1.
Anyone know if the Fat Cat will be showing the game?Ive got to go there for a mates birthday but dont really want to miss the game!
As i''m aware the Fat Cat doesn''t have Sky anymore. The Nelson will have it on probably
 2. City Gates. Lots of screens and for once no plastic premier league fans.
 3. A penny worth. Someone on one of the threads mentioned that the walk up Carrow rd toward Lower Clarence and thorpe rd after the game was like a morgue. Correct yes, reason? Fear, simple fear. They were all around us and no one had any idea who was about to start. I walked up there and a good example of broken britain was there staring straight through me just daring me to look back (ok i''ve no colours and got a skinhead, not by choice by the way). I kept on walking toward the Coach and Horses. On the Junction of Carrow rd and Lower Clarence there must have been near on 100 of them waiting, just looking for something. And one policeman, and one policewoman (is it still ok to say policewoman?). That was it. Hundreds of men, women and children walking past that. Great. Well played. No, there will be no flood of evidence about what happened, no, the article that appeared on the EDP website with the bill congratulating themselves that strangely disappeared will be forgotten. But the kids who got scared won''t forget. And Archant. The Leeds fans were taunting us about being kept in for ''their'' safety. Where is the article asking why they weren''t kept in? Simple question chaps.
 4.

Quote from leedsunitedworld "Also I would like to point out that Ken Bates does not own this football club. He is our chairman, not our owner. It was revealed at court that bates does not own the holding company that owns Leeds United. The actual owners names are not known to anyone but the club and the football league" I only have one comment for the author of this article and anyone else on leedsunitedworld.  Is there anyone in Yorkshire with a brain?
Bates knows who owns Leeds... None of the fans do... What''s your problem? [:S]
It''s Glen Miller and I claim my £5
 5. I''ll cheer him. Not the best player to put on a Norwich shirt but not the worst (we had Dean Coney remember). I liked Hughes simply because he always gave everything and you could tell he gave a damn. My favourite memory was of him making a sliding tackle vs the the binners, taking man and ball, getting up and roaring at the crowd. The aggression and passion he had was obvious. A decent full back and a top chap.
 6. He certainly is and still sits in the City stand with his chums. As was his father, even though he was Polish and only turned up after Mr Hitler got upperty.
 7. The same people who cheer Delia one minute then call for her head the next!  Most of the posters on here then..... I''d boo anything if I''d payed £20 to watch rubbish. I feel stupid clapping and siging when its shite. I''m not there for them, they''re there for me. I''m the customer. (except I wasn''t even there)Except that watching City isn''t a retail experience! I don''t go because on balance the financial expenditure matches the product I consume. If that was the case i''d pay for Sky and watch Chelsea on the telly like the rest of those muppets trying to make up for whatever childhood insecurity is biting. I never boo because the club belongs to me as much as it does to the players and make a point of not booing myself.
 8.

No no no no, can we keep the nutters with their superstitions and stories away from football please?
Given that studies still show that over half of the British population still believe in God that''s a lot of nutters.
That is truly terrifying.
To you maybe old chap, anyway football and God have form. Pope JP was a goalkeeper and Billy Bragg wrote "God''s footballer", a truly great song!

 10. I am not sure why Michael Rose only has a Sky rating of "5". I thought he played ever so well on Saturday and obviously others did to make him "Man of the match". Is it possible that he played "out of his skin"? I don''t understand either why Stockport would want to let him go being as he is a regular first team player or do I understand how or Manager got to know about him, I have read about Stockport being in financial difficulties but its hard to imagine a situation so bad that you send out a regular first team player on loan. Social life is not going to be easy for him being so far from home in the North West (200 miles) and I hope that he settles in reasonably quickly My mate''s brother in law is a county fan and believe from what he''s told me they are lucky they still have a club at all at the moment. The club is struggling to survive and probably need to get all the high earners they can off their books, hence why we were able to snap up Johnson and Rose, however apparently we were supposed to be doing an exchange and Stockport were getting Cureton, which is obviously yet to happen, if at all. Absolutely unsubstantiated I know, it''s just what the rumours around Stockport were when Rose left, don''t know if there''s any truth in it. I was saying just this to the chaps behind me in the Barclay yesterday. Both of the players look excellent acquisitions and either Stockport have a wealth of talent that they aren''t putting out at the moment or they are in real trouble. Pity if it''s the second. I really like their fans. So close to Man City and that other global football brand that happens to play in the area, but they support Stockport. Top bunch. Oh and SLKOS, love the signature, master Frank Turner I believe. Awsome singer, saw him at the queen charlotte a year and a half ago and now he plays the UEA.
 11. It was fantastic! Normally these links are dodgy as hell and I live out in the wilds (Reedham way) so my broadband is generally about as good as Ngog''s finishing. For this game the link was brilliant, the commentary nice and minimal and some of the replays they showed at half time were different anything you normally get to see. Sweet justice for not getting a ticket in the raffle. Dead Canary, I salute you Sir (or Madam)
 12.

