1. I don''t think he wants to be here. He''s never sounded overly enthused by being here, more that it''s just a step in the right direction, which I guess you can''t blame him for. We shouldn''t jump to conclusions before we know the truth, though. It''s too early to blame the board, as much as many of you want to!
 2. In all seriousness, wouldn''t you be better off waiting until after the January transfer window? At least then you will be able to judge properly what the board are up to.At the moment it seems pointless, because they have obviously spent good money on the loan signings and employed a highly respected manager. They are saying they''ve learned from their mistakes and the evidence of the last few weeks suggests (only suggests, mind) that that might be true. But the test will be the transfer window - whether we''re left with the squad Grant bequeathed us or whether every effort is made to keep improving the squad. If you protested now, what would it be about? ''Down with how bad things have been in the past, even though things look like they''re getting better''.You may as well have an anti-Chase protest.Any protest now would be counter-productive, seems naive and rather fuels the suggestion that this is all about the protester, not the protest.
 3. Didn''t look scared.Passed the ball.Got stuck in.Took their chances. Not perfect, but if we play like that for the rest of the season we will be safe with something to spare.Coventry were rubbish though, it has to be said.
 4. SO nice to see someone put their foot on the ball at last. Thanks Granty, at least you got something right - Fozzy is class.
 5.

I don''t see why you want to protest against delia and the board! If it wasnt for delia putting millions of HER OWN money into the club we would already be in league 1! So just grow up and SUPPORT the club not protest about anything you can think of to do with Norwich City Football Club!
Hah im not even going to bother with this one.....over to whoever wants to explain whats happened to this club and how it use to be....[:S]
In Arthur''s world, we used to be a well run club that was always in profit and finished every season in the top five of the top division, rather than the provincial hopefuls always there for the taking by local businessmen that attract little if no interest from ''outsiders'' that we actually are.Whatever pills you''re taking, can we all have some?
 6. ''Just as those of you who say that he would not of wanted one have used it to your advantage hey???''It''s only you using the connection. So give it a rest.
 7. Before I start, I''d make a polite request that for once, this doesn''t descend into a bitch about Grant''s signings, the board''s lack of this, that or the other or how much you all hate each other.So.Jason Shackell really doesn''t look like he can cut it at the moment. Of course he has his good points, but his composure in important areas of the pitch has been found wanting for some time. His passing is really not up to scratch and he looks like he''s reached a plateau. He looks like he needs some time away from the pressure, to work with a good coach who can rid him of his bad habits and train him to trust the ball a bit more. Until then, there will always be an air of ''calamity'' about him - especially noticeable when he''s alongside Doc, masked only slightly by the calmness of Taylor. That''s why Ian Murray could be just who we need. Forget past performances - every single player was rubbish before Grant left - and stick him in at left centre back. He''s experienced, knows how to mix his game and - importantly for Roeder''s theory of pushing the back four up - can pass the ball.Reports from Rangers fans say that he''s always been a great tackler and passer when played in central midfield but his vision with the ball is better used at the back. He hasn''t looked dreadful for us, and he''d balance nicely with Taylor. Worth a try?
 8. ''I still believe that if Graham was here he could well of been in support of a demo also''Unless you knew him, you have no right to say that. Stop trying to use the passing of GP to your advantage.Have some respect.
 9.
Brave man Smudger, well done.
Brave is dying for your country, not backing out of a protest because public opinion is against you.Perspective, please.
 10.
Not looking forward to the lambasting en masse im probably going to get for doing this (it has happened before when i said he should play against Watford), but I think Big Dave will be brilliant. If you look he scores quite regularly in the reserves- yes I know its not the same thing as full championship level, but at least this shows he can do it. Chris Brown still has one- just one, reserves and full team- goal after a very very very long waiting period and I think Dave needs a good run of starts to get him going.
You are absolutely right - my best mate lives up the Czech Republic and says Dave''s got everything he needs to become a top striker. The amazing thing is how people seem to think they can judge him on what must amount to about 3 games of football in this country. Let us not forget that he hasn''t yet had a full time coach working with him at NCFC, and that - heaven forfend - some players take time to settle in.And besides, everyone seems to forget that Malky was rubbish for years until he suddenly remembered how to defend and became a legend..
 11.
It''s a pity there aren''t a few more so-called "fairweather" fans, then the club might have to try a bit harder to get bums on seats . . . When I was growing up, no one except the posh nobs in the City Stand had season ticket, and the masturbatory "loyal fans" culture didn''t exist.  It never crossed our minds to consider whether we were loyal or not.  We were proud of our club, not of ourselves.  We turned up week in week out, but occasionally we went fishing instead.
In the olden days, we sometimes went out with our girlfriends instead of going to games. That saved us from becoming overly masturbatory loyal fans, I can tell you.
 12.
Thats 3 loanees now, seeing as you are only 4 on the pitch at any one time we can only realistically expect 1 more.  What, and who do we want.  Remember that we have the Doc, Fotheringham, Dion & Huckerby due back very soon.  Where do we want to strengthen, out of all the names bandied about who do we really need. My finger points at the strikers because of the lack of goals but is that due to ineffective strikers or poor service into them.  Do we want a CM (Nigel Quashie?).  We already have Rusty, Brellier, Pattison & Fozzy.  Left wing, no because Lappin or Hucks can play there.  A CB, no we have Shackell, the Doc, Taylor, Murray and Dion.  Is Otsemebor a weak link, is Cave-Brown ready? My money is on another CM and a change of shape for city.  4-3-3 with Camara and Otsemebor given licence to bomb down the flanks.  Quashie?, Rusty and Pattison in the middle.  Hucks, Cureton and Brown leading the line.  That should leave is with a strongish bench too, with Martin, Dave Striker, Dion, Fozzy, Brellier etc. etc. all pushing for a place. (Might try this on my FM game later!!)
Otsemebor is a weak link - defensively he''s been awful this season, constantly letting his man go when crosses come in from the opposite side. Hopefully that''s just a coaching matter though...
 13. Izzy''s very strong and quick - takes some good goals, too. Would be a plus for us.
 14.

