1. Weird. I didn''t think they were always going to beat us. If we had scored in the first 10 mins when we applied pressure it may have been different. Also, i didn''t think we were outclassed all over the park by any means. Grant Holt bullied them and we created a host a chances in the first half. If their lucky 4th hadn''t gone in at the moment it did we may have put the wind up them a bit. That said the finish for the second was class.Oh and the Jerry thing was fun, (poor chap, we musn''t, otherwise he''ll never be there again)  but only because E block had relatively few of the season ticket holders and we all treated it like a pre season friendly.  Still if we keep it up,  the chief  man in a jacket won''t be pleased...!
 2.
The Friendship in Fallowfield.Hopefully there will be others there as well.
Good pub. Boy I miss Manchester!
 3.

But you dont REALLY think God exists do you? I thought everyone these days knew he is right up there with Father Christmas in terms of imaginary characters. When you die thats the end - just everlasting blackness without consciousness. And don''t worry, when you are bashing out a quick one there is nobody ''watching over you'' - especially not your Granny! The bible was invented by rulers wanting to scare the masses into behaving. And Dinosaur Fossils were not put there to test your faith - they actually existed millions of years before Humans and we were not put here ''In God''s own image''. By the way, the world is also round, orbiting the Sun and not a flat disk on the back of a giant space turtle. My apologies if anyone is shocked by any of this but its the truth! :P
I''m not at all shocked, but what makes you think it''s the truth? I''m not a creationist and don''t have any problem with dinosaurs.  If you go to St John''s catholic cathedral in Norwich and look at the architecture, you''ll notice  black marble columns absolutely full of fossils - amazing.  If you don''t mind me asking, when was the last time you went to church or read the bible?
My post was a rather tongue in cheek response but letting you know my views. As you ask, the last time I went would have been fairly recently at my Brothers wedding. But I would not go for any other reason than to be there for a family member/friend on a special day. I myself had a civil service at a nice venue a couple of years ago. I dont remember the last time I read any of the bible. Probably some time when I was VERY bored in a hotel at a guess. The reason I think that what I said is the truth is because I am very mathematical and scientific about things and always been. I believe we can prove most of how the universe was formed and works scientifically and therefore there is no need for there to be a God. This does not prove he does not exist - he may well have made it look the way it does for a reason. Stephen Hawking himself says he believes in God but knows there is no need for him to have existed for things to be the way they are. But given that there is no evidence for God to exist and that we can explain things scientifically I think it is highly improbable that God does exist. There are also many reasons that would explain why so many people in the world do believe in a God or Gods. It is comforting to some, others have been taught to fear God so that they will basically behave themselves, etc, etc. I have no problem with anyone who wishes to believe that there is a God. Thats fine with me as long as they dont want to try to convince others that they are right. Like the Jehovahs witness who tried to question me on why a pile of bricks does not evolve into a house! We can all believe what we wish to. I choose to base things on science and maths as I think they are far more reliable than old stories and beliefs that were invented to explain the then unexplainable.
And yet I believe over half the people in this country disagree with you (including people who are good at science and maths!) Yes Delia goes toward community because of her Catholicism but the the bits that lean toward "community" make money rather than lose it. It''s weird that she gets lambasted for being a Machiavellian bitch who''s out to screw NCFC for every penny in pursuit for personal wealth and yet is also the person who is too nice and Catholic to make the hard choices. Maybe she is just someone without enough money or footballing nous to make it successful but can''t give up until someone turns up to take it on?
 4. Yes, I did. It was bad bad bad. But the abuse was beyond the pale. As a chap I feel sorry for him.
 5. Wasn''t the original written by GK Chesterton for Churchill or am I mistaken?Anyway... Up the City!
 6. I think not. Too many of us now have a vested interest beyond simply hounding out Delia and Michael, given 11 new players (ours) and a loan. The things the boo boys have been asking for have been fulfilled (bar their departure) and surely now people want us to perform. It will take more than 20 minutes for that work to be undone. 90 minutes with 25,000 of us should scare any team. We just need to make it happen.
 7. The Horse and Dray. We''ll be there tomorrow although the Aussie abuse from the landladies will be hard to stomach.Just have to man up I guess.
 8.
Afraid you''ll have to pay to listen to it online, but our live text service (which is also a two-way thing between presenter and reader) is free... http://new.pinkun.com/content/NCFC/Stats/2009-2010/live/090808Colchester.aspx
Actually this is a good point. I wonder how much money the club really makes by subscriptions to CW compared to the "goodwill revenue" they would get from making it available to city fans all over the UK and world. I imagine might be a BBC wide thing rather than negotiated on a club by club basis but if it''s good enough for the lounges (where we don''t really need it..er we''re there!) then surely it''s good enough for yellows the world over. If you want to build a wider base than God''s country of Norfolk then broadcast outside it!
 9. Nice work Andy. The proper river end there as well! I think the father you speak of may have been there!
 10. I had a look at the online piece today and the restricted view bit is the only one where there is much left.Got to say, the online ticketing site is fantastic. I''m not sure how many other clubs have this facility but to be able to hone in and choose your seat plus book online is a massive leap forward compared to what we had. Well done to the designer!
 11.
Pros Loves the club too much Cons Loves the club too much
I like that. good summary.
 12. Obviously it''s good to celebrate Sir Bobby''s life in any way, however I can''t stand the minute''s applause. Anyone can make lots of noise. It takes some sort of discipline to stay silent and the whole point of being quiet is to reflect on the subject. And as has already been pointed out, 25000 people silent at a football match is a very powerful expression of feeling. 25000 people being noisy at a football match is pretty much business as usual.
 13. £15 for an adult I believe which would seem incredible, and then you remember where it was.
 14. The whole Barclay singing "Childhood obesity....childhood obesity....etc" at some chunky youngster in the away end when he took off his top last season. can''t remember which game it was.
 15. Horse and Dray on Ber St. Good food, good beer, nice big screen for the football and a decent garden too. Plus it''s a downhill walk to the ground.
 16.
THANK YOU CHRISR could''nt get in at Bishops, but im in at 8pm at ElmHill, do you now any hotels, dont fancy the one over looking Carow Road,
King Chops has definitely picked the top of the range. Easy walking distance of the Elm hill B too. For something a bit cheaper the Maids Head hotel is okay I guess. Not the best in the world but close by and right next to where you''re eating. Also has the Adam and Eve close by which is always worth a visit. Tell me what you think of the food at Elm Hill. I ate their set dinner last week and it was great. Good luck!
 17. A good restaurant in Norwich is Bishops. Used to be Fizzbuzz but changed the name to something slightly less 2001. Quite posh but the food is really good and it''s not too expensive.http://www.bishopsrestaurant.co.uk/Otherwise the Elmhill Brasserie is excellent, More intimate than Bishops so might be a good one for taking the lady to. http://www.elmhillbrasserie.co.uk/index2.htmlBoth places are pretty romantic and beat the usual suspects (Pinocchio''s, Rare etc) hands down.
 18.

