No longer top of the table..

Our rise to the top was meteoric and our demise inevitable. How the mighty has fallen. -

That price tag is a glimmer of hope that on City-money one day we can put together a Prem quality team. -
Do you actually want promotion?
Budapest Canary replied to The Great Mass Debater's topic in Main Discussion - Norwich City
On the basis of the club's modus operandi, we MUST go up - to come down. Of course, I hope that next time we do it right and a) we manage to make Prem quality signings (i.e. our signings turn out to be Prem quality), and b) that Milwaukee lot or someone else chips in enough money to make said signings less of a gamble. -

You as well, Brutus (Todd)? -
Talking about USA. Any chance him getting involved in the USA squad in Katar? Is it possible that his newfound form/motivation is coming from that direction?

England vs Hungary
Budapest Canary replied to Budapest Canary's topic in Main Discussion - Norwich City
Today's result might be embarrassing, but England does not need to be in top form now, and NL means nothing in terms of the World Cup. I'd stick with Southgate at least for the remaining two NL games. -
England vs Hungary

Sorry guys. Apart from the first 10 minutes, England were dull, but you still have to give some credit to Hungary. I watched our match vs Germany in Puskas on Saturday and we weren't far from winning it, it was definitely not an undeserved draw. I have the feeling Pickford would have saved some of the goals, as most of them were close. I'm afraid Sallai is not a realistic target, or those who play in mid-table Bundesliga teams or above (Willi Orban, Szoboszlai - Leipzig, Schafer - Union Berlin). Martin Ádám (the big bearded guy who came on as a sub and had two assists) would love to play in the Champs, actually, he said so, (and I can easily see him being a Holt Mk2) but does not have the required points. Shame, as his price tag would be about 1-2m euros. Probably the same goes to LB Zsolt Nagy (who scored the 3rd goal). What did you think about Styles? -

0-1, with no possession. I still think England wins this. -

Molineux is about forty minutes from St. George's Park. Convenient. -

I don't think there was a quota, the Hungary vs England match started two hours earlier, i.e. at a kid-friendly time. -
Free Pukki printing - what does it mean?!
Budapest Canary replied to SwearyCanary's topic in Main Discussion - Norwich City
Free Pukki is the working title of the planned new episode in the Free Willy series. It will be about Pukki, the beluga whale, who gets captured around the coasts of Finland and taken to Yarmouth SeaLife. He is freed by Finnish kids led by a fearless animnal activist (Pukki), who as I read, will play several roles. -

Martin Adam (and Szalai) are a Holt type ofplayers. He scored 33 goals this season, which is quite a lot of goals even if scored in the Hungarian league, especially since his team, Paks, is one of the small clubs in the league. Here's one of his goals vs. Ferencváros.
