  1. No sympathy whatsoever Long term highly paid contracts, this is hull, how stupid can you get?
  2. ********BREAKING NEWS*********** Norwich city football club announced this evening that there would be a full investigation into rule breaking. All those that ran onto the pitch to celebrate the club becoming champions would be traced and be subject to a banning order along with those that stood while watching the game. They are also to trace and ban the 3000+ plus supporters that stood at last weeks away match at Charlton and Ignored the stadiums announcers request for them to sit down. They further announced that they are to ban all singing at the stadium next year, clapping at appropriate times will be allowed and are considering installing electronic dummy boards so that the fans will know when they are allowed to clap. This policy is to come into force after a number of complaints about singing from supporters in the N&P and Main stand the main complaint being that these supporters can not hear themselves moan.
  3. No I didn''t go, I live 200 miles away and i''m far to old for running on the pitch but would certainly not have a problem with those that wanted to
  4. Did you see how many Bournemouth fans were on the pitch VERY NAUGHTY BOYS!!!! I think they should all be banned but then again that could mean them having an attendance of about 25 next year You really are a sterile bunch get a life !
  5. Give it a rest, whats the problem a few people ran on the pitch so what!!!! Every other club does it, we used to run on the pitch every year at the last game years ago. And if you think people running on the pitch was going to stop the players coming out afterwards you really are Ni eve

  10. Heresyourfathersgun Do you not know the difference between 2 gangs wanting to have a go at each other and people bullying women, children and family''s and picking on Individuals minding there own business, and top it all norfolk police wanting to blow smoke up their own backsides telling the press what a great job they did
  11. I would have expected some comment from NCISA chairman on the shambolic policing that put people at risk on Saturday. So what do you have to say on the matter Mr. Tilson? I agree rock the boat Maybe its old pals and all that, doesn''t want to upset the wrong people you know how it goes
  12. Looks like the Archant police are busy mixing one thread with another. The point of a different thread was not "trouble after the game" but how the police can delude themselves by thinking they have done a good job and in doing so insulting all those that had to put up with what went on yesterday
  13. Thought it deserved its own thread, I suppose it just goes to show how out of touch they really are. Might be good in your eyes Jim Smerdon but I think your paying public see it a little differently Police today welcomed a job well done as their “most challenging” match of the season at Carrow Road passed with relatively few arrests. There were sporadic skirmishes before and after the top-of-the-table Norwich City v Leeds United clash, but Supt Jim Smerdon of Norfolk Police said officers were “on top of the situation”. His comments were challenged by some Canaries fans, who criticised the decision to allow the Leeds fans to leave at the same time as the home supporters, and said some of the behaviour they witnessed from the Yorkshire followers was “intimidating”. One fan, who did not want to be named, said: “We sit in the River End and came out about five minutes after the final whistle. As we approached the Jarrold Stand it was clear the Leeds fans were being let out. “No police were present and Leeds fans were picking off the city fans as they walked past. I saw a grown-up Leeds fans spitting at a 10 year old and his dad as we walked past. “It must be 15 years since I''ve felt so intimidated at a home match. Why the police felt the need to let them out as they had just lost in the 90th minute is beyond me.” Another fan, writing on the website carrowroad.net, said a woman and her four-year-old had encountered a group of Leeds fans in Dereham before the game. He said: “A few of them walked across towards her shouting and swearing at her and the terrified little lad. On getting back to her car she had to spend 30 odd minutes trying to persuade her boy to go to the game as he thought he was going to have go through it again. Sadly that was the case as she walked to the ground right near Carrow Road.” Supt Smerdon said: “It was a top-of-the-table clash that was very significant for both teams. It was always going to be passionate and Norwich scoring in the last minute did not help us. “It''s fair to say that the game attracted factions from both clubs that we don''t want to see at football matches.” He added that there were “six or seven arrests” and said: “There were some policing challenges. But we were up to the challenges on the way in and on the way out.” Supt Smerdon defended the decision to allow the Leeds fans to leave at the final whistle, saying: “Holding fans back is a tactic that has to be pre-planned and needs extra resources. We have to balance it against the safety of the fans in the stadium.” There were reports of confrontations between fans before the match on Prince of Wales Road and outside the ground immediately after the game, but he said the incidents were “very short”. Police were called to Dereham to deal with “rowdy behaviour” after 200 Leeds fans arrived in the town before the match, with one coach breaking down nearby. Many congregated in and around the Red Lion pub on Quebec Street, where officers were sent as a precaution in case of any trouble. But a spokesman for Norfolk police said no serious incidents were recorded and no arrests were made. He said: There was some rowdy behaviour but nothing untoward was recorded and they all got back on the coach when asked.
  14. Would be interesting to see what''s in the papers about this tomorrow, or whether the Norwich police will keep things hushed up to protect their reputation... NORFOLK POLICE A JOB WELL DONE http://www.edp24.co.uk/content/edp24/news/story.aspx?brand=EDPOnline&category=News&tBrand=EDPOnline&tCategory=xDefault&itemid=NOED28%20Mar%202010%2014:00:07:953
  15. Living away I didn''t go to the game yesterday but from what I have read it seems a bit like the dark old days. If a few "boys" want to have a go at each other then I don''t have to much problem with that but women children pensioners and family''s being abused is just not on. I notice that the resident board x plod has been a little quiet regarding his opinion, your comments would be appreciated. I now see the police are calling this a job well done (see link below) http://www.eveningnews24.co.uk/content/eveningnews24/norwich-news/story.aspx?brand=ENOnline&category=NewsSplash&tBrand=ENOnline&tCategory=xNews&itemid=NOED28%20Mar%202010%2014:00:07:953 I would suggest anybody that thinks differently write an email to the norfolk constabulary and then copy it to norwich city leeds utd and Archant After all we cant have them thinking they done well yesterday

  20. I think we are sort of getting off the point of the thread here which was related to ct''s comments However I will clarify i am not a Delia hater or lover I think she has done some good for the club but i also think we need a change! we are in our position because of some bad choices some of which have been called by many on here, not everybody is going to agree on anything but from what i have seen there was not to much shouting about thesse decisions when they were first made. Yes we have lacked funds but we all know that delias willingness and/or pockets are not deep enough
