1. I suppose the proof of the pudding ........................blah, blah, blah   For me though, and it is early days, I can''t see Whittaker and Butterfield as more than squad players.  And are they better than what we have?
 2. Don''t think so, Tilly.  This might have left a bad taste in some of the fans'' mouths.  Holt needs to deliver with 20+ goals this season.   For me, Howson will be in with a shout of POTS, will be a quality and important player for us.
 3. Can''t see it being Mackay somehow, as the criteria was top flight experience, here or abroad, and / or out of work.   I think that the Scot was Strachan.   Tin hat on.   Oh, and for what it''s worth, I think Zola was one of the Italians.
 4. Yes welcome Chris, and a 3 year contract too.  None of your rolling 12 month bollox
 5. Maybe if Hughton becomes manager, he can bring the Brum left back, David Murphy I think his name is.  Not a bad player
 6. How on earth are you going to prove collusion?  Facts :   Whitbread''s contract was up   Lambert, as Norwich manager and with the approval of the Board, agreed not to extend Whitbread''s contract   Whitbread is a free agent - if he ends up at Villa, then he ends up as Villa     I just hope that in the fine print is a Swansea type stipulation, where Lambert can''t poach for 12 months
 7. Now 1/2 with the bookies, was generally 14/1 to 20/1 only 30 minutes ago
 8. Talking of Roy, someone at the FA reminded him the other day "don''t forget we haven''t got Wayne for the first two games", to which Roy replied "I don''t need a weather forecast you pwick"!
 9.
I just grateful that Zamora is not in the squad. Carroll has a bigger physical presence than Holt and to be fair, Liverpool have not played to his strengths all season, and have hardly played him, so he will be fresher, and of course he is much younger than Holt, and Hodgson is also thinking more long-term. Holt has had a very demanding season and a rest for him will be good for us. Carroll though has to play well or the knives will be out. He had fitness problems earlier in the season and there must be a worry over him as he will surely be starting the first two games.  Let''s give him a chance though and hope that Hodgson is a ''lucky'' manager.
Really?  What utter hogwash.  If he was thinking more long term, the likes of Terry, Gerrard and Lampard wouldn''t be in the squad and the likes of Micah Richards, Aaron Lennon, Tom Cleverley and Daniel Sturridge in the squad.   Also, no Michael Carrick, England''s most cultured midfielder.   Roy Hodgson has become a laughing stock almost immediately.

Or now we''re ''Global Canaries'' further afield...
I think the further afield option. Projecting our image, selling more shirts etc.
It depends where Mick McCarthy wants to take us.
IF, God ever does leave us, he would be my first choice.
Why?  There are far better out there.   Malky Mackay, Chris Hughton or Ian Holloway anyone?
Malky........failed at Cardiff and looked clueless so far. Hughton.....failed. Holloway...Will get Blackpool promoted so will stay there......plus he''s potty!
Malky hasn''t failed at Cardiff.  He did wonders with that team this year, they lost a host of key players and he hasn''t been able to bring many in.  He''s done a great job there IMO.
If you like hoofball fine, but the games I''ve seen Cardiff you need a deckchair to watch them.....no thanks
And McCarthy has been such a roaring success wherever he has been, hasn''t he eh Wiz?

 12. Kean is useless, but what he is doing is forcing the owners into sacking him, thus they (presumably) would be forced into paying him compensation.   If Kean fell on his sword and walked, he kisses bye bye to any of that.
 13. I guess the millions of others who have had a heart attack and survived but have not been in the public eye and therefore not subject to intense media attention will agree.
 14. Agree that our poor form of late (Spurs game aside) coincides with Fox''s absence from the starting XI.   Not necessarily the most gifted player, not the best tackler, but he can put his foot on the ball, look up, pick a pass and retain possession.
 15.
FFS! Wilbraham and Holt offered so little before that too - and neither of them are or should take the blame either - the hammering was on the cards long before Morison made an appearance. Toure on and had 2 assists within 15 mins - thats their midfielder as an attacking force was a more influential "coincidence" This game was about their midfield destroying ours - they were in irresistable form and outclassed us in all positions. Like earlier in teh season its not so important and we simply bounce back next time
But that''s the point I''m making.  By closing down defenders and defending from the front, you stop them giving the ball to the more influential midfielders.  If you defend from the front, you rush defenders into making mistakes, close down the space and they''re not always then able to use the ball like that.   But give them time on the ball to bring it out of defence, then you''re asking for trouble.
 16. .... that it went pear shaped once Morison came on.  No effort, no wanting to close defenders down, push them into mistakes.  As a consequence, they had time on the ball and could play it out from the back.  Totally different to the immense effort put in by Wilbraham when he was willing and able to close defenders down, so we might as well have played the last 30 with 10 men.   The lack of effort goes totally against Lambert''s work ethic.   Thanks for what you''ve done Morison, but if you are shipped out in the Summer, I won''t shed a tear.
 17.
IF he leaves in a few years, There is one man who I''d like to see take over. I doubt many here will agree with me, but Ian Culverhouse. He has been with Lambert for years, so must have learnt a thing or 2. Plus he loves the club, and know how Norwich should play the game. People have said that he does more than PL anyway!
IF Lambert leaves, then he will undoubtedly take his backroom staff with him, including Culverhouse.   IF Lambert leaves, it depends on when he does and who is available.   IF Lambert were to leave now, then I''d go for Brian McDermott of Reading.
 18. Without tempting fate, whilst we''re not mathematically safe from relegation, it''s looking good.  The ''magical'' 40 points mark is only 5 away and there are plenty of winnable fixtures left.   With this in mind, do you think that Lambert will put out his first choice XI (whatever that is!) or bring fringe players into the starting XI for the Leicester game?  We are only 2 matches from Wembley!!!
 19. Lambert has not said this to hold the Board to ransom, nor is he going to walk.  I firmly believe that he has a list of targets, which he and the Board are working on getting in.  But January being January and prices being inflated, I don''t think they will allow the club to be held to ransom and should the targets not be acquired, then Lambert will not buy for the sake of buying.
 20. If he can get himself fit, maybe we have a matchwinner in the squad already.   James Vaughan anyone?
 21.
Firstly you need to work on your grammar. Absolutely awful. Secondly the QPR owner is Malaysian not ''an Arab'' Thirdly I will not get behind Delia as I want her to do the right thing & walk away from Norwich City Football Club. Tough game tomorrow. QPR have strengthened significantly better than us & have come off the back of a good result away at Stoke. Prediction; NCFC-0 QPR-2
Binner alert
 22. We have 2 season long loans already in De Laet and Naughton.  I thought that 2 is the max.
 23.

I have never rated him, from the time he came in!
