1. It''s difficult. Obviously, the whole thing is hypothetical as there is no guarantee that the players from the two teams would gel, and because of that, I will assume the manager is Lambert to try and get the best from them ;)My pics:---------------------Green------------------------R.Martin-----Fleming------Barnett-------Drury-------------------------Fox-------------------------------------Francis---------------Hucks----------------------------Young Wesley----------------------------------Ashton-------Holt-------------------As good as Shackell was, he didn''t really hit form straight away. Fleming would go in for the experience.Tierney has been amazing this second half of the season, but for synergy, Drury and Hucks have to go together.Wes and Hucks in the same team would have been something had they ever overlapped, but I guess it just wansn''t to be.Some people have said that Deano and Holty are the same sort of player. I don''t really see that. I think they would have worked well together tbh. Wouldn''t that team have looked fearsome in the Championship?!
2. He only won POTS because of that goal against the scum. How Clingan didn''t win that year is anyone''s guess. Not sure if I''m right here, but wasn''t he one of the people who wanted to jump ship when we went down? If so, couldn''t care less. Wes stuck with us and look where the two players are now ;)
3. 1. Player - Mathias Jonson. Wha.... Ho.....Why?2. Goal - Kuqi''s last minute winner for Palace a few seasons back. He came on and was booed, then went on to do just what players do when that happens. 3. Match you''ve been to - Swansea away this season. 14 hour round trip on a coach with broken heating system. No-one to talk to on the coach as he was more interested glued to his phone. 3-0 loss... Bleh. 4. Manager - Roeder. Never understood the WH and Newcastle fans'' hatred towards him. Can now. 5. Captain - Fotheringham. Had a ''few'' good games for us when he had been out for some reason. But was by NO stretch of the imagination a captain. Would be anonymous for LONG periods of games. 6. Kit - The first Lotus away green shirt. I really did not like that kit for some reason. Also, the first Colman home shirt. What the hell was with the material?
4.
Sephiroth, Svenson''s goal was against Wigan and was absolutely superb, and was very nearly my own selection.  In the same game Hucks ran from his own half, took it around the entire Wigan defence and slotted into the bottom corner.   That game was on the Good Friday, and was followed by Reading away on Easter Monday, during which Mulryne scored following that fortunate deflection off referee Neil Barry''s a r s e... those two games combined was the point where I realised we WERE going to be promoted...
Thanks mate. I thought it was Wigan, but the 5-0 against Walsall had him scoring more than one, so there was more chance it was XDAlso, lol @ the ref in the Reading game.
5. My first ever away game. I remember 3 things about that day.1: It was bloody hot.2: I won 50 quid on the coach sweepstake thanks to a last minute Graham Branch equaliser.3: I thought I witnessed our goalie saving his ONLY penalty for Norwich. Turned out not to be the case, it hit the post. Stupid sitting side on level with the goal.
6. 1. Player of all time - Only been following football for 15 years... I would have to say Hucks. We were a different team when he wasn''t in the side. 2. GOAL of all time - Svensson''s goal against either Wigan or Walsall at home (The year we won Div 1). I can''t remember which team. He scored in the Barclay goal with a placed shot first time from the South stand corner of the penalty area. Superb. 3. Match you''ve been to, home or away - Norwich 4 Ip****1 4. Manager of all time - Paul Lambert 5. Favourite NCFC Captain - Holty-baby. 6. Favourite NCFC Kit - 2003-2004 Proton Shirt.
7. Third post in a row... Are all of the games mentioned played away from home? :p
8. Lack of edit=painful.Nope, seems we beat Wycombe 5-2... I''m stumped then.
9. I would say all of the games you have mentioned had 6 goals in them.6-0 with Fulham, 4-2 With Arsenal, I believe it was 4-2 with Wycombe too?
10. Nah. Was up against a prem side I suppose ;)Am I right in saying he got injured when we were out of subs or something?
11.
Mcdonald (did play in goal for us once ! )
...and I believe if it wasn''t for the shocking goalkeeper he replaced, we would have kept a clean sheet!
12. I was willing him on, on Monday for this very reason. Lambert needs to stick him on penalties, Free kicks.... hell anything that looks attacking! Maybe even stick him up front with Jackson XD
13. Great report as usual. It was nice to see Hoolahan back. The pressure he takes off of the rest of the midfield when he turns and takes 2-3 players out of the game is something we definitely missed against Swansea. I can''t comment on the Watford game as I didn''t see it.As for Surman, the thing that impresses me is the way he passes. He doesn''t seem to break his stride when he does, it all seems to be part of his movement which can only confuse opposing defenders.Nevertheless, another great performance and 3 VERY needed points.OTBC
14. Funny how they managed almost capacity crowds 3-4 years ago. Something must have changed which altered their decisions to go to the games.... Whatever could it be? :p
15. Just a quick update, mine is now taken. Just to save people the time pming me :)Also, wth is going on with the post buttons? I have to post the post 3 or 4 times before it posts......... post.
16. I''ve got a spare one too. Will be in Canada when the Pompey game is on, so it won''t be a lot of good to me :pPM me if you want it :)
17. Damn.... I have to go out at 20 past!DO IT NAO!
18. As I said, I''m going alone, so the coach trip will be odd for me unless I get a talkative chap/chapette next to me.Last away league game I went to was the 2-2 draw at Bradford the year we got promoted to the prem last time. Hopefully that''s a good omen.If I don''t get a chatty person, I suppose I''ve got my iPod to keep me company :(
19. Just got mine. Having to go solo as all my mates are lightweight and don''t want to make the journey!Apparently, there are only a handful of single tickets left.Looks to be a good following ;)
20. Hopefully, he''ll do us a favour and bring Holty down in the box in the 90th for a winning penalty.
21. 101. Managed to miss some sitters, including some current team members XD
22. Funnily enough, I was talking to my dad about this the other day.Seeing how most of the NFL franchises are on a fairly even keel (one or two who tend to be there or there abouts every year), it might not be a bad idea. However, the main problem you would have would be the way our leagues would then interact in continental competitions. It would seem very disjointed if someone like Exeter had a flukey season for some reason representing down that way (Geography isn''t my strong point) and ended up in the Champions league, only for them to get crushed by the giants of Europe and making England a laughing stock. (Nowt against Exeter here :) )The other problem, I guess, would be for the fans in places like London/Brum/Manchester who support one of the major sides only to find themselves booted out of the premier league as one of their rivals is picked in their place. However, as you said, it is an interesting idea.
23. To be fair, he had good support in Long who made sure we had plenty on him, probably giving Kebe more space than he should have had.But still, he was quick and made Ward look a mug a few times. Probably would have been a different result if he had squared that other chance where Ruddy made a good save up high.
