1.
haha is it april fools day??? i cant believe a couple of wins and he is a saint, have you named bank holiday after him yet?? seriously the wins you got were good but v.winnable for a team of norwich standard and obv he had to win the games so yes i give him  credit but to say he is one of the best managers in the division is ludacris dowie, mccarthy, robson, magilton, pulis, mowbray, bothroyd, pardew,  johnson, burley, holloway, jones - possibly   all the ones in 1st list have either gathered more points than you have since roeder, kept a low team up in prem, got promoted through a league, or doing well hell of a job give your reasons on how he is proved in the top 1/3 in this league? yes he doing good job for you, i wouldnt even call it a great job though and do you remember he got the most talented whu team relegated???
we8wba, I think you have to understand that from a Norwich fans point of view GR is one of the best managers in the league because at this moment in time he is the best manager for our club and our team.  Other managers in this league are also very good but maybe not good for Norwich.  Since GR has come in he has changed the place in a short period of time and lifted the spirts of the players, fans and the whole club.  Under Grant things were so so bad that to turn things around so quickly can''t be underestimated. I think your point is valid to a point but you could also look at it another way and say what have these managers you mentioned really achieved? With the exseption of Burley none have managered in europe and none have finished higher the Glenn in the Premership if they have even managed at the highest level and the ones that have, have also relegated teams so i don''t see your point.  Dowie - Relegated palace and did a bad job at Charlton (although not given enough time) McCartney - Awful manager, got the lowest ever Premership points total when relegating Sunderland  Robson - Another bad manager, relegated middlesborough after spending millions and millions, lucky to keep wba up one season before relegating them Migilton - Doing a good job but not tested yet, no experience and we aren''t even half way through the season Pulis - Boring hoof ball football, it just isn''t the Norwich way Mowbray - Very average, had the best team on paper last year and failed to get promoted Bothroyd - Good manager (came from Norwich) but still got relegated and unactrative football Pardew - I don''t like him but can''t argu with gettin WHU to FA cup final and 8th in the prem? Still relegated Charlton though Burley - SCUM  Holloway - Unproven, Unactractive football.  Funny guy not sure about great manager Jones - I think even you know that your wrong saying he is better than GR   Ok so we are going a bit over the top about Glenn but he is a good manager and his credentials are as good as, if not better than any other manager in this league.  We haven''t had much to shout about for last couple of years so just let us enjoy this while it lasts. COME ON YOU YELLOWS!!! OTBC
2. I think Carrow Road is a great sadium becasue although it is not the biggest it has character and atmosphere.  If you look at most of these new stadiums now they all look the same....Southampton, Leicester, Reading they are more like AirFix stadiums.
3. I find reading the message boards very funny and Smudger is a big part of that.  Yes he usually speaks absolute nonsense but I can''t understand why people get so annoyed by it.  If you don''t like what he has to say just ignore it because everytime you reply to one of his posts you are doing exactly what he wants
4. Got to say that I wouldn''t want Klinsman as the England manager either.  It wouldn''t stop me watching England because they are my country and I will always support them no matter who is in charge.  Germany and the Argies are our biggest rivals in international football and it just wouldn''t be right having a German player turn Germany Manager become the England boss.  It would be like having George Burley as the Norwich City Manager.......it wouldn''t matter how well he did, it just wouldn''t be right
5.
agreed!  i know a couple of spurs fans and Gary doherty is a bit of a cult hero down there..
A lot of my mates are Yids and your right The Ginger Pele is a bit of a cult hero down at The Lane but not because he was any good.  I had to put up with weeks of abuse when we signed him because they were so happy to see him go.  Even now they still laugh at me when ever he is playing with predictions of how many own goals he''ll get this season.
6. I''m not to sure about the board at the moment, i can see the point of view that a lot of money has been spent on off the field projects which would be better spent on players on the pitch.  I believe that you have to find the right balence because football is a business now and you can''t soley plough all your money into the team wether you like it or not.  The major mistake the board made was the appointment of Grant, he is the reason we are in our current position not the board.  They gave him money and he went out and got players in, but he bought cr@p. Thats not the boards fault.  It appears in Glenn that they have now got the right manager and in January I am positive they will back him in the transfer market.  They won''t back him with millions and millions because we simply don''t have that kind of money but they will back him with some.  Now look at the teams that came down with us, now they are doing better in the league at the moment but not that much better and its not even xmas yet. Both Palace and Southampton will have to sell before the they buy unlike us.  We will buy before we sell.  When it comes to wasted money imagine how the Southampton fans feel with all the money they bought in through player sales Crouch £7.5m, Walcott £12m, Bale £5m, Baird £3m, Jones £7m plus others and they are very close to administration unlike us. I don''t want to go on about Southampton but they had protests to get Rupet Lowe out which were successful in the end.  Now they are starting to relise that the grass isn''t always greener on the other side.  They have no money a very average squad, attendences falling and no investers either and they are openly and public seeking investment which they can''t get.  Our crowds are still good, the squad is looking like it is coming together, we will have some money to spend, we have potenital investor in the Turners and we are on the up.  Maybe thinks aren''t so bad..........
7. I think this all depends on who and how many people we can bring in over the transfer window.  We shouldn''t be looking to lose any players until we get more in, we have smal squad and we don''t need to make it smaller. I would definatly keep Big Dave as we paid good money for him and he has yet to be given a proper chance in the team. A lot of people on here are saying get rid of Lappin and Murray but both are good squad members because of the different positions they can play within in the team.  They will allow GR to deal with injuries and suspensions which will arise from now to the end of the season more effectivly.
