    He was not injury prone during his long loan at Swindon. Hopefully recent injuries are bad luck and he will come good in the future. The from what little I have seen of him he looked good and the manager must think so as he was given a new contract.

    We do not set up well for set pieces. Its been the case for a long time. I think a specialist defensive coach is needed.

    I don''t think that our set pieces are good enough in defence or attack. In defence we do not have enough big blokes. In attack we could vary it a bit more to get people into better positions because in many cases the opposition are bigger so we have to rely on moving people around and changing things.

    I think its just a blip . Remi did well on loan last season.

    Maybe we could do a swop with Naismith . He cost us £8M, Rhodes cost them £10M. Naismith + £2M. Seems fair.

    If you look at the wages in the SPL they are very low particularly if you discount Celtic and rangers. 1/4 his wages is more than most earn at Celtic and almost certainly more than anyone at any other club. That is one reason Scottish football is so poor.

    I hope that the reason we are not playing Raggett is that he does not play the ball out of defence as someone suggested. Duncan Forbes never did and he was a legend. I Remember John Bond criticising Roger Brown for that on what was I believe was his first home game for the club and the best defensive display for Norwich seen in months. He had replaced Phil Hoadley who had been playing out of position in central defence. Hoadley never played the ball out of defence either but that was because he was out jumped and out muscled and hardly ever touched the ball. The first duty of a central defender is to clear the ball away from danger. We don''t know how well Raggett can do that yet. I would have thought that the last few matches where others were not fit would have been a good opportunity to find out.

    It has to be Marley Watkins for me. His record on paper looked good. I had no hopes for Jarvis so he could not disappoint. Any show from him would have been a bonus.

    Why does Tettey say he is not in control. He can control his decision given to any offer. He pays his agent so he is in control of him. The agent is not in control, he is a paid servant.

    They need to keep one or two players up at corners or free kicks to allow a quick break. It will not lead to conceding more because the opposition will have to leave someone to mark them.

    The traffic is getting worse everywhere. We live on a small overcrowded island on an overcrowded planet.Too many people, too many cars.

    I hope this is not one we come to regret. I have not seen him play but from very good reports it seemed that he could have a bright future. Rangers think so . Unless there is some overwhelming reason we don''t know about it seems very puzzling to let him go. It would not have cost much to keep him for another year; play him pre season , league cup , out on loan then decide.

    Getting back to Hampton canary''s original point. Yes we should leave someone up near the half way line at corners . I totally agree and have said it myself. The opposition would have to have someone to mark him so would not leave us outnumbered in the box and it would give us an attacking outlet. Most other teams do it and I don''t understand why we don''t.

    It''s a common clause that Prem teams put in to make sure the loaned player gains experience. If a loan player is fit and does not play the loan fee is three or four times greater.

    Ideally I would have liked keep both Pritchard and Maddison as there was an outside chance that now they and others are back from injury there was an outside chance of making the play offs. Can''t happen now as our best player has left but there should be no immediate financial need to sell Maddison unless it is for very very silly money. I would rather Klose Jerome or Olivera go before Maddison.

    Not Archants fault we sold Prichard. I think if he hadn''t been injured thanks to Cambridge and had played every match he would have been worth an extra £5 million.

    I see nothing wrong with a well behaved fan celebrating so long a it is not OTT or gloating . I know of someone who has a shares in a season ticket syndicate at his workplace for Liverpool and Everton. Different people go each week and people can watch their own team when they play on Merseyside. It has been working fine for several years. If people are sensible there should not be a problem. I have been to a Cardiff- Norwich game with a friend who was a Cardiff supporter and we went to a "safe " stand away from the more vociferous supporters. No problem.

    It is possible to over train and become fatigued. Its a difficult one to call as the optimum will be different for each player. Jonathan Edwards only became world number one at triple jump when he reduced his training schedule. Lets hope they get it right at NCFC.

    The average wage in the SPL is about �145K per year. If you exclude Celtic (700K) and Rangers (350K) its about �100K.

    Bill Punton. That was many years ago. 50+ ? I can remember seeing him play a few times but I was quite young and don''t remember much about him. I think players are generally quicker these days though.