Change it, lets bury the supposed legend crap once and for all.
he was a member of the best 93 squad and he played showed terific comitment to the club playing a blinder just days after his daughter had died, im sorry wiz but i have to disagree with you on this one, gunn is and always will be a norwich city legend
Spot on.
 13. From the Pinkun article about this it appears that as long as the Exeter team can get here then we will play presuming the approaches to CR are ok. Not sure if we are predicted too much more of the white stuff between now and Sat are we. That said, i''ve been sent back to Reedham from work in Gorlesden this morning after it took 2 hours to get there. Oh well, working from home it is. C''mon Colly and Bell!
 14. What''s "American" style Haggis chops? Is it like the Scottish variant, just a fat boy sized portion?
 15.
when the ground wasnt all seater..the Atmosphere was fantastic. Not its so lame and pretty quiet.
Evening Chris!
 16. I was there that afternoon. We were losing horribly (the city fans singing "Do you want to win the league" at our own players after being handed our arse on a plate for the afternoon. In the final minutes a handball in the Wimbledon area (the city fans were all behind that goal) gave us a penalty. I can''t remember how many we were down by (could have been 2 or 3) but yes, Dave Phillips told the ref that it simply wasn''t a pen. I can still see him talking to the ref and it made me proud to be a Norwich fan. That said I was still raging about the defeat and the 6 sodding hour coach journey there didn''t make me feel any better. I can''t believe a crosser of the ball like Phillips would have been listed for doing that in a game we were going to lose anyway.
 17.
When will people realise for delia smith norwich city is a hobbie, not a buisness many times i have heard her say we are just glad to be here, ie premiership, championship,  league 1
Evening Chris! Not heard from you for ages....And you''ve never heard her say she is "just glad" to be in league one.
 18. Let''s face it, in the first round we all rolled our eyes and didn''t mind if we went out. Now we are getting twitchy about going back to Wembley and will be staring very closely at the draw on Sat. C''mon, who''s not getting a ticket if we go to the final? And what''s the bet on 20k+ at CR if we are at home in the next round? Oh and the City / dirty Leeds final is the one the JPT organisers must be praying for. We''d take 40k and maybe...just maybe the Leeds glory crowd would turn up.
 19. For me, Robert Rosario vs Southampton 1989. We were 4-2 down with about 15 mins left and Rosy (after already scoring the goal of the season) scored in the last to give us an improbable 4-4 draw...... Happy days!
 20.
Not to be confused with the Norwich City Official People''s Front.
Splitter...
 21.
that is the BEST norwich performance I have seen on sky for AGES!I''m one proud canary tonight. Bring on Swindon [Y]
I''m with you CT. We lost to a freak defensive lapse. Other than that I thought we took the game to the dirty Leeds from first minute to last. And yes i''m left feeling positive about Saturday too.
 22. I don''t like Everton. And putting the "kick racism out" sign deliberately under us when we were away there last was beneath contempt. Well done Delia for refusing to sit with their directors.
 23. I might need correcting on this but isn''t the whole "Police say it''s Midday Sunday" stuff not true?I''m sure someone told me that the Police are sanguine about kickoff time but remind the club of just how much more it will cost to provide the amount of thin blue line required to keep the Binners away from us on a Friday evening. The clubs then hum about it and chose the cheap option every time. We blame the Police when it''s the clubs that choose it.
 24. I would probably have very little interest in football at all. If it hasn''t got yellow and green involved then i''m not hugely interested. Hence I can never get particularly worked up about England games.
 25. This could of course be that er most Norwich fans come from Norfolk and therefore er, have a Norfolk accent. What would you prefer? Us sounding like the bunch of Mockneys down the road?
