1. One thing we have learn''t from the past couple of seasons is we need to ahve strength in depth. I will wait until we have some players are signed on our books to form my opinion on how well i think we will do. But I am more positive than previous seasons, It''s good to see we are looking at all posibilities and which playres will suit the club first before we sign them.
 2.
. I would have preferred not bothering with tudor jones & gill and used there wages for clingans new contract. I know there is no suggestion he would sign, but the guy strikes me as being pretty loyal from the couple of interviews ive heard from him this summer ( good one in four four two mag where he cleary states hes willing to stay ) and he has already been assured of his international place by worthy.
I wouldn''t be surprised if Gunny has tried to get him to sign a contract, but Clingan has done his League 1 stint so its fair if he wants to move on to a championship team. I just hope we cash in on him and get a decent amount and don''t give in to a reduced price cause we need the money. Which 442 edition was the interview in?
 3. I reckon there could be a few announcements before the first Scotland game, both in and out.
 4. [:P]
If we are only asking 700k for Sammy then we should pack up now!!! Sorry but imo we should get at least double that,Fulham wanted to pay £3 million in January according to Sky and the papers,£1.5 million for Sammy and £700k for Russell and i''d be happy, and we should then spend it on goal scorers!!!! Why do we always sell on the cheap?!?!?!?!?!
700k for Russell, what are you on? We have sold out too often, however i think we seem to be sticking on deals a lot more this season, until it is good for us. Previsouly we would of just agreed to what Derby and Palace want for thier players.
 5.
It was a meaningless friendly - Spillane in central midfield should tell you that!  Absolutely no point in reading anything into it.
I thought he played very well there, looked to push fowards and link up with the strikers
 6.
Wow, I worked at Dunston Hall today in the C & B department, sadly enough Norwich players are classed as VIP''s inside of Dunston Hall, in which we would have been noted of their pressence.   As much of it is a shame, due to Russel being crap, I can safely say Clingan was not at Dunston Hall today.
Was he there yesterday though, as that is when he says he spoke to Sammy
 7.
He has a point though... Jamie scored lots and lots of goals for Colchester in league one. The amount of chances (a lot of easy ones too) he had and missed last season meant his status as CHAMPIONSHIP striker wasn''t too great... maybe in a league he used to scoring lots of goals in he will feel a bit more comfortable...
He was top scorer in his first season with Colchester in the Championship, i don''t think it is the league, it''s who he plays upfront with and the formation/tactics
 8. Well from where i was standing (right behind the goal, right hand corner), looked to me as if the keeper left it. Like i said it was a good goal, nice vision, I wouldn''t go as far as esquisate though. Jamie did his job, so I am happy with that. However I am still unsure as to what he will do for us this season. I was a lot more impressed with the Luton 2.
 9. The keeper was unlucky not to get ot the rebound before Jamie, was a poor penalty! Second goal was a lot better but if the keeper knew where his cross bar is then he wouldn''t have left it.
 10. He clearly has a Jekyll and Hyde to him, the cross field ball to Martin was done with pinpoint accuracy but then his first shot was awful. I fell it is probably the same with his fitness, when he was warming up he was happy to run half the way and wait for someone to jog back with.
 11.
Just back from game, a good run out and a nice little ground. A little excited about this Serbian prospect but not at the thought of McVeigh joining us, he reminded me of Molby without the skill! Very rotund!
Agreed a really nice set-up, McVeigh wasn''t the only one though, Matty and the trialist Nielson look a little round.
 12. Just got back from the game, really nice ground and decent fans. Thought Spillane had a really good game, played well in midfield and looked to get forwards any every chance. Martin has progressed, got a bit taller as well. With the guy on trial Nielson, i feel it is a choice between him and McVeigh for a contract as both play similar roles. Neilson did nothing first half apart from the well taken goal, he likes to cut in a lot as well.
 13.
pete - who got the 3rd?
McVeigh
 14. Nope, not worried at all. This game is clearly about seeing the youngsters and trialists play as well as maybe how well he can captain. Tomorrow will be the interesting game, which i can''t wait to see.
 15.
Once upon a time we had all out top players poached by top flight clubs , now our star player is Clingan , signed on a free and now up for sale and not even attracting any interest from the better Championship clubs. As has been said in terms of crowd size we could be Premiership , in terms of playing staff we look mid table League 1 , in terms of the owners we look Sunday league.
The bold bit isn''t true
 16. Oh please no! If this happened my positive outlook for this season would disappear and I could take a Loan City view on Norwich.
 17.
Who gives a toss about Ipswich Town?? I don''t care one bit who their manager is, how much he has to spend, who he spends it on or even if they get promoted or religated. My only care is who Nowrich sign and how NORWICH do next season. Thats the point of being a Norwich fan is it not?
Yeah but you can also be a FOOTBALL fan, I certainly like watching MOTD and the rest of ''the championship'' as well as us. Being that Ipswich are the local rivals you are always going to compare and talk about the club. Especially with the state we are in relation to them and the money that they are throwing about and backing their manager.
 18.

Stop pissing about and pay the money for Dickinson or Lee cus otherwise teams with more money will snatch him before we make our move.
we have signed 4 players on free transfers.... there is no money..... jas :)
And you expected us to sign 5/6 players all with transfer fee''s on top of signing fee etc We clearly have money for 1/2 players atm, more if Sammy leaves.
 19. He plays for Carlisle at the mo, ex Bolton. Big strong CB who likes to get forwards Ferdinand esq
 20.
Simeon is top quality and will rip L1 to bits. I am amazed a championship club hasn''t come in for him.
Agree but got to be near 1 mil asking price, I mentioned jackson about a week ago he would be superb for us, but his perofrmance in the cup against villa/fulham? brought a lot of attention to him. Couple of others i think we should look at are Albert Adomah, quality young right winger currently at Barnet, able to play with both feet and has a great knack at finding the player whenever he crosses as well as Danny Livesey replacing Dejan as his wages must be high.
 21. I don''t remeber people saying that about Iwan before he signed, when he wasn''t play well in parts of his first season yeah but i must have missed the rest. I would rather we had Sadik and Lee but unless we have hidden wealth somewhere i can see us having chepest option and Platt wearing yellow [:''(]
 22.

curo should go for the sake of his own career as well as martin and mcdonald''s... we need four forwards... two up and coming players alongside two more mature big strikers. In my mind that is Lee/Platt and then Dickinson... Just have a feeling Dickinson is coming to the Canaries. If Norwich signed say Platt and Dickinson and played one up with eith Cody or Martin I would be optimistic about this season... I am not a betting man but I would even consider putting a bet on... :-) This team would be ideal...                            Theoklitos Spillane        Doherty           Stefanovic   Drury Small          Tudor-Jones   Clingan        Hoolahan                     Dickinson         Martin subs, Rudd, Nelson, Platt, McDonald, Gill, Smith, Otsemobor (if Clingan goes... Gill in for him and Russell/Pattison/Adeyemi on the bench depending who is still here) I think OTJ will cost us depending on promotion and appearances... I don''t think it was 250K outright.
Platt is utter f**king dogsh*t and if we sign him then it is a very sad day for our football club IMHO.
It''s so try, Platt is certainly not our striking answer. I rang a Col U friend of mine and he just laughed down the phone, even offered a straight swap for Curo as he thinks he is better. [:''(]
 23.
The Ivy Leaf is pretty decent and is probably the closest to the ground. And of course there is a bar in the ground itself but could get pretty packed.
I got told today to buy my ticket at the gate on the day, any idea if i need to turn upp earlish or will there be enough left? Also how much parking is there nearby? Cheers
