone got the  youtube link for Jacksons ghoul so i can download it onto my mp4 player?
  7. I have just been having a gander at the Swansea  message board and it seems that Swans fans  think that this will be a closely fought game between 2 good teams but are confident that  Rodgers will outsmart Lambert. They seem to have hit the jackpot with their new Italian striker Borini but are a little envious of the fact that we have Lansbury.Lets face it... this is the game which  is tailor-made for Lansbury  to shine. If we allow them to ping the ball around like at Carrow rd , then a draw is the best we can hope for .
  8. Last 2 ghouls here, Gooners fans are already salivating  about Lansbury in ther comments section. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=f0t4thVhXMI&feature=related
  9. Give the bloke his due, He converted a  half chance , turned his man  from a difficult bouncing ball and scored. How many ghouls do you see scored where the last defender can only help the ball into the net? That ghoul took more skill than Dirk Kuyts tap in against Manure at the weekend. If someone like Bergkamp scored that nobody would be talking about a lucky deflection. 100 per cent of people on this board would be claiming  if they scored  a similar   one  for their local pub team .
  10. Dave was the man , a class act ,  a very under-rated manager who produced arguably our  best ever team in 1988/89.
  11. As most of us would have a bet on us being in the play -offs  ,( that is if we can''t scrape automatic) , i was wondering how...what with Lambert''s playing career ,he would approach a Play-off semi? /...Final.Would it be any different from the remaining league fixtures we had ?Lets not forget that he played under  Martin ONeill, who in turn played under the Greatest British  manager ever ."ole big head" himself. One of Clough''s tactics before any  Cup final /Semi was ingenius. He would  get all of his Forest   players in a hotel room on the eve of the game and order trays of beer or bottles of wine, he would then say to them "Nobody leaves until that lot is finished!", then lock the door.He figured that it was better for them to have a really good nights sleep and a mild hangover (which would fade)than having  them unable to sleep because of nervous tension, which in turn would be detrimental to their performance.I can''t picture Lambert doing this .As for our penalty takers who would you have ?Who should NOT be allowed to take one ?
  12. If Lansbury continues to  score and set up  important goals for us then i feel he has earned the right to celebrate   like a complete twat .
  13. Shame about the result but worth seeing only for Holty''s Mark Hughes special http://rutube.ru/tracks/4066539.html?v=da00dba23a944f7b578e65bd9531d9f3
  14. The Rioch is actually an impressive ground but soulless, suitable for hosting the likes of Manure ,Liverpool etc.I have been there twice , the second time  when we lost  0-2 .In the second half City were kicking towards their own fans with Jamie Cureton and OJ Koroma up front. There was a whole bank of empty seats behind the goal so i left my designated seat and went down and sat there  in the vain  hope that should we score a goal , i would see myself on the TV highlights or in the local rag.
  15. "This time next year Rodney we won''t be thinking about this muppet, we will be wallowing in Skys Premiership millions, in fact our biggest problem will be what to do with all the fucking money"
  16. If there was one game which summed up the abilities of Gunn as a player it was the live ITV game against Millwall away back in the days before Sky and the money men had their noses in the trough.Millwall threw the kitchen sink at our defence and Gunn made about 4 brilliant saves before Flecky scored with a superb half volley at the death.Everyone in the land who watched the game knew that Gunn was the man of the match but Ian St John gave it to Terry Hurlock to appease the Millwall fans and avoid any abuse leaving the ground. He is not tainted in my book.
  17. Bellamy will always be a legend in my book , if fact before Muscat took him out he was starting to form a formidable partnership with Iwan (at his peak)and that season we were well on course for the play-offs under Rioch.Had he got through that Wolves match unscathed then he would have probably been in the Prem with us .
  18. Goreham is a class act ,not only with the game but also with the after match interviews. He is only a young bloke so i would expect him to get even better with more experience.I would love to hear some of the whingers of the quality of the commentary have a go themselves with a Norwich City game ,now that would be pure comedy gold.,lots of effing and blinding spring to mind.
  19. I stand corrected , i didn''t realize the tickets  were so expensive
  20. Only 13,000 ,...abysmal ... judging by the success of the under 21 England match surely we could do better at Carrow road if we hosted one of these internationals. If Brazil were in town i would definitely try to go, better than staying at home and watching TV.Maybe a business opportunity for the future.
  21. I know i am getting way ahead of myself here but just supposing we get promoted to the Prem this season. All very exciting locking horns with the big boys (thats hard enough) but what about dealing with the thug teams lying in wait like Sam Allardyce ''s Blackburn and Tony Pulis''s Stoke City. Can you imagine the uproar on this board if Ryan Shawcross takes out Wes at the knee and puts him out for 4 months. If Lambert could have been arsed about the League cup then i think we would have played Blackburn off the park .More importantly how would our fans react if Lambert sent out teams just to stop the opposition playing ?If it meant staying in the Prem by the skin of our teeth , would you accept it?
  22. In their defence , I think it takes "Brass Balls" to ring in knowing that there are thousands of piss taking canary fans listening in .It is the people who phone in just because they get some kind of kick of being on the radio (wanting to be noticed) ,not because they can offer any intelligent input worth listening to which annoys me.
  23. Yep a smart move by the club, a fitting tribute because come Saturday afternoon or during a midweek game  there was no other place  that Roy would rather have been .It really was a pity we lost on penalties to Birmingham  in the play-off final in 2002, not just because of the promotion to the prem but because we didn''t get to hear Roy really go off the Richter scale.
  24. One of the reasons why Lambert would never lose the dressing room i think would be the fact that he can always point to his Champions League medal and say Jack Charlton style "When you have got one of these (world cup winners medal), then you can argue with me". It is actually hard to say who has been the most successful when you scrutinize their playing careers.I doubt that Lambert would have left the Jocks in the lurch on the eve of a World Cup however.
