1. Just typical. Nice pleasant little thread going on, bit of a sing song started....... and moaning old Wiz has to come along and F*** it all up again !!!! Tiresome little man. [|-)]
2. There seems to be a lot of people going for Velasco at RB.  My question is why? What has Semi done wrong? I think he''s been playing very well and has formed a great understanding with Crofty. Added to this Velasco has only played a couple of minutes in the last 6 or 7 months so is not match fit and is not the quickest player by all accounts. I''d stick with Semi.  You''ve got to bing Fozzy back I think, for his leadership and passing but stick with Patty for his grit. Hopefully a better balance than last week. My team :         Marsh    Semi      Doc      Pearce   Bertie    Crofty   Fozzy    Patty   Hucks                Chedders   Dion Subs: Gilks, Curo, Shacks, Gibbs, Mo Got to stick with Hucks, get him match fit.
3. Young Chedders??  Absolute rubbish, completely useless, you should get rid of him at the earliest opportunity............. to us......... now........ for about £50,000............... how does that sound?  Good deal?? Just mention it to Sven next time you see him.  Thanks for your good wishes Paul, hope this information helps [*-)]
4.
Totaly agree Wiz,every season we bid big for a player who is worth a million or so more than we bid.We then sell all our best players and buy in a cheap replacements. The good news this year is we won''t sell our best assets on the grounds we don''t have any :). After the 8 loan signings go back (we might keep one) then Dublin retires and possibly the end of the Hux aswell we are left with the best part of naff all. For me even if it is true we are going to spend money they have cried wolf one too many times for me,my season ticket is not getting renewed. Spend money your having a laugh,I am sorry to say it but if they strip, strip and strip again there assets they can''t expect people to put up with it time and time again. Far too much money has been spent off the pitch and not on it,I look forward to my return to Carrow Road but it won''t be until these money grabbing non football fools are no longer in charge of OUR football club.
First bit of good news today ! You''re not renewing your season ticket !  I''ll bet if any of the players read this forum they''ll be celebrating too.  I doubt any of them like the thought of having to perform in front of so call fans like you who describe them as the "best part of naff all".  I expect the people sitting around you will be mightily relieved when you don''t show up next season too, probably very grateful not to have to listen to you moan throughout the game.  Let''s hope a real supporter gets your seat to watch OUR club, hopefully in the Premiership next season. How gutted will you be then?
5. You stick to your guns Nigel, I''m definitely with you on this one.  I''d rather have Evans than Nugent any day. Those people who are raving about Nugent are probably the same ones who are slagging off Curo for being a one season wonder.  Pretty much the same scenario really as Nugent hasn''t accomplished anything at Pompey and they can''t wait to get shot of him in spite of losing old Benywassisname to Man C. As for this transfer/loan arguement in which all the "board slaggers" seem to be having a field day, where is your arguement and what exactly is it based on??  So far all I can see is a giant leap from 8 pts and bottom to 45 pts and top half.  Have we done something wrong there? Are you saying if we''d bought a few over priced players in the Jan transfer window then we''d be top??  I don''t think so. So, where is the Bl**dy problem FFS, you bunch of moaning, never satisfied, board slagging (no doubt soon to be Roeder slagging), ungrateful, whingeing.................................... [8o|]
6. Were you out chasing some bloke with 3 wheels on his wagon???
7.

.However that doesn''t prevent me from saying that I think you are talking a load of tosh.
He didn''t do any tackles, I can only remember say 1 or 2
Ok Fellas. Which was it? None, 1 or 2? [^o)]
8. OK agreed, there'' is no place for racist chants in football, of which I have heard none at Carra. But get a life will you !! Chanting and "friendly" abuse are all part of football and I doubt anyone is being malicious.  I mean, how many "inbred" chants have we had sung about us over the years. As for slagging off the Barclay Boys for not being witty enough and having no imagination.  Well if you think you can do better then stand up and bloody well sing something yourself.  I expect most of these negative comments are from people who regularly sit elsewhere and don''t even sing "On the ball....." Probably because they don''t even know the words!! Leave the Barclay Boys alone ! Without then Carrow road would be as silent as a graveyard.
9. Tee hee.  Nice to see the sense of humour is alive and kicking. Sorry though Wiz, I have to go along with the "well earned" line.  I think as a squad morale exercise Glenn has got it just right.  I know, from personal experience, that these short warm weather "breaks", and I use the term loosely are extremely good for building team spirit.  Having the lads all together for a few days and nights continuosly, as opposed to say just the day a Colney and then home in the evenings, will be great for the lads, especially the loanees who may be feeling a little like the new kids in class.  A nice bit of sunshine always helps the feel good factor too, though I doubt Glenn will be taking it too easy on them.  Training in a sudden increase in temperature can be very demanding too.
10.

"Some would say it is not even a yellow card."
That is a pretty ridiculous quote. And he was doing so well.
Actually Graham, even the commentators in the studio at half time said initially they didn''t think it warranted a yellow.  I have to agree at first sight and think the ref has reacted to the resulting injury rather than the challenge itself.
11.

