1. SOUTHEND RES 0-3 NORWICH RES CITY''S young reserves stormed to a 3-0 win away at Southend thanks to goals from Andrew Cave-Brown, Kris Renton and Robert Eagle. The Canaries were 2-0 ahead inside the first half. Cave-Brown pounced on 28 minutes to slot in off the far post after fine work from Damon Lathrope, with Kris Renton doubling the advantage five minutes before the break with a close range finish. The home side came back strongly in the second half, and it took some resolute defending from Matthew Halliday and Alvin Quaye to keep the Shrimpers out, with ''keeper Steven Arnold also producing some smart saves. But the win was secure five minutes from time when Robert Eagle slotted home, completing a fine victory for Ricky Martin''s men. Norwich City Reserves: Arnold, Cave-Brown, O''Toole, Lathrope, Quaye, Halliday, Smart (Byrne), Bexfield (Kelly), Renton, Muddel (Miller), Eagle. Subs not used: Daley, McLean. --- Surely PG will have a headache to choose his team on Saturday with Cave-Brown scored his first Norwich reserve goal, also Renton, Eagle, Smart and Bexfield get some game under their belt. :)
 2. Mine is surely the 1-0 win at St. Andrews, that means Granty first game in charge. Can''t you believe it it''s the second time I travel to Birmingham to see us play in two years time, and so pleased Jason Shackell, my second favourite player to score the winner (of course later we found it''s OG by Sadler) for us! Brilliant! I just HATE BIRMINGHAM CITY!!!!
 3. I think it''s good for Chris to have some lows after he will so many highs in just 3 months, that''s life and a good learning curve to him, he must living with that.
 4. Oh mine! Brilliant! Brilliant! Brilliant! http://www.canaries.premiumtv.co.uk/page/News/FirstNewsDetail/0,,10355~1015850,00.html NEW AWAY KIT LAUNCHED ON THURSDAY CITY will be unveiling their eye-catching new Flybe away strip in an exciting launch on Thursday. First team players will model the new strip produced by the Club''s official kit manufacturer Xara - and we will bring you the first exclusive photos of the new kit here on www.canaries.co.uk. I love Norwich City!!!
 5.
please can you tell me why you love cave-brown so much?
Sorry mate that''s no favour for me to Cave-Brown, I just put the news on from BBC Radio Norfolk. I am sure other Norwich fans here had their own favourite players
 6. Honestly the comment is unfair to Grant. I would say let''s give him the pre-season in June and July, transfer mark from open until the end, first 3 months of next season also the League Run competition, then we can judge how good or how bad he is. Remember he just take up the job less than a year and I am impressed he at least take a look at young players unlike Nigel.
 7. I think we should restore some striking power on the bench? Earnie I mean, not really in the game by the commentary, although he may work hard to make space for teammates but a striker job is to score goal, not working hard. I also doubt about people said too much about not play kids on the derby, but did you think play un-fit first teamers in the team, would not be better than play the kids? I am not support we must play all the kids, but you should players who are 100% fit, not only commitment or enthusiasm. I don''t think Dion, Croft (injured again!) or Hucks training all week, Earnie did not start a game for three months, and Fozzy, miss 3 or 4 games and get a start? The youngsters had high confidence and energy in last few games, so why change it completely?
 8. Cave-Brown not in first 16 because he''s in a suit by Canries World LIVE commentary, I should think Dion and Hucks will start!
 9.
How about Chris Iwelumo from Col U? He''s had a good season, I hear he''s out of contract and he''d be a good partner for either Earnie or Martin...
We had a good chance to sign him because...he''s Scottish!!! ;-)
 10. Still brilliant and did a great job for us especially at the back, when he played with Jason, Jason seemed to be a better player. Honestly I think he can play, but just depends on did our board would offer him the contract or not. Okay he may say the family problem he concenred but hay he''s footballer and would love to play football, of course he love the city and want to finish the career. After the Iwan and Malky case a few seasons ago, I hope to board will make the "correct decision" this time on Dion...
 11.
