We are not good enough for the EPL but at least we have something to cheer after the awful 1st half of the season where some of the worst football I have ever seen us produce was on view. I can't see DW being in charge next season and the prep is already starting behind the scenes I reckon. At least the play offs will be over before the transfer window opens so we shouldn't be behind other clubs when it comes to making signings. I reckon MA will step up and Knapper will be given the freedom to implement his vision.

If Wagner said that he warned about the squad being too thin is he now not preparing us to fail ? Surely if BK had said that he wants more youth involved and wagner is ignoring them as well as SVH then he is inviting dismissal whatever way this season pans out. BK may well be using this period to suss out Wagners policy on using younger players and he is failing miserably on that front. The other night was a casing point. Aboh or SVH on for Sarge would have been what 99 % of managers would have done but for his own stubbornness Wagner didn't. Could have kept Barnes at 10 and let either put themselves about but he didn’t

The rules to book a player for diving have been around for ages. The fact refs don't is another story. They are allowing players to cheat yet book someone for taking their shirt off celebrating a goal. Until refs grow a pair nothing will change

Absolutely this. Can I add that they really need to get rid of the yellow card for taking your shirt off after you have scored. Surely part of the celebration and for a young player in circumstances like that the referee should give the red a miss. Isn't it entertainment?

In the probale absence of Sainz together with Rowe and Onel who if anyone can step up. I can only think that Macullum or Fisher would do the job or are there some pickings from the u21s. Not the be all and end all that everyone says it is. A win or a draw would be great but it won't be over with a loss. Boro are not in great form so I would expect at least a point. I think in current form we will just have a bit too much for them.

I think those 3 could be our future. If BK truly wants to lower the squad age that is. Out on loan, gain experience and come back better for it.

Knapper wants to lower age of squad 2024/25 Gunn Ansen Mair Fisher Warner Hills Tompkinson Macullum Gibbs Rowe Kamara Aboh Forsyth Tzolis Sainz Etc etc. Add a little bit of experience in there and I would say we already have the basis of a great young squad. Just need the right man to get them going

The young kid Maiwoo at Man Utd has come into their team and made an impact. Nobody outside of them had heard of him before. Surely we have prospects who we should promote. I read about young defensive midfielders I the u21 squad as well as Aboh and young Myles who is just about to turn 17 looks the real deal. Good enough then old enough. Not enough teams look at their youth nowadays. Made a comment to a Sunderland fan yesterday. What is the use of academies if they aren't producing, not to sell but to play at a higher level