Lord Norwich, Are you aware that your Costessey Hall do longer exists?
That that do...Thas down Gunton Lane
Erm actually my Lord it wasn''t. It was down West End way and a tower is all that remains on the 17th hole of Costessey Park golf course. I''d recommend Ernest Gauge''s book on Costessey hall to you. An interesting read.
 19. quote user=Shake n Vac the basd meerkat up Most cancer victims get a second wind before the reaper arrives.quoteI presume you are a physician. Ridiculous statement, think before you write.
 20.

Not unless Dr Miagi (Karate Kid) has done something to his legs to sort them out since this morning he won''t be.
I would love it if we bought a striker and every time we got a corner, he stood on the edge of the "D" in the one legged crane pose so he could execute a 20 yard flying volley.
Nope, all we''d get is the Doc in our box with someone behind him screaming "Sweep the leg......sweep the leg....."
 21.

My Wife (who has no clue about Football,or cooking[:P]) sumed up the NCFC situation nicely when she said during a conversation about next season, and i quote "so the''re gonna sell everyone, get new players for free and keep all your money, again!,your gonna wake up to this lot one day". Even my Football hating Wife can see whats coming yet we all cling to the hope that things will change,we must be mad!! Sorry if this is deemed to be another negative post but i just thought it was quite funny really,an outsiders point of few and she couldn''t care less what league we are in,who we have as manager or who we have or haven''t signed.   Day 73, and still no forward......
Your missus sounds like a potential candidate for the Purists group. Is she attractive?
What''s pure about them?
 22.

How sad it is that some on here hold the priesthood in such low regard and are unable to distinguish between the fraction of disgraceful charlatans who get a collar for the wrong reasons and the huge majoritywho serve their communities with love and dedication for very little in return.
I thought it was compulsory to take it up the jacksie after you''d taken the oath?..... You mean all of those bastards were lying?......   Well....that''s certainly me done with religion from now on !!!!!
You really are a clever boy aren''t you cluck. Straight out of the 3rd year book of pathetic insults. VIYAG, i''m constantly amazed by the dedication of priests and clergy. If the work they and other people did in the name of God was taken away it would be a desparate blow to the country and the world. Good on you Phil. I''m sure you will make an excellent priest.
 23.

How about you use a suppository and dig out an answer to the problem then Cluck? None of you have one do you other than ''Delia Out'' and then some mythical saviour in? If that happened then great. If you are so upset with the clubs situation however - so something - stop coming, wave a banner but simply moaning on here about those of us that are going to be turning up again next season won''t change things now will it. All of you moaners need some back-bone - come up with an answer and take action or your the ''mindless sheep''. You remind me of little children throwing a tantrum. Do something if you are so upset! Just like Smudger though you do all give me a chuckle, bless...
We don''t need a saviour...we just want our club back in the hands of someone who will put football first as opposed to the simple self promotion of Smith..... I stopped going to games some time back like Smudger. Had many others had the same selfless attitude we would have removed Smith by now...but unfortunately there are too many like you who only care about yourself and your own personal entertainment on a Saturday. I trust you and your ilk are now enjoying the fruits of your lethargy and weakness......
yeh.... Damn you all for supporting your football club. If you like me had stopped supporting your football club then your football club would be in a much better position......What a strange word some people inhabit.
