Very pleased that the Board has acted at last but what terrible timing. Just a few hours after the pre-match press session. Makes you wonder what has been going on ''in the background''. Let''s just hope that we can all move forward now and rebuild without long term damage.

I almost expected he would be gone today

Replace Neil with who...?
Les replied to I am a Banana (All Grown Up)'s topic in Main Discussion - Norwich City
Something not many people have thought of is the pre-game preparation of our players. At the end of the day, Neil can only see what is going on in training all week. Week after week we are screwed over by momentary lapses in judgment/concentration by individual players (i.e Murphy not marking the Danish dude) that obviously don''t get revealed in training. Maybe there needs to be a hard look at how our players prepare (mentally and physically) before games during the times they are not at Colney.Surely this is his job to prepare the players and sort out out all these mistakes. As I''ve said before on here, he should have gone at the end of October 2015.Warburton in for me please. -

Why do we so often lose to *** teams ??
Les replied to K Lo's topic in Main Discussion - Norwich City
So Morty thinks Lafferty is a turd, well the manager must be an even bigger turd for: Having him in the squad Not bringing him on earlier Not selecting someone else in his place if deemed a turd Overseeing a gradual demise since August 2015. -
Out for me, preferably by Friday. Should have gone at the end of October 2015. The man is a joke, should be done under trades description act! Warburton in Monday morning. OTBC.

Why do we so often lose to *** teams ??
Les replied to K Lo's topic in Main Discussion - Norwich City
Yeaterday we spent quite a bit of the game launching high balls up and over to Jerome, without a great deal of success due to close marking by the Burton defender. Why, after going 2-1 down didn''t we bring Lafferty on so that we had 2 big front men, I''m sure they would have been knock downs for one or other to feed off, but no, we wait until 85th minute before bringing Laffs on.I know fans will say Laffs isn''t the answer, but with 2 up front we could have had a bit more luck and worried there defence a bit more.Simplistic I know, but nothing else was working. -
Why do we so often lose to *** teams ??
Les replied to K Lo's topic in Main Discussion - Norwich City
The reasons are many fold.Basically we''re not good enough, nor consistent enough. An ageing squad, resulting in poorer fitness than some other teams.I believe there are some big egos as well. There seems to be a lack of togetherness amongst the players and an inept manger doesn''t help. I was at the game yesterday, thanks to some corporate hospitality from Burtons sponsors, Pirelli tyres. After the game myself and work colleague stood by the team bus as the players wandered out, looking very glum and sheepish. We were surprised that about 50% of the players collected there bags etc from the bus and wandered off to the carpark andappeared to head off to the four corners of the country, no sticking together on the bus for the journey home etc.All came across as rather strange, no real team spirit as I''ve seen in the past.I gave up waiting for the manager to appear, I wanted to ask some questions about where do we go from here? Was also noticeable that a suitcase with the words ''Neil'' stamped on it, was also left on the pathway, presumably awaiting collection. If anybody from Burton FC is reading this, can I say well done, great club, fans and facilities, apart from the result we had a very good day out, thank you. Hope you stay up this season. -
