1. i think one of his best games was against millwall at home last christmas as a make shift centreback.. he certainly didn''t look out of place [:D]
 2.

Evil Monkey you and others miss the point, life is about priorities, so if you opt out of going to football its your decision alone.  For the record I quite admire people you saved their pennies and scraped together enough wonga to go, that''s life.  Your right  to blame Murdoch, I would add greedy players and agents to that.  What choice does Norwich have but to put the prices up.  I support the club on this issue becase that gives us a chance to progress as a club at long last - after years of Chase, Delia and Doncaster with their ''little Norwich mentality.
okay keith on a serious note and putting my own tragic circumstances aside .. how will putting up the prices help the club progress if people start thinking they can''t or won''t afford it and decide not to go ? as it seems quite a few people did yesterday..i''ve heard it said others will simply take there place but if thats the case where were they yesterday ?  3000 short of capacity ? i would say it is a fact that norwich enjoy good attendances despite some utter dross on the pitch because the pricing has been  reasonable.  take that away and we become like every other club our size with lots of empty seats.. the best way for the club to ride out the recession is to keep prices reasonable or all they will do is alienate the fans of today and the future and all the good will they have built up will go out of the window and we''ll end up like ipswich at best and coventry middlesboro at worst [:D]
I really dont mean to be contraversial but as I have said on other threads, put aside people coming to watch when we are top of the league and away supporters, there are now more Norwich fans watching Norwich than ever. Something does not add up. There are lots of people saying they are boycotting games but the gates on a like for like basis over the last few seasons are up. The extra seats were put in after pressure from fans claiming that 35000 would be attending. Without those extra seats and the away following of Colchester our first 2 games would have sold out. It is pointless selling out the ground at reduced prices for the same income as one sell out will net us an additional £112500 extra at an average price £25. 5 sell outs in the season will net us nearly £600000 more than selling out the ground cheaply. I also come back to my other point that our season tickets are far to cheap especially for kids. Norwich are providing cheap football to the local community. I could only afford 9 games per year without our season tickets, but for the same price as those nine games we get 23 games. You could have bought a childs season ticket for as little as £35.67. Use it seven times in the season thats £5 per game. I really am not meaning to be contraversial but the time to complain was when Doncaster was providing ridiculosly low prices to fill the ground. 20500 people receive very cheap football at Carrow Road the rest have to pay roughly the same as other clubs. As previous posters have said blame the premier league and Sky for demanding the worlds best play in English football and unfortunately then distribute the money the money almost exclusively to the upper teir of football. I am sure where ever you work if your wages and the others employed in the company increased the cost of whatever you are selling has to increase to cover those increased wages.
yes and pretty soon  we would not be selling so much of it because people would not be happy about paying the increase [:D]

 4.
i will save my sympathy - hope you enjoy your holiday - hope you get a good kids deal or I pity the holiday forums!
i hope so too money doesn''t grow on trees you know [;)]
 5.
I am sorry about your kids, but why must you tell the world and his wife about your lack of finances, its your problem not mine.  Save money or maybe you could have shared a season ticket to lessen the cost, instead you harp on like a tired old record.
if your referring to me ? then save your sympathy i probably earn more than you but i''m not paying £20 for a kids ticket because its morally wrong ..i would rather put it towards next years holiday in the sun  [;)]
 6.
Sorry but enough is enough. The football is a business not a charity. Some people really must grow some balls. Why must people air their dirty washing in public? If pennywise and others can''t afford football - then sorry, but that''s life. Tough basically, I''m not interested in pathetic sob stories. Eat at home, cut out the programme, replica shirt and that extra beers and there you have it money saved - but for most of you that is too easy, so instead some of you harp on like your living in abject poverty, bleating for sympathy, basically I find it quite tiresome. My advice is watch the pennies change your lifestyles and who knows you maybe able to afford an extra tenner or so?
absolutely !!! let them eat cake [:D]
 7.