And will people stop going on about TINY !!  Which part of HE WASN''T FOR SALE don''t you understand !!
Oh, but he was Scooby. QPR met Birmingham''s valuation of £1.3 million for him in early January, and were given permision to speak to him, it was covered in detail on here, it was Taylor who turned them down............not Birmingham. Stick to the facts next time.
Yes Wiz, "given permission to speak to"   NOT buy.  McLeish was not going to sell him until they had a replacement, which did not materialise, hence NO SALE .............. get it?
12.   Oh you do make me laugh Wiz, you''ve shot yourself in the foot there !!! Fancy admitting that merely seeing your avatar equates to another negative thread!!!!  Ooooooh my sides have well and truly split [:''(] Lo and behold another negative thread.  Another 3 points and Wiz finds something else to moan about.  If we get promoted you''ll probably start a thread that the pies at half time weren''t cooked right.
13. Oh FFS !  Poor man''s,  Taylor is NOT a disgusting thug.  The tackle was not horrendous, the outcome was. The tackle was poor, mistimed and unfortunate. Not in any way malicious. I would have Tiny back like a shot!
14. I think it was the great Wayne Gretzky who said "100% of the shots you don''t take don''t go in".  By the same token 100% of the "killer passes" you don''t try don''t come off.  Come on people, why not give the guys, especially Patty, some credit for trying.  It would only have taken one of them to work and you''d all have been saying "what a fantastic ball to set up that goal".  I seem to remember a great many people being critical of midfielders who only play the short ball or only pass backwards or sideways.  Ambition is never a bad thing.
15. Glenn says he''s not going anywhere. Official site today.
16.
I know he causes alot of discussion, espacially on Canary Call, but for me, he has been a solid performer all season long, yes, makes the odd mistake, but to buy a defender who doesn''t would cost £5m plus.
You can''t buy a defender who doesn''t make mistakes, for any price! How much did Ferdinand cost Utd??? I''m glad we have Doc, a good honest hard working footballer who loves the club and gives the team some backbone. And will people stop going on about TINY !!  Which part of HE WASN''T FOR SALE don''t you understand !!
17. Definitely the best news for this weekend, well done Glenn.  I''d like to see him on the left in a 4-3-3 with Bertie and Mo behind him.
18. I remember seeing Rossi play a few seasons ago in a pre season friendly, Inter I believe, and thinking he was the best player in a yellow shirt that day. Full of confidence and a really good touch, not at all overawed by the opposition. The ability is definitely there so what''s happened to the confidence? Maybe Glenn is the man to bring it back.
19. Even if we get enough points to get close to the playoffs our problem will be goal difference.  With this in mind, and the lack of goals at Carra recently I say ATTACK, ATTACK!! I would say we''re safe (ish) from the drop so what do we have to lose, be bold Glenn. Therefore my team would be:               Marsh Semi   Doc   Shacks   Mo Gibbs/Henry   Patty   Bertie    Crofty   Ched   Hucks Subs, Gilks Pearce Vela Curo Rossi Should be enough pace to scare any back four but PLEASE Glenn don''t play the Doc up front, BIG mistake ...... HUGE !!  I know either Gibbs or Henry don''t make the bench, but it''s only 5 isn''t it.
20. I don''t think anything you, I or anyone else says (except perhaps the mediators) will make a blind bit of difference to the subject matter placed on this forum.  People will write what they want to write, fortunately or unfortunately, depending on your point of view, it''s freedom of speech.  As long as it doesn''t deteriorate into a non-footballing/NCFC forum then I''m all for it. I, for one, am also quite happy for you "foreigners" to participate as I feel it can add a little more objectivity.  Some of the "not strictly about football" threads can be both enlightening and humourous, as in the username thread, bl**dy funny.  Wouldn''t really need the story behind your handle though Andy...... Keep on posting!
21. Great, another hard man. Is that "hard" as in Brellier (not very good) or "hard" as in "going to spend most of the next 3 months suspended" ? At least he has a good pedigree but Semi has pace.......
22.
Mine is because I''m one of those sad souls who still loves the Avengers. The Emma Peel version obviously and every episode had to have a diabolical mastermind and it''s always amused me. Quite sad really. And it helps that when Diana Rigg says the line thats my signature i go weak at the knees lol
She didn''t have to say anything to make me go weak at the knees [:S] Mine''s simple, coz he''s my hero !! [&]
23. Nice one Wiz!!, Didn''t take you long did it. The end of the world is nigh [:''(] For gods sake man, it''s one defeat, a bad one I admit but no one expected us to go the rest of the season undefeated. Shame you can''t be as mature as Glenn and just take it on the chin! I expect the players are feeling a damn site worse than you right now. Backlash against Barnsley and Blackpool, that''s what I say.
24. Firstly, "Sing up...... new version", don''t worry. I, like you, have only recently started posting, and was "told off" for various breaches of forum ettiquette in the first few days.  Basically, just give as good as you get and voice your own opinion. After all, that''s what we''re here for. And ignore the sarcastic ba****ds who treat you like the new kid at school. Secondly, always take the micky out of "we8wba" as it seems to be the national sport on here.  He''s probably a very nice chap but he is a Wolves supporter [;)] Third, to get back to the point of your thread, I have to agree with Ralph. Sarcasm apart (which he generally does tongue in cheek and humourously) the Prem money should go a long way to assist in the purchase of new players.  I think the main thing I have faith in is the ability of Glenn Roeder to deal effectively in the player market.  I see no reason to doubt him judged on his record so far. And Ralph, I have a very good feeling about this afternoon. We''re long overdue a damn good win and, bad pitch or not, I think Leicester are going to get what they should have got at Carra.
