Excellent point Pranston Bickle. There''s no point splahing out £3m on Ashton if for every gaol he scores (we hope) we conceed one the other end. The question is do we have any cash left, although we have room for another loanee Any thoughts.... I like jaghelka (spelt wrong but the Sheff Utd Centre Back) although he might cost a quid or too. Henchoz is still floating about and might be a suitable loan target but his wages might be a problem. Who else is out there, Harry Rednapp seems to have bought every premier league defender not currently playing!

Ashton and Henchoz! Yes Henchoz he could do a job for us and is currently seeking a Premier Leagur Team too! with NW cheek we could probably get him for 250k wages might be  problem but worth a try! Ashton is the ONLY answer to our goal problem why waste money on anything else!

You seem to forget parachute payments Quality players will get you back in the premier league if you go down and keep you init! We have Quality players, Green, Huckerby and Francis and I am sure we could and psossibly will sell these players if the books do not balance i.e. Green MC your thinkin is totally inline with the board and it is this kind of mentality that will always keep Norwich down. Now is the time to apply causious speculation! p.s. There are no Dragons ouside of Norfolk!

Buy Quality Not OKish

Lets face it we need quality or nothing We need a striker and centre back who can help us avoid relegation and do the same next year and thereafter. If we do get relegated then these players need to have the potential and quality to get us up next year and then keep us in the Premiership. Why buy some 500k OKish player who we will need to change out later on i.e. Scowcrofts, Zamora''s etc...plus we have the additonal burden of their wages. Buy Quality Example:- "Huckerby done exactly what its says on the tin!" Buy Okish Example:- "McKenzie we now need to buy another striker!" We need a couple of others and time is not on our side. Buy Ashton 3m get relegated then sell him for 4m!

Unfortunatley Fleming at fault for the second goal this is becoming a common theme! So Why? Templeton what people want and what people get are two different things 1.5m is a fair price he wont go for more than 2m..its worth a try The reason people band high price''s around and say there interested in certain players is to keep the prices up so teams like Norwich are priced out of the market when in fact they have no intention of paying that kind of money.

Swap Doherty with Jagielka from Sheff utd and a little cash 250k Dean Ashton from Crewe for 1.5m Let Helveg go to Odenese on a free or a 100k and get someone half decent in on loan.... Petit etc... Every team needs a good spine

I believe Jagielka would be a good buy and with Sheff Utd sniffing around Doherty we could do a part exchange!

A Striker - Dean Ashton £1.5m (may have to dig a bit deeper) and A Center Back - Gabidon £500k We definatley need to strengthen these two position. If we buy just a striker we will still leak goals so this will counter act any advantages of having a new striker. We need both or niether Worthy will need a min of 2mil to spend though, Better to spend £2m wisely than £1,2 wastefully (more choices are realistic with Worthy''s budget)

Leicester have signed Arsenal goalkeeper Stuart Taylor, 23, on loan. This could become a permanent move, this will create a place in the squad for a new goalkeeper..... just speculating but the timing before the Jan transfer window would suggest Arsenal are in the Market for a new goalkeeper..... and who better?

The lad has been here before so knows the area if he''s not getting regular football at Chelsea then we should put an enquiry in. We still have room for another loanee Then we can spend Worthy''s war chest or vase! on a striker and decent centre back.  

My thoughts exactly...... If Greeno goes it has to be GOOD Buisness, how much is staying in the premiership worth....more than 4million thats how much and at this moment in time Greeno is earning us the points, he doesn''t look out of place at all actually on his present form he would''nt look out of place in the Haarlem Globe Trotters.... so we have to be honest and be aware of the threat of losing him to one of the title contenders However with 4 or 5 million would we swap Greeno for a Striker, we have Ward and Gallacher the question is? Greeno v Ward or Gallacher plus a 4 million striker?

OK, I too need something to keep me focused so lets start a list of potential targets per position... to be honest we need a Striker and possibly a Midfielder and Centre Back. Our new centre back will be Jonathan Fortune. Unfortunatley we will have to wait until Jan to get his signature. NW has already enquired about his availibility and now that Linvoy Primus has signed a new contract with Pompey the Charlton centre back has become NW No.1 target. Fortune wants First Team Football and Curbishley cannot Gaurantee this. Unfortunatley Fortune will wait until the Jan window and if he is not playing first team for Charlton, Norwich are not rock bottom of the prem and no one comes in with a silly bid then he will be NW next signing. The fee is expected to be in the region of 500k rising to 750k with the usual add ons. Can we survive until Jan with our current centre backs? Is he worth the wait and money

Dean Richards is rubbish! Santos is better! Spurs had a shocking defence last year plus he is injury prone..... he''s NO BETTER than the Mighty Malky. Please NW don''t waste cash, wait, be patient buy some class. Rather buy a Div 1 player with potential like Gabbidon from Cardiff or Jajelka from Sheff Utd(however you spelt)

Why do we need a 3rd Choice Goallie? We have an England capped number 1 The Scottish Goallie as number two Chances of long term injuries to both is low So, I hope he is not thinkin of letting Greeno go in January to Raise funds! £4m from Arsenal would it be worth it to help secure Premier League Status?
