1.
Zimbabwe doesn''t enjoy the same freedom as we have; and freedom of speech is one we should respect, not abuse. The Delia/Mugabee comparison was absolutely awful. The post also broke the following Code of Conduct points:Are insulting, abusive, racist, sexist, or derogatory in any way to others, whether they are individuals or companies, social or religious groups or people of a different background, users of the Forum or not. Make libellous comments about individuals or companies, including Archant newspapers, magazines or websites, and their staff or contributors. The law against defamation protects individuals or organisations from attacks on their reputation. This means the publication of any statement which: exposes them to hatred, ridicule or contempt , causes them to be shunned or avoided, discredits them in their trade, business or profession, or generally lowers them in the eyes of right thinking members of society. Unlike other charges, the onus is on you in cases of libel, as the author, to prove your statement or comment is legal. Note that that reported messages do get through, but there is an recurring problem with an error message that appears when the report gets sent.
Vince, I can certainly see why you might look to delete the post given the rules st above, however there are surely some nuances at wokr here:On point one, "insulting, abusive, racist, sexist, or derogatory in any way to others, whether they are individuals or companies," This is all encompassing, Surely we would have little to discuss on the forum if this was followed to the letter. Especially if the usual company norm is followed that it only needs to be considered insulting or abusive to the recipient. Gosh, if we follow this then 80% of the last week''s posting needs removing. In terms of libel, (And i''m no lawyer) would there not need to be substantive  proof that there was some sort of material damage caused by the comment? Otherwise it is surely just comment. Maybe taking it off is not to protect the object (in this case Delia) rather than the forum as being responsible as a conduit of the opinion? That would seem reasonable although if applied across the piece would make for a pretty dull discussion. Then again I replied to the original piece this morning not really assuming for a second it was in any way serious. As someone else rightly pointed out, it is difficult on email. No nuance and no tone.
 2. Sorry, the last was in response to the line below which didn''t come out highlighted as intended. Oh and the choose bit is for PC not you Richardo!   we want someone to come along and put money into the team. We don''t want money for ourselves"
 3.

She doesn''t want any of those big boys playing with her doll''s house. It''s just that simple.
If Cullum wants to play Dollies, he should buy the dolls house from Delia. It''s just that simple.
Oh gawd. BDU . . . NCFC ISN''T A DOLLS''S HOUSE! It isn''t a toy of any kind.  It''s just that Delia treats it that way.
Tell Ricardo that! Delia is treating NCFC like a business, insisting Cullum buy her out before she relinquishes control. Insisting it makes a profit. But that is why some people have an issue, thinking that you can still run a football club successfully these days without it being a business. But those people are just out of touch with the modern realities of the game.
You just don''t get it do you BDU. It''s not about the money. That''s why she continues to put up barriers. At the AGM it was all "we want someone to come along and put money into the team. We don''t want money for ourselves". Well it doesn''t look like that from where I''m standing. The club has become her toy, dolls house, train set, call it what you like. Why else do you think it''s all gone quiet? They hope the big boy will go away.
Which of course is fine. Ok Mr PC, you are more than welcome to put £20M into the playing side, just not with control of the football club. That will cost you more. Now kindly choose which you would prefer please. (I know it'' not that simple to gift money to companies but there will be ways I presume)
 4.
This is all true but those regimes that fall into this category tend to cling to their position as long as possible.  Look at mugabe.
Hmm. Mildly benevolvent celebrity chef / owner of football club compared to geoncidal dictator responsible for the systematic destruction and starvation of all who oppose him. Nope, don''t see the comparison there i''m afraid..
 5. I may be wrong but doesn''t he wear the gloves because of a medical condition involving circulation to his hands?
 6. Wierdly enough I rather liked Andy Hughes. Not the most gifted I grant you but boy did he care. I remember a home game vs the binners (was it 2 years ago, we lost I 3-1 takeing the lead ) where he made a thumping tackle ona scummer, got up, roared at us in the river end  / jarrold infill (are the singers still there I wonder), shook his fist and ran away. He was the only one who seemed to really understand just how much that game meant to us.

You could well be right about the debt although I would imagine that the business could be organised in such a way that only a minute profit would be declared.I shall be furious if PC does walk away now. As blah says, it would smack of cynical manipulation of the media and fans and destabilisation of the club in an attempt to gain control of the club for less than its worth.Having gone this far he owes it to the supporters he claims to care about to at least try to do a deal. If he tries and it doesn''t happen because of the intransigence of the current owners, then we really will know where to direct our angerWith everything I have heard about PC I find it difficult to believe he would do this so I hope the information about him walking away is wrong.
Agreed. Especially given that it appears the "offer" / "expression of interest" was recieved after the AGM I really wonder just how serious this was initially and what real proposals have since been put forward. I too will be livid given the timing of the EDP article, just before pre season. If PC is serious about the best interests of the club he will be prepared to pay a fair price,  not a knowckdown price after stiring up external pressure from the media and fans.
On the other hand, the less he has to pay for control of the club, the more will be available for spending on players.
True, but given how much he has apparently got (and no, it''s not the GDP of a small country as some seem to think), and our possibly precarious player situation, (i''ve got my boots dusted off and am awaiting the call) it seems his benevolent, "look ,i''m just in it to see us in the premier league" position seems mildlly disngenuous.
 8. Oh gosh I hope so. Every time I have seen him he looks like a class act.

 10. Hmm. Does this mean God forbid, that just possibly Delia is not the liar / cad / babylon whore / cheating bitch / binner / drunkard / woman of ill repute/ etc etc that she has been painted by some around here I wonder.....Possibly just someone who spent years and millions of pounds doing what she thought was right and is now facing what could be the future for our / her beloved club.Maybe she is just taking some time trying to find the best way to faciliate PC whilst walking away  and just about getting the money back that she put in. I could just be deluded of course but somehow I don''t think so. (And no I don''t work for them / not a binner etc etc)
 11. Can''t speak for others,  i''ve been a member for a while but preferred to watch rather than participate. Possibly I was prompted into posting something after being appalled by some of the toys from pram action witnessed in the last couple of days. Not a binner though. I live 30 seconds walk from the barclay, blessed as I am.
 12. Given some of the vitriol poured out at each other on this forum in the last couple of days a good chunk of the police budget will be needed in the barclay keeping us lot apart. I will be sad, and not just because I won''t be able to see the Doc''s valiant attempts through a police helmet.
 13. Sorry Royal Anglian, but this smacks of retrogade sexist tosh. Oh but woman your place is in the kitchen is it not........ 24,000 fans per game, a serviceable debt, a season in the premier league (do not underestimate achievement vs resource) , and more than that a number of people who''s primary interest is in the long term sustainablity of the football club. Oh, and yes i''ve been at the forums etc and listened. Delia''s business acumen is responsible for so much of our current fanbase and revenue. I was there standing on the barclay in front of 12000 fans...... (no I do not work for the club!)
