1. I should imagine all that happens is the BBC do their own version of "The Championship" which will be just as naff. There are too many games to cover them in any detail, and too little interest. I imagine fans of most football league clubs watch Match of the Day, but how many people will actually watch highlights of the lower leagues? Most will watch just the 10 seconds of their club and switch over, sad but true.
2.  The Easton Estate is highly regarded for shooting, so that is the "sporting" connection. From what I have heard the buyer is Danish, not a mega rich Sultan.
3. Man U didn''t lose their sponsorship from AIG and I don''t think the relatively paltry sum 270m is that worrying to Aviva, especially as they will see a large chuck of that back when Lehman Bro''s assets are all bought up.
4. Having played in the Premiership and being of quality to play in the Premiership are different things. Ched Evans has never played a game in the Premiership (to my knowledge) yet I would certainly regard him as an "in-betweenie"Going through your list I would argue:-1-John Kennedy - Scottish international before injury, man-of-the-match against Barcelona for Celtic suggest a player of a certain quality. Yes he has been injured, but he isn''t injured now, and is on loan so if his knee does buckle again he can be on the next plane to Celtic2-Clingan - he has played really well for us so far, is highly regarded in N.Ireland. May or may not be an "inbetweenie" but a free transfer so not much risk really.3-Wes - Come on! He is a great player at this level and could probably cut it at lower Prem level.4-David Bell - I''m with you on this one, could be good, could not, looking forward to seeing him play5- The young players being Bertrand, Omouzi and Troy thingy thingy. Troy is an unknown again but is back up to the back up so probably won''t get a lot of game time. Have you seen Bertie play? A really classy player and I stake my reputation on him playing for England one day, Chelsea have said he is not for sale, under any circumstance, and will replace A Cole in a couple of years. Omouzi playes 10(ish) games for Fulham last year, and is highly rated by a lot of people, has looked good so far (although not at centre-back)6- Lupoli is a Itay under 21 international, and was regarded by Wenger as one of the most gifted players he has ever had at Arsenal, was a smash hit at Derby (who played him on the left wing for some reason). His contract expired at Arsenal and he wanted to return to Italy, and was offered contracts by AC and Inter Milan, but turned them down for a 5 year contract at Florentina, was at loan at Treviso and they tried (unsuccessfully to buy him), we are lucky to have him.7 - OJ is untried, but has explosive pace (something we lack up front) and could be a revelation, or might flop, who knows. Remember the other "unknown" Redknapp signed from Africa? He bought Yakubu for Pompy in their promotion season, and he turned out alright. Would you moan if we signed him because "he hasn''t played in the Championship"Roeder has brought in some great young players, some are a risk, but risks are worth taking sometimes.
5. You obviously never saw "Phoneix From the Flames" on Fantasy Football which this feature is "borrowed" from. The singing at the beginning of that was probably worse than the Pink''un''s efforts, and Baddiel and Skinner went on to get a number 1 hit single I seem to remember.
6. The most interesting thing about the interview was how much he laid into Croft, who may of deserved it.Made comments like he will be lucky to play next game etc. and although he didn''t directly mention Lee''s name, it was fairly obvious who he was talking about.
7.
Lupoli sounds Sh*t.... Kroma sounds good..we need to spend big money though.... jas :)
What are you on?? Lupoli was pulling the strings in the first half and just lacks a bit of match fitness.OJ sounded decent, quick but often offside.Holahan sounded brilliant, despite the result a lot of positives from this game. Don''t let grumpy Neil Adams get you down. With his classic comment, "not enough shots. Lupoli, OJ, Holahan and Croft had shots and thats just the second half, but not enough shots" What is that man on?
8. Sounds like Curo is playing quite well. Didn''t expect that tbh.
9.
Right so wheres Semmy then. One of our best players from last season, the quickest player in the league and where is he, not even on the bench and dropped for Zusi cause Hodgson wouldnt let him come on loan unless he played every game. Did you see Colchester''s second goal? Abysmal defending from Omozusi. Kennedy, Dejan and Shacks held a great offside back line, the U''s strikers were ahead and both in offside positions, and what does Omozusi do? Comes from the halfway line runs straight past the back line of Ken, Dej and Shacks, beyond the U''s strikers, totally undoing the good offside line the Norwich ''defenders'' were holding, played both U''s strikers onside and they very easily had a one on one with Marshall and its 2-2. This was abysmal and anyone at the game saturday would have seen Fozzy rip into him straight away, with Omozusi waving his arms around protesting his innocence. The replay on Canaries World was painful to watch. I fear for our defence today if he starts, which he is. Its obvious he hasnt impressed me, lets hope he proves me wrong today.
With Croft playing Roder obviously wants someone a little more defensively minded than Semmy.Elliott is no slouch and impressed most pundits last year with his appearances for Fulham.I would start listing Semmy''s defensive mistakes, but we might be here all day. I doubt we have seen the last of him, but he will at least have some competition unlike last year.
10.

permanent striker (big) by at least last week etc... and also we r going to have a team full of defenders soon
Roeder never "promised" a permanent striker by at least last week.He said he hoped to have one "in 7 to 14 days" after the Spurs game, which takes us into next week, but no "promise" was made.Transfers involve two clubs,a player and an agent,so they take time.I have no doubt that he''s doing everything he can to finalise something and he implied yesterday that he had hoped to get someone by today, but the other club had "moved the goalposts".Just be patient!
yeah, but after the colchester game he said we''d have a striker here in next 48 hours - cud b wrong on that though??? anyone know for defo???
He did, and we got OJThat may have been 72 hours after the Colchester game though, not sure.
11. Well, he said one would be off on loan, but got the club wrong. And it''s not as if a lot of people weren''t saying the same before anyway. So maybe, just maybe he was lying? Or at least guessing.
