I like this system and think we have the players to play in it.   Agreed, Torres might not be scoring, but this system would allow the 3 behind Holt to break more freely in support, safe in the knowledge there are at least 2 holding players there protecting the back 4.

The report on the game notes no Lappin or McDonald.  Anyone know why?   Also, I can''t see any mention of Oli Johnson or McNamee.  Were they there today?  If not, anyone know why?

Chris Martin does have a lot of potential but he doesn''t deliver regularly enough.  Plus I''m sure his off field antics have got up Lambert''s nose a bit.   I expect that he might be offered as a makeweight in any deals Lambert does

So Vaughan is supposedly the first of seven targets Lambert has secured.  Who are the other six?   Seems that Morison might be one of them.  That surely spells the end for Wilbraham, Oli and Chrissy Martin and probably McDonald.  That would leave 4 strikers for 2 positions.   Another goalkeeper as back up / competition to Ruddy?  Then Rudd and Steer can go on loan to gain valuable game time.   At least 1 defender is needed, maybe 2.  Chambers of Forest can play at right back (cover for the Norfolk Cafu) and CB.  Thoughts on a 2nd defender?   Leaving two more signings to make.  Midfielders?  But who?

Neither thanks.  They don''t fit within Lambert''s ethos of young, hungry and hard working.

I did the predictor on BBC site today.  QPR to win the league by 9 points.  Between us and Swansea for 2nd and my prediction came out level on points, lebel goal difference, Norwich 2nd on goals scored.   This is based on us getting nothing at Swansea on the 9th so this game, it goes without saying, is massive.

I think that offering Cody Mac on loan as a sweetner in the Jackson deal is one of Lambert''s few mistakes.  Probably wouldn''t have been any worse than Simeon this season.   That said, I think that Cody has found his level and if he only has a year left on his contract better to sell in the summer for a fee than let go on a free.