They seemed to have curtailed this for a while, but exactly where in the report by Chris Lakey: ''Roeder: City flops should be ashamed'', does Roeder actually say they should be ashamed? Nowhere. Are they trying to turn him into Peter Grant? If I was a player reading that, I''d get that Grant feeling all over again, wouldn''t you?Just what we DON''T need right now.Sort it out Lakey-print some headlines that bear a vague resemblance to the content of the story!
For goodness sake, keep your knickers on. To start with, reporters don''t write headlines. Someone with even a basic knowledge of newspapers knows that. But on a more substantial note, your point would be more valid if it was right. but what Roeder said in the interview was this: "That is how I feel about football. It is a winning game. The players have to feel like that if they are walking around the town. I would not be proud at the moment. I would be hurting so terribly I would not want to go out." That, to all intents and purposes, is not far away from saying the players "should be ashamed". The headline gives an accurate reflection of the gist of the story - something a headline is supposed to do. I''m with you in your battle against sloppy journalism, and there''s plenty of it around, but this isn''t one of those occaions, I''m afraid.
Anyone with a basic knowledge of journalism will know that someone with Chris Lakey''s standing has every right to object to what the sub has written, and many will suggest a headline anyway - even if the sub ignores them. And that the sports editor has a penchant for inflamatory headlines anyway. As for the ''not far away'' from what the report is saying, well, if a newspaper said you were ''a murderer'' (note the use of apostrophe) in the headline and then said something different in the piece, you''d be somewhat annoyed.Regardless of this, the POINT is that we just got rid of a manager who used the press to mouth off about his players and the last thing players need right now (especially those who take headlines to heart- i.e. most) is Roeder being made to look like Peter Grant. Saying it''s difficult to walk round town when you''re playing badly is not the same as saying they should be ashamed of themsleves. Who, other than the smart-alecs on this board, didn''t think Roeder was having a Grant-style go at the players when they read the headline? And of course the players should be ashamed, but this isn''t the post to make that point.

 16. I have watched Smith on many occasions, in training at Cobham, for Chelsea reserves and for QPR. Judging him on the three or so games he''s played a part in at Norwich is a sad indictment of just how idiotic some of you are.He is a class player when played through the middle - he has a way to go yet, and no, he isn''t good enough for the Chelsea 1st XI right now - and he will come good for us if and when he gets match fit and plays in the right position.Mourinho really rated him and he''s not a bad judge of character, is he?
 17. ''Massage your ego elsewhere''Is that ''cos there''s only room for yours on this board, Cluck?
 18.
Its shocking that Ipswich can attract 2 different takeovers plus intrest from david Sullivan yet Delia claims noone is interested in us? Who has the better support, potential and facilitys? Its not the bloody scum is it!
It''s shocking that so many muppets have to compare us to Ipswich so often. We are in completely different worlds, both financially and geographically. And don''t you think if someone was interested in NCFC, they''d get the fans onside whether Delia likes it or not? But yet they haven''t. That''s because no one is interested. Is it really that difficult to work out?Can we stop banging on about this now?
 19.
Is it just me, or is he the worst player we have seen at Carrow Road this season.  He was hailed as the next Lampard, but in the West Brom game he looked like an imposter on the field until he was substituted.  I don''t normally like to be negative about players, and maybe I am not giving him enough time to show what he can do, but he certainly wouldn''t be on my team sheet.
It is just you, yes.For chrissakes, he''s started what, two games? Get real!
 20.
I will be chearing when we are 1-0 down... because it will be one step closer the exit door for Delia & Co... and possibly might just see her exit in time for us to avoid the inevitable drop if she is still here at Christmas...  [:)]
Scum
 21.

We are all Norwich fans Shuck...and no you''re not naive..... It does seem however that a certain mentality within the said supporters are far too easily swayed and satisfied with second best.....and the minute this becomes "acceptable" and the "norm" we are lost....
Cluck, Surely this statement in itself is just another way of stating that those who disagree with your opinion are wrong? The club appoints a new manager, if it''s someone I rate but you don''t, I''m suddenly a fan who''s happy to accept second best and easily swayed...How is this the case??? It''s simply a difference of opinion, and if you just said that you didn''t rate the appoinment and didn''t think he''d do well because of x/y/z, then I''d have no issue at all, however when this opinion becomes fact (in your viewpoint), and comments of one form or another are made about those who disagree with it, that''s when people get frustrated, and often threads descend into petty name calling and insults. It''s not just your good self who does this, but numerous posters on the boards, and it can often de-value some very good points. Why on earth can we not have opinions posted which are simply that, e.g. "I don''t rate this guy because...", "I think the board needs to go because...", "We should play a 4-4-2 because..." etc? Instead we get "The board should have left years ago, the club is in the bin, we''re going down, and the wooly flock brigade are enjoying every minute on the happy coach with St Delia". So we''ve got an opinion voiced with no definition of why this viewpoint is held, and finished with an insult to anyone who disagrees, hardly conducive for open debating is it?
Because for some it''s about egos, not opinions...
 22. Doesn''t seem to be anyone admitting to booing. Anyone man enough to do so? Thought not.
 23. "When will be treated like adults on here ?"   When you start behaving like adults?
 24. Well said sir. I haven''t been on this board for a long, long time and I can''t believe the vitriol coming out of here and from some sections of the crowd, but at times it really is unnecessary. I just hope both the team and the fans give it 150% on Sunday, whether we win or not. Let the new era begin. OTBC