Just sent my mate a text to clear it up.  Probably paid a tenner- had a few sherbets yesterday so memory`s a bit hazy!  One thing for sure is it wasn`t the £20 being bullsh*tted about on the other thread. Thanks for the link Graham.  Shows what i`ve been saying on other threads is correct- that members can get in for £27 for a grade A game, not the £31/£32 people keep quoting.
what are you the bloody ticket office manager or something? if  you are then i sugest you brief your staff on what the prices are when fans ring up ..for the last time i rang up friday and was quoted £20 for my 12 year old son or as the lady put it a bit cheaper £19 with a restricted veiw .. now that was the information i was given by the ticket office on friday morning and i based my decision not to go on the price quoted..i asked if they had anything cheaper she said no..now i''m sorry if this upsets you but i swear on my sons life that is the truth .. get over it .. and i am a supermember  and was quoted £29 + a £1.50  booking fee..you seem to have gone to a lot of trouble to prove i am some sort of liar ? why don''t you ring up the ticket office and ask to listen to the training puposes recording...i''m beggining to think you are working on this message board on behalf of the club ? why else does it upset you so much IDIOT
And i swear on my life that my mate payed nothing like £20 to take his daughter in the Jarrold.  I assume he paid a tenner (was a bit hammered when i spoke to him last night) but i`m awaiting a text to confirm that.  It could well be that those cheaper tickets were sold out when you phoned up so calm down [:P]  I have no problem with people not liking the price increases.  I do have a problem with people misrepresenting them by implying that £20 was the cheapest kids ticket for yesterday or the cheapest adult ticket was £31/£32 as some have done.  That is simply wrong and the sort of behaviour i`d expect of a scummer trying to make trouble on here. The link provided shows that "A" games are £27 for members, so i haven`t got a clue why people were being quoted £29 for yesterday- maybe some of the ticket office staff don`t understand the pricing structure either?
if you look on grahams link you will see that a grade A game for an under 16 non member is £20 or £19 for a restricted veiw(as the lady described  what was available)..a 12 year old counts as an under 16 in the clubs pricing structure not an under 12 so hence £20 that was being bullsh1tted on another thread as you put it is actually correct i won''t hold my breath for an apology  [:D]

 9.
I like that if a goalkeeper gives away a penalty, and then saves it, he becomes an instant hero. If I set fire to your house, and then put the blaze out before any damage was done, would I be a hero too?
perhaps he should have stayed on his line when the player burst through and politely ushered the ball into the net ? [:D]
 10.

The crowd at Coventry today was 13,169.  That''s embarrassing to be honest.
and their ground hols 28K doesn''t it? less than 50% attendance what a joke
it was like  taking a walk with the ghost of christmas to come [:D]
 11.

well i stayed away because of the price no other reason... not so much the price for me but the £20 they wanted to charge my 12 year old  son as has been well documented on another thread.. and i bet anything you like most of the empty seats were down to similar situations ..
Well I think that is a dreadful sum to ask for your lad. You need to find an alternative for a Saturday afternoon before he starts saying things like "My Dad says we cannot afford to go to the match". I remember mine stood up in class and said " Please miss we don''t have a TV" and was told by the teacher not to tell lies! I have felt sick in the pit of my gut for the last 40 years because of that. Maybe you could take an interest in rugby at Swardston or soccer at Dereham?
he can tell people that if he likes.. its not as much a case as can''t afford but am not prepared to pay..i''ve then got to give my daughter a treat of equal value i''ll be bloody brassic by november.. up until now since he has taken an interest the most i have had to stump up for us both is probably around £35 for the both of us and we''ve sat through some awful miserable afternoons together over the last 5 years but he loves it..now he''s 12 he hasn''t suddenly started work and earning money yet suddenly they want more than double for his ticket and now we are looking at £50 + with the increases..i''m not gonna take it we will choose our games carefully until the club do something about it [:D]

 14.
I understand clearly the frustrations of the original poster....who is quite correct in their thoughts.... But, was anyone here initially complaining when the likes of Huckerby, Crouch - and lately Sibierski, Evans, Lita etc, all came on loan to Carrow Road....? If we had the finances, and Cardiff due to their ''financial situation'' weren''t allowed to sign Bellamy - and yet we were fortunate he came to us on loan for a season - would we still be critics of the loan system? Just a thought.....
i think the original poster was saying that in his younger days clubs like norwich didn''t have to rely on loans to players of this quality they would go and pick them up from the lower leagues or buy them from other clubs like spurs reserves ..but nowadays even lower half prem squads have to rely on loans to get decent quality in because the big clubs stockpile all the players [:D]
 15.
So how come there were very few moans about an "A" minimum price for members of £25 in a lower league last season, yet £27 for the same bracket this season is "exhorbitant"??
you keep on about £27 like a bloody  parrot .. they are £29 .. i''m a supermember and was told £29 [:D]
 16.

