  1. He took us through the playoffs On Friday he was laid off With two years worth of payoff, The Alex family
  2. To keep fighting and get a point after going behind with ten men does show that the squad unity and spirit isn''t entirely broken, and that is a crumb of comfort amongst the nonsense.
  3. Quite. The primary objective is to win the game, not to provide elegant entertainment. You are more likely to hold out with a full complement of defenders, and so an attacking midfielder must be sacrificed.
  4. Fitness and defensive discipline? The fans would be booing and moaning on here about a lack of entertainment.
  5. Perfectly reasonable substitution, after utter stupidity from Dijks. Fans booing are morons.
  6. Rowett has never spent big money or reshaped a squad. Too risky. They will go for experience. Why is this so hard to understand, people?
  7. 2169 is when the dead rise again and the rivers run backwards. The Summer Transfer Window thread has this nailed. Board accept we cannot achieve promotion Board do not trust AN to overhaul the squad Board want experienced man to do the overhaul All woads lead to Woy.
  8. Use a 1998-compatible browser and its all good. Don''t despair, Archant are upgrading the software soon. ((Dies laughing))
  9. Led us on a run of P25 W17 D4 L4 when winning the playoff final. Great first impression at Bournemouth when our 10 men beat them away from home. Gave us a great day at Wembley and a great performance where we suffocated Middlesbrough brilliantly. I''m done.
  10. Read the Summer Transfer Window thread and join the dots.
  11. "The board has taken the tough but unanimous decision, believing it is in the best interests of the club for a new manager to be in place through a crucial summer transfer window." This sounds like a dismantling and reassembling is required, and the conclusion must be they didn''t think AN was up to the job, or part of the problem. Interesting times ahead, as presumably the other implication is we are bringing in an experienced manager who knows how to reshape a squad. This is no time for a rookie, as a president once said. So again, money on Hodgson. My Xmas gift to you all.
  12. Tasty payoff too if that extension story is all true. He can have the summer off to chillax and then go back to Hamilton.
  13. I prefer him gone than still here. As the saying goes, better late than never.
  14. Neil''s end has just come prematurely, so perhaps we will get someone who can grind out results at both ends of the table.
  15. The board are going nowhere and in Nephew Tom they have the lineage secured. Nothing will change regardless of any huffing and puffing by the great unwashed tomorrow. Without a credible alternative, the dynasty is locked in. Maybe time to stop behaving like spoiled children, drop the pout, stop stamping your feet, and support the team.
  16. Not like you to find a miserable spin to put on good news. Maybe you should wear a hat to keep your brain warmer.
  17. Waveney, be a good fellow and go and bother the pie stall until this has died down.
  18. I would love someone to tell me how anyone can "sack the board".