Sorry if this is boring for some people but here’s an account of my visit to Colney today [:)] Got up there at 9.45am after persuading hubby to come along (he’s a Man U fan) and it was quiet and peaceful with only a couple of cars in the car park, one of which was lovely Hucks''s. I thought for a moment they had been warned I was coming up there and had moved training elsewhere to avoid me [:)] Bumped into Gunny who told me that training today and tomorrow had been moved to 12 noon to coincide with the game. Asked him specifically about Hucks, Crofts and Dublin chances of playing and he was confident that Dublin was ok, fairly hopeful re Croft but Hucks was 50/50. Also said that Hucks & Croft & Chadwick had been there since 9am having intense treatment. Went off to Wymondham, treated hubby to breakfast to keep him sweet and returned at 12 noon to Colney. Hubby stayed in car to read the paper ( was worried I''d embarrass him ) [:)] Players all came out and walked past the spectators (only 5 there) and several said hello with smiley faces and they were all wished good luck for Sunday. Then Dublin came out and even though I''m not usually shy I did have to push myself to approach him for a chat. I thanked him for what he had done for us this season and told him that us fans love him and thinks he’s been an inspiration to us all. He said that those words and the way the fans had reacted to him meant a lot to him and that he has enjoyed every minute of his time at our club. I told him to make sure that we beat the scum on Sunday and he said that he knew what it meant to us fans and they would be doing their very best, plus he said that he was fit and raring to go. Told him we''d love to see him here next season and he said he knew that and would make a decision at the end of the season. I have to say that unlike some footballers who seemed to chat but keep walking he had all the time in the world for me, looked me straight in the eye and concentrated on what I was saying. He came over as a gentle giant and he''s even more of a legend in my eyes now than he was yesterday. Took me about 5 mins to get over my chat with him but still had one more purpose in life and that was to catch Grant. He came out last signed a couple of autographs for kids and then I pounced [:D] I asked him to make sure that everyone of those players knew exactly what this game means to us and how to some of us its life or death, its pride and bragging rights and its humiliation for days after if we lose. He promised me that the players were in no doubt how us fans feel about this one and he himself is as passionate about this particular game as us and they would do their best not to let us down. He thanked me for taking the time and trouble of visiting Colney to talk to him.  Told him when asked that I don''t visit there very often, wouldn''t normally approach himself or players but told him I''m in an emotional state about the game and he laughed. Hubby appeared then and we both watched the training for about 45 mins, one thing that really shone for me is the team banter which was evident, especially from Dublin who was geeing the kids up and seemed to be the joker of the pack. This is what the state of play looked like to me from what I saw and what players were saying. Earshaw - nearly back to full fitness - is likely to start the game Hucks -  most worrying one 50/50- but with his guts and determination wouldn’t be surprised to see him start Fozzy - fit Dublin - fit Drury - fit  Colin - was training and is available to play Chadwick- didn’t see him but had told someone he’s nearly back to fitness and rates himself as 50/50 for Sunday - maybe on bench?? No sign of Lappin or Doherty so assume they are out, and Safri, Brown, Louis Jean, Marshall are definitely out too So could the team line up as follows? Warner Hughes/Colin ..... Dublin ..... Shackell .... Drury Croft/Chadwick .....Fozzy ..... Etuhu ..... Hucks/Eagle Earnshaw ..... Martin Must say I had a great time and feel much more reassured now that I’ve seen them in the flesh, heard first hand the team news and heard for myself the Grant passion for the club. Sorry If I''ve been a typical woman and gone on a bit but I know some of you will be interested and even if you''re not I know this post will make you all smile [:)] CMON YOU YELLOWS this is cityangel - Anglia news - over and out [:)]
BE HONEST WITH YOU, YOUR TRAINING REPORT WAS MUCH MORE DETAILED AND USEFUL THAN ME! IT''S GREAT GREAT JOB FROM YOU! VERY NICE!!! :)
 12. Honestly I doubt Chris Coleman will have a close look at our youth players, Fulham always love to spend money for players
 13.

''Darren also has been playing his part in the dressing room providing a new haircut for Jason Shackell... Nice one Hucks, I would like to see if Robert Eagle had the same head style with Shacks! ;-)
I have been campaigning for this for some time now. The guy isn''t doing himself any favour, especially in a derby...
I would think is the actor who is Captain Canary...
