I must admit, when I first read about it I had to google it, as I never heard the phrase. Even then I thought it was funny rather than offensive.

To the tune of Baby Shark: Adam I-da-dadah, Adam I-da-dadadah, Adam-I... Score(s) a goal da-dadadah, ...

Partly that's what I think happened. Theoretically, such 2nd- 3rd wave shots also function as a safety measure inasmuch it's safer to take a shot than losing the ball in an exposed position. But this is true only as long as they force a difficult save, go wide, or even hit Row-Z, and allow time to rearrange at least. If they are easily collected, as they were, the keeper can launch swift counter-attacks from them, which Pickford usually did. That's why I think PLM should keep working on these shots, or consider picking a good pass instead, without getting on his back (too much).

I see where you're coming from, but what's the point?

Farke Turns Up In Russia.
Budapest Canary replied to TIL 1010's topic in Main Discussion - Norwich City
He's going to be in his element wearing his parka in Russia! (He probably rejected the Turkish job due to parka considerations) Best of luck to him anyway. A pre-season friendly against Krasnodar in a training camp in Austria or Carra could be an interesting fixture. -
Wet Spam - what’s the best we can expect?

I'm expecting bubbles. Pretty bubbles at best. -
Pukki to Newcastle

Why not Pukki to West Ham (on the team coach, haha)? -
Farke Turns Up In Russia.
Budapest Canary replied to TIL 1010's topic in Main Discussion - Norwich City
In terms of value the 16 team Russian Premier League equals that of the Championship (around 1bn euros) and Krasnodar (with its value of around 120 m euros) is also roughly on par with City. The difference is that Krasnodar has realistic hopes to play in some of the European cups. It's a sideways move. I agree that Pukki could terrorise the RPL. -

Norwich wins 1-0, Rashica, assisted by Pukki -
During his Champs season he was outstanding, a fans' favourite. I remember his own ("We have got Gunn, Angus in goal...) song. It's not a happy situation when one returns after a long time and concedes 8 goals in two games, but I don't think any of those were actual keeper errors, the opposition strikers were allowed too much time and space.

I saw the guy (Furuhashi) in the flesh vs. Ferencváros in the EL this season. Scored and had an assist. He looked a cool cat, with good runs, a bit like Pukki in terms of playing style.

I fully agree that our summer recruitment was flawed - at least from the point of survival in the Prem. But maybe it wasn't the idea in the first place (or having failed to secure our original targets). Tzolis, Sargent and to an extent Rashica might be expected to retain their values in a Prem setup due to their age and their involvement in their national teams better than Wolfsvinkel or Naismith did. So I see these signings as an attempt at damage limitation. Of course, it would do a lot of good if they actually scored at least a couple of goals, regardless of survival.

Placheta and Hernandez
Budapest Canary replied to Winning 25's topic in Main Discussion - Norwich City
Some players do not live up to their price tags. What is so special about that? We sold Pritchard for 12 mils, now - still at 27 - he's rated at 2,5 m and left Huddersfield for free. Tzolis and Rashica can easily become our next Wolfsvinkels. Chances are that their valuations will drop by the end of the season. -
That was not so much because of the goals we scored (39), but the ridiculous amount we conceded (67) in that season. By comparison, Stoke (9th) scored 41, Swansea (12th) 42, Watford (13th) 40, West Brom (14th) 34!, and Palace (15) 39.

Villa score predictions
Budapest Canary replied to Satriales's topic in Main Discussion - Norwich City
2-1 City. In the 84th minute, at 1-1-, Buendia collides with Cantwell. After a short treatment he carries on, but a minute later releases Pukki, with an inch-perfect through ball by mistake. Pukki scores in Pukki style. Buendia, still confused, runs to celebrate with the Yellows to the corner flag when he suddenly realises that he actually plays for Villa. How about that for drama? -
Buendia reception?
Budapest Canary replied to GJL Mid-Norfolk Canary's topic in Main Discussion - Norwich City
Having watched his last season's goals and assist countless times, I couldn't make myself booing Buendia. After all, we sold him for what was a club record, so all the best for him. Hopefully he's not going to show his best against us tomorrow.