Thing is as well that whilst there is concern that Swansea is Grade A, we actually have a Grade A* category of match so you can expect the likes of Ipswich, QPR, Middlesbrough, Cardiff etc to fall into that category! To have the sole criteria as "maximising income" is in my view short sighted and ignores one of the main reasons that we have such good crowds - namely that the club took a long term view and decided to encourage young supporters to attend through affordable ticket prices. As i''ve said on another thread I accept some adjustment is needed as there were too many cheap tickets but mcnally needs to be really careful here or fans will start to walk away. I am also concerned at what might happen with season ticket prices in january!
Plenty of fans have walked away in recent years due to the neccessity of planning games 3 weeks in advance in order to get tickets.  Alot of people don`t work that way and want to decide nearer/on the day whether they can go depending on their finances, social calender etc.  I personally know 4 people who have hardly been in recent years but are there tomorrow.  One of them (who bought 3 tickets) said "I`m going to games now, because if we do well i won`t be able to get tickets later in the season".  Looking at the online ticketing there are not too many tickets left, so with a bit of a walk-up tomorrow it won`t be far from a sell-out.  Not bad when you consider loads are still on holiday and Swansea clearly isn`t an "A" game standard.  And can i ask yet again why people are throwing around untrue figures like £30, when you can get a ticket for £27?  It`s amazing how someone can post something, then everyone repeats it because they like the sound of it even though it`s actually bullsh*t!  A bit like people posting that tickets for Watford were £32 when even the Watford fans weren`t charged that!  Do people enjoy posting lies which damage their own club?
i rang up the ticket office this morning i am a super member  and was quoted £29 for me £20 for a 12 year old and a £1.50 booking fee even though i would have to pick up the tickets before the match..i asked if they had anything cheaper and she said oh yes theres some restricted veiw seats which are £19 for kids...those are facts not lies about the club ring them yourself if you don''t believe me [:D]

Still, enjoy your day and don''t fall in [:)][Y]
i''ve bought the maggots and made arrangements with other people now.. the club can go get f---- for this week.. anyway if its gonna cost me £50 everytime i want to take my son to a game i may as well get sky back and tell him to support man united from his armchair, cos his local club aren''t bothered about his support anymore [:D]

 19.

" Lets hear from the horses mouth why tickets are stupidly overpriced " Simple, because the players are stupidly overpaid.
And we demand players good enough to compete. The problem as I have said on a couple of these threads is the past, we filled the ground far to cheaply. I suspect in every crowd over a number of years 25% have been or claimed to be under 16 / under 21 / over 65. 20 % of our gate therefore when kids for a quid others for a fiver would have meant about 5000 of the crowd having n income of £5000 - £7500, I cant think that would cover any 1 of our players wages for a week, hence £23m debt. We have not really been filling the ground with paying customers, we have been filling it with token gestures almost giving seats away to ensure a full house. It is the past that was a bigger joke and now to keep the club in existence we are going to have to pay for it or settle for league 1 football. With hindsight we should have been complaining when the tickets were to cheap. I am not meaning to be contraversial but if we gave all our seats away I am sure we could get 50000 in the stadium if it was big enough. That would be great if we could find 20 players and a manager plus coaching staff and stewards ect to all work for nothing. It would be even better if all our creditors said we are writing your debts off, McNally bought us time not a reduction in the debts. When our last lot of debts were reported there were plenty on here and in the een suggesting things such as lets all put £100 quid in - that would have been far more than the increase in ticket prices. Our debts must come down or we face admnistration / league 1 football or worse. It is absoloutely pointless filling the stadium and increasing the debt as some are quite right future generations will not be there - the reason being though our debts have put us out of business.  All around the club people are being asked to pay for things. My lads in the PDC but has to pay for his coaching. Moving that up the scale all the youth teams have to pay their own expenses. Be careful what you wish for. Lose / not back McNally imo would be the end of our club as we know it, he is our last chance.
i would say some of the absolute rubbish we have been served up since 2005 getting  a ground full of people to turn up for nothing would be some achievement let alone paying customers  [:D]
 20. the woman in the ticket office didn''t exactly seem suprised when i said no thankyou at that price..even the restricted veiw areas were £19 for a 12 year old..there won''t be a supply and demand problem for much longer at those prices the club are alienating the next generation of fans or their parents anyway ..
 21. just rang up the ticket office for tomorrows game and was quoted £50.50 for me and my 12 year old son..i don''t care what anyone says 20 quid for a 12 year old to watch norwich city v swansea is outrageous..its a shame but he''s now going to miss out i can''t afford to take him very often at those prices.. i have been priced out of watching my team [:(]
 22. we may have covered it to death but obviously its still a concern to people so it shouldn''t be brushed under the carpet ...
 23. i fully agree mate ..but you can expect to get hammered on here for being disloyal and for  putting your family having food, heat and shelter before the club [:D]
 24.
Once heralded, now forgotten? I mean they must have reported by now - even an interim report. What did they say? We can''t find anyone to invest on your terms, but if you put Stephen Fry on the board maybe he can help look? You can''t invite wealthy investors to a match at Carrow Road and relegate them to the back of the Director''s Box? You''re having us on? Seriously though, by now the Club ought to have given us even an outline update. But then it belongs to the owners not us, so.............. [O] OTBC
let me tell you where i am .. your a boring (unt and for that reason im out [:D]