I''m not quite sure I understand what you mean. Does CC get lookalikes in to cover his holidays... [:$]
is the "actor who is captain Canary" Still Phil from the Ticket office/Club shop? jas :)
As I spoke to Phil in last October. he said...he retired sadly...:-(
 14.

''Darren also has been playing his part in the dressing room providing a new haircut for Jason Shackell... [:$]
Sorry, maybe I miss your first mention about Hucks taken Shacks hair out, and for the  Captain Canary, I wonder his "hands" (in the picture) was a pair of yellow household gloves?
 15.
Coz Hughes gave Granty some happy clappy lessons while Granty returned the compliment by showing Hughes how to point... They then devloped a mutual, close, bonding friendship...  and now Hughes is expecting to have Granty''s love child in November... Therefore Granty has to keep this excuse for a footballer happy and content until another couple of Shrek''s are born later this year.
It''s a good guess because Hughes was Scottish! Who knows? ;-)
 16.
it says he met her at school was it his teacher??
I doubt it because they said "long relationship" with her, you won''t your teacher had "long relationshop" with you...;-)
 17. I just received because of the delay post service during Easter Holidays, and find some very interesting issue: (1) p.37, Man of the Match against Stoke City, Darren Huckerby of course, it said: ''Darren also has been playing his part in the dressing room providing a new haircut for Jason Shackell. "I think Jason has come on since I shaved his head, he lookd like a center half now! I tried to shave Dickson''s head, but he''s too big, I couldn''t pin him down!" '' Nice one Hucks, I would like to see if Robert Eagle had the same head style with Shacks! ;-) (2) p.47, Soccer PM! Just have a closer look to Captain Canary''s -- hand! I would think is the actor who is Captain Canary, wear a "yellow colored household gloves"? Funny enough! Also I find that Captain Canary is wearing the shirt which we were in the Premiership! Not the current season on! ;-) (3) p. 81, about kit sponsorship What an error of the player''s number, becaise Youssef Safri was number 4, Jason Shackell was number 28, Michael Spillane was number 8, and Peter Thorne did not given a number! He''s empty! I think it''s the first time I saw the error liked that!
 18. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=1oZbkBbbBmU Hucks goal against Blackpool was absolutely brilliant!!!!
 19.
Just a thought - it may be that the Press are respecting his privacy? It''s something the regionals try to do, if not the nationals.... And no, I don''t have inside info - from my time as a journalist I would accept the need to take the spotlight off someone who had family worries. Celia
Agree with you Celia, on the other day I discuss with another fans about this topic about Colin, if he miss a game, that''s his job you know it should be important issue for his family members, of course we don''t need to discuss about it but will he come back on time this weekend?
 20.
I''d rather see Andy Hughes at right back than MLJ - he has apparently lost any pace he had since his injury which would leave us even more vulnerable.
In order of the ability: Colin --> Cave-Brown --> Hughes --> MLJ
 21. Depends on the injury situation, I think Dion and Hucks will play be honest... Warner  Cave-Brown  Dublin  Shackell  Drury Martin  Etuhu  Spillane  Eagle Renton  Huckerby sub: Gallacher, Smart, Earnshaw, Colin, Hughes
 22.
lets think for a minute. who would you rather see playing right back ? ?  ? hughes or ostemboor ??  not really a hard choice is it.
Cave-Browm for sure on my mind! ;-)
 23.
What were the family reasons for his absence on tuesday ? Can he play ''RIGHT BACK'' on sunday, we need his good defending against Ipswich, not Andy Hughes again ... please PG !
At this moment unless AH is injured if not, either Colin and Cave-Brown will not get a chance to play, I hope not but seems it''s the truth.
 24.
Do not accuse me of being negative but why are we so interested in a player than get into the Crewe team on return from his injury?
Crewe connection before: Mark Rivers: fail Dean Ashton: 50% fail Do Ostemboor be successful?
 25.
Its good to see some kids get a game, but not when they are making up half of the starting XI....  As ever a few injuries and we are in trouble due to our tiny squad size....  Who''s fault is that??
but if Croft, Huck and Dion doubtful on this weekend, it maybe the case we need to play half of the young players sadly