12.

we all know a solicitor who could help, neil "donny" doncaster
aha.. but its club Business! and when has the club ever been truthful about its business? jas :)
Are you saying that everything they''ve ever told us about its business is a lie?
lol not everything.. but if u have been following the threads this week you will know that KB Said that 2 players were going on loan to Luton.. tjhe Club then denied this conversation ever took place with Roeder.. only for the 2 players to materialise at Luton 24 hours later... funny that isnt it? jas :)
I seem to remember he actually said Martin would be off on loan to Peterborough....... But whatever, want are facts between friends?
13. ItwWould be amazing if we got Lupoli!! Once talk about as the next big thing, but not quite lived upto that level of expectation. He is still an amazing player, would probably be the most technically gifted player to ever play for Norwich if we signed him, yes even better than Hucks. His one failing has always been his size, Wenger considered him to slight to play in England and he certainly wouldn''t header the ball much.Sign him up! On loan or not, just get him!
14. The stadium, colney and the nice chunk of development land Norwich city own are going to be worth substantially more than 18m don''t worry about that. When you add things like a successful catering business making over 500k a year and the revenue generated by the hotel then Norwich City are in a fairly comfortable position. This is why it was difficult for PC to buy out the shares for the cheap price he wanted.
15. It''s true, Gorleston will be very tough to beat. We will need at least 3 world class players in before that game - and we can only pray they gel.Or is it just a friendly? Against an amateur club? And does the result really matter? The season is drawing in, but it''s a marathon not a sprint and the whole "needing time to gel" argument is just a cliche, like "you''ll win nothing with kids".Man City changed more than half their squad and flew up the league last year, the problems came when they started to gel.
16. Would be a great signing!!Would be able to lead the line and add some much needed experience.(Ah it''s nice to be talking about rumours and signings again)
17. I think you are totally right, from what is being said it now appears Cullum did want something for nothing. I know everyone will come out with the "you don''t trust Doncaster do you?" reply. But on the face of it I do!If he was lying I''m pretty sure Cullum would be rushing out and saying so, not like he has been media shy over the last couple of weeks is it?It was nice to hope over the past couple of weeks, but it''s gone for now and we need to concentrate on the season ahead. Hopefully Cullum can "scrape" together the money he needs to pay off the debt, or actually work out an agreement with the money lenders to let him continue the loan. Our situation now is no different to what it was 2 months ago, and there was certainly less talk of slipping into League 1 then. (Although the glass half full guys were banging on about it)
18. "I am very sorry you see it that way Jim. I was not aware that I had slagged off everybody and everything, and I am sure if you read my other posts that you would see that I had not (unless you mean our current board). The reason for the outburst to this poster was that I don''t like being spoken to patronising way and also try reading some of his posts today having a real pop at anyone who speaks against the board or Delia, some of the said posts in a totaly over the top manner. I treat people the way they treat me"Sorry if you felt angered by my post, but I felt your initial statement was rather foolish and cheap dig at the current board, for no good reason.I wouldn''t say I have made any "totally over the top posts" and find this a little rich coming from yourself. And if I had a pop at everyone speaking out against Delia, I would be forever "popping".
19. I''m pretty sure if Cullum had come up with a decent offer over the last couple of weeks, he could be in the process of taking over right now.I really do that it can all be worked out with Delia, but it will all have to wait until Christmas at least, more likely next summer.Although if Cullum was extra lovely he could give a little 5 million "sorry for all the trouble I''ve caused and time I''ve wasted" present for Glenn to unwrap after the long drive back from Devon. It''s a great shame the pre-RNS positivity has melted away, and the takeover uncertainy has used up so much of the pre-season.
20. And if Peter Cullum was a fan of this club, he would pay a fair price for it. You can''t get something for nothing.I would love to see Cullum and Delia strike a deal and the club have a competitive budget, but the offer Cullum is making is just laughable, and I blame him much more than Delia for all this going pear shaped. The talks are over for now, maybe Cullum will go away and realise he needs to put his money where his mouth is. When/if he does I shall be as happy as anyone else, but for now we have Delia and co, who have done pretty well under a limited budget. Not great, but alright.Much more pressing than all this is the need for Norwich to get in 7 or 8 players, and now hopefully Roeder and Doncaster can get this done.
21. Wow, just wow.Everyone''s true age is really showing. What do you expect to achieve, apart from looking like a right bunch of idiots??Delia to suddenly change her mind and give away the club she is a huge fan of away for nothing??Seriously people, get a life.
22. At least some people on this message board can still see sence.Cullum has made a cheeky bid, using the media and the disappointment of the fans from a poor season. But Delia et al, haven''t appeared that welcoming, although neither would I have been if someone was causing so much trouble for me.If Cullum wants Norwich then he will have to pay a fair price for it, not offer an insulting price and use the venom of angry fans to help push through his deal.I doubt we will ever get the full details of what happened, but for now all I care about is signing a striker and a defender! Welcome back from Devon Glenn, hope you have your tin hat and body armour ready for the war zone you are returning to on the Colney front.
23. I really hope Delia doesn''t sign anyone, I''d much rather leave that to Glenn Roeder.I think you are getting the roles of board members and manager confused...Maybe a little time growing up will help you
24. I agree with you Budapest Canary. So many are very quick to judge that this is all the current boards fault and it couldn''t possibly be Cullum making an unrealistic offer for the club. PC hasn''t been afraid of spouting off in the media lately, so let''s hear what he has to say and how he can work the fans up into more of a frenzy. At least we now know what the situation is for the rest of the pre-season and Glenn can get on and sign some players. Hopefully Cullum will come back with an improved offer later in the year.