8. I can''t wait for tomorrow as i think it is going to be the start of our season. We can def win the next 2 match''s and with some confidence in the side we can climb out of this situation COME ON YOU YELLOWS!!!!
9. Yeah we''re a great advert for non foreigners..........we''re not in the premership, we''re bottom of the league and we''re about to be relegated to the 3rd teir of the english football league.  Great advert for english football that is, i really can''t think why the likes of Arsenal want all those foreigner players?Winning match''s week in week out must be a real drag What are you talking about?????????
10. Firstly let me start by saying that I am as gutted as everyone else about England failing to qualify for the Euro Championship but I want to try have a look at a positive side to this failure. For years now the England team has not performed to the standard that is exspected considering the players we have.  We have struggled to qualify for every major tournament as far back as i can remember and when we are there it has just been a comedy of errors which eventually leads to us getting knocked out earlier than we expect.  Lets face it, if we had of qualified last night it would have papered of the cracks of what a bad team we are. I look back to Euro96 when we didn''t have to qualify and Venables had a series of friendly match''s where there was no presure to perform and he was able to experiment with different players and formations.  This lead to a very success Euro96 where we played the best football i''ve ever seen us play.  I think this is now our chance to take advantage of this disappointment and bring in a new manager who wants to bring in fresh faces to the england team and with fresh ideas.  He can play a bunch of friendly match''s and gel a team together without the presure of having to qualify for a Euro or World Cup campaign We now have an opportunity to make us a force in football again What does everyone think?
11. I agree with a lot of what you say hear Tumbleweed! Gerrard is the most over rated player I''ve ever known.  I''m not saying he is a bad player not by any means but when he puts on an England shirt he always fails to perform (fact).  I can''t think of a single match for England when he has taken the game by the scrough of the neck and put in a performance anything close to the way he plays for Liverpool.  I disagree with your comment about the pen, Gerrard was right to let Lamps take the pen because he is the England penalty taker and has time and again for club and country shown how good he is at doing this.
12.

Another good addition to the Canaries Squad. With a Fully fit squad, i can see us rising out of the relegation zone quite quickly. Anything above 10th this season will be a great start to the Roeder Reign.
We don''t have a fully fit squad, and won''t all season, we have won 2 points in 33.  A 32 year old Championship defender not renowned for his defending ability signs on loan for a month and a half and you are talking about a 10th place finish. Get a grip mate, 22nd should be our target and not going down. And again only to put things into perspective and not ion any way dissing the new manager, glenn''s start to his norwich career is 1 draw 2 defeats, 3 scored 8 conceded!  Talk of 10th place is ludicrous at the moment.
Couldn''t agree more.........10th...........what crazy dream world is this bloke living in?  If Glen keeps us up this session he has done a great job. The signings he has made so far have been good and while I don''t know alot a about Mo Camera from what I have read and given the Dury situation it is a good piece of business which by the sounds of things could be made perm in January. Well done Glen, now get Quashie in to sure things up in midfield and I think we will start to climb the table
13. This would be a great signing for us and if we stayed up he might might be tempted to make it permanant. I''ve watched Quashie quite a lot when he was playing for Southampton. As a Premership player he is average but put in the Championship and he is a class act.  He will bring some much needed creativity to our midfield.
14.
Fantastic... are we becoming Newcastle Reserves???? Am sure the usual crew will be singing his praises before he has done absolutely anything for us.
Why do you have to be so negative all the time smudger??? GR is doing the best he can to bring in quality and from what i''ve heard there is no doubt that Matty Pattinson has bags of quality.  Great Signing!!!
15. Of course we can beat Watford tonight, I''m not saying it is going to be easy but we are at home and if our fans get behind the team like we did on Sunday there is no reason why we can''t produce another great performance and take all 3 points this time.  I predict a 3-1 win for Nowich
16.
--------------------------------------Marshall-------------------------------------- -------------Shackell----------------Taylor-------------------Murray-------------- Otsemebor-----------------------------------------------------------------Lappin ------------------Chadwick------------Brellier------------Russell------------------ -------------------------Cureton----------Dublin/Strihavka-------------------------   subs:Gilks, Hartson, Croft, Smith, Spillane
I think this looks like a very good team to put out and i think it could work really well but i don''t think there is anyway it will happen.  GR will stick with a simple 442 system of: Marshall Otsemebor   Shackell   Taylor   Lappin Croft   Brellier   Russell   Chadwick Cureton   Strihavka Subs Gilks, Hartson, Smith, Murray, Brown Hartson would start if he could last longer then 30 min but he can''t so there is no chance of him starting.  He will come on as a sub if things aren''t going well as will smith.
17. I''m happy.......i think???  We were never going to get Jewell, probably the best of a bad bunch
18. When I heard the news this morning I felt really disapointed that we had signed a manager who at best can be describe as average, but what else could we expect??  Dreams of Jewell coming to Carrow Road were pie in the sky.....IT WAS NEVER GOING TO HAPPEN!!  Yes the board have taken a cheap option but he does have Premiership experience which has got to count for something and given a chance who knows what he could achieve with us. Now is the time to get behind the manager and hope he is given some money to go out and bring in some half decent players to get us out of this current position.  If he keeps us in the championship this season he has done well. Lets at least give the guy a chance
