1. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=KnW7HJjxdaITo emphasise the point I made earlier, see how often he takes up that position behind the striker, doesn''t get picked up, then bursts forward at the right time. A lot of his 1 on 1s aren''t made from running off the shoulder, they''re made by running from deep. Also I would have to say that while you can never ever judge from these videos, he does look excellent in it. Passing, awareness, and instant finishing.Don''t believe we''re in for him until there''s something more solid though
2. I haven''t checked so I may be wrong but aren''t Hooper''s and Vydra''s records at the championship pretty similar, both low 20s during the only season there?I''m not sure who''s better but Vydra excites me a bit more because of his age, and his style of play - when I watched him I was shocked at just how good an all round player he was. Fantastic runs, passing, coming deep to collect the ball when it was the right time.
3. This thread needs a youtube video... http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=JOXmo1Y6Abc
4. I''m not privy to the information myself but 1 or 2 reliable folk from the Wrath of the Barclay said they believe Defoe was all lined up last year only for the player to change his mind on deadline day (thus ending up with Kane, and Hughton talking about signings falling through, or whatever it was he said)
5. I know there''s been a few quotes from the people at PSV saying we''ve offered, etc, but I''m not sure we''ve seen this yet? Definite permission to speak to Olahttp://www.tribalfootball.com/articles/psv-grant-norwich-permission-toivonen-talks-3963141?utm_source=main_feed#.UbnD1-svtyp
6. Regarding long balls - we do hit a fair amount of long balls at 64 per game, but then so do Swansea with 62. We''re only behind Newcastle, Fulham and Everton in that respect. It''s a marked improvement on the previous season under Lambert when we were by FAR the hoof ball team of the league with a massive 75 per game
7.
Hooper''s record in lower league football is impressive, but noticeably not more impressive than Simeon Jackson''s. Of course statistics don''t tell the whole truth, but I reckon we dodged a huge bullet with Hooper in January, I hope we don''t go back for more.
Well....his record in the Championship IS considerably better than Jacksons, 20 goals in 30 odd starts
8. 6 teams sacked their managers during the season - Chelsea, QPR, Southampton, Reading, Aston Villa and Man City.Chelsea got loads more points than us, obviously. Southampton got 1 more point (that being their renaissance and our bad spell). The others, QPR, Reading, Villa and Man City all obviously did worse.
9. How about testing their resolve with Barnett and £1million
10. I believe we have the quality to stay up. Can we stop the rot and find some belief? Between now and the end of the season, I believe we can, and we''ll get the points we need to stay up/
11.

There will be no new signings, I saw through the con from day 1, transparent it was.
You kicked off big time in the summer because people had a go at you for being a miserable bar steward.  "I''ve changed my ways blah blah blah" was your cry. A leopard never changes his spots Wiz, your life must be truly miserable if you''re anything like as tedious, pessimistic, irritating and devoid of any kind of hope as you are on here.  Seriously, give it a rest instead of your incessant attention seeking doom mongering. Not only is it boring, it''s also an incredibly childish outlook. You sound like a "depressed" 13 yr old emo kid.
I just speak the truth as I see it.........with an added touch of realisim...........if you can''t handle that bypass my threads.
You speak bullshit, as evidenced by the summer when you went on about how the "biggest ever transfer" budget was a lie. Well it turned out to be true.As for this window, there''s no con. The club have not promised any signings, and we may not get any. No con.
12.
With the match so close to the end of the window (What idiot schedules these!?) any business not concluded today will be left to the over inflated of Thursday... if 12m for RVW is true this could see the price hiked up to nearly 20m.Act Now City!
I agree we should act now before someone else comes in and gets him, which is, I suspect what they''re trying to do. But don''t forget agents etc are likely to be pushing the opposite way, leaving the door open for as many clubs to offer something as possible to get as much money as they can. If that''s the game our targets are playing, we can''t force them to sign.Regarding the transfer fees, I suspect Sporting would actually be forced to accept less if it came to deadline day, rather than the fee being pushed up, due to their financial position. They need to sell someone.
13. The Moose on talksport has linked us with another player. Probably rubbish, like most his rumours, but it made me think. He''s played most his football in League 1, so would need to make a decent step up, and he''s not particularly young, mid twenties. But he''s done well at his last few clubs, and having played as a striker for a while has recently converted to Left Winger, a position we could well do with some competition in. At his current club he''s kept up a decent scoring record from the left, while also putting in a great number of assists (double figures in both in a season).Goes by the name of Dean Bowditch. Now I don''t think he''s got the quality to step up 2 divisions, as, while the form is impressive, it''s not setting the whole league alight. I''m sure it''s rubbish. But if he was looking brilliant - would you accept an ex Ipswich player?
14. I can''t believe people would be unhappy with Becchio. He wouldn''t be here to play, it would be just for the sake of annoying Leeds fans at buying their last hero. A truly worthy cause.
15.
Great so Hughton has said we will likely leave it to the last few hours of the window AGAIN. Last time we done that we got Kane.God sake does he not learn!!!! JUST PAY WHAT WE NEED TO AND GET SOME BLOODY PLAYERS IN!!!!!
No, he didn''t learn, he clearly is doing this as a deliberate strategy as he feels leaving it to the end of the window is the best way to get players in.I reckon the board are jumping at the bit to sign Ricky Van Dogsbollocks, but Hughton is urging them not to, hoping that Luke Varney might be available on loan come 10pm Thursday.
16.
Hooper - shopping in Debenhams. RVW - shopping in Harrods.
Perhaps, but as Budapest Canary pointed out above, perhaps it''s better buying the best Debenhams has to offer rather than something ineffective (recent scoring record) at Harrods
17.  I''d probably rate them as similar in quality, so for the prices being banded about it would have to be Hooper.
18. Nae Chance. That way, I''ll be HUGELY pleasantly surprised if we pull this coup off.
19. Think you (and your logic) are fighting a losing on this forum Alan_Grey
20.
After reading the celtic forum, it seems as though they actually think they are big club, as they play in the Champions League (due to being top of the League 1 table). Although they''ve been awfully lucky in the CL, you''ve got to give them credit, they''ve made it to the last 16. Secondly it''s clear from reading that site they don''t seem too impressed that he''s coming to Norwich and should be going to a team like ''Everton or Spurs''.   I actually think we''ll get him, whether its in this window or the next
hang on a minute...they are a big club. They are a very big club! That''s not to say Hooper won''t leave to play Premier League opposition every week and prove himself at that level.
21.
I love the underlying assumption behind much of what is said that City lie and Lennon tells the truth.  Of course they do.  If Lennon says our bid was this much he must be right.  After all, what motive would he have for stirring things up? He is such an innocent and has never been accused by anyone of stirring any kind of mischief or trouble.   I struggle to understand why so many alleged fans hate this club so much that they will belief and repeat anything that is said about City so long as it''s bad.   One day we may know the truth.  we certainly don''t at the moment.  We should treat everyone involved who has an interest and an agenda with some scrutiny and scepticism
I don''t understand your point. No one has said Norwich have lied, and believing that the bid is under £6million because Lennon says it is doesn''t reflect badly on Norwich at all.
22. Didn''t Elliot Bennett say he was the best player in terms of technique at the club in his opinion?
