  1. With a modern professional footballer, quite possibly.
  2. The latest post from him on Insta is inconclusive, but could suggest he's just been to the smoke for another scan or whatever.
  3. As they say oop here Nutty, "stop nebbing Glad luv, does you no favours". 😉
  4. The problem with Sheeran is his continued used of tape loops in his live performances. It's restricting and as TGS says leads to vacuous songwriting. He really needs to be banned from such restrictive practises and made to play with a real bunch of musicians to loosen him up. Other than that, why a Halifax born bloke is living in Suffolk and supporting those spawny binners makes no sense unless you are wanting to make as much money as possible from your short lived career. It smacks of living as close to the smoke for commercial reasons only. If he had bought a place elsewhere in the home counties he would be doing the same for, Oxford Utd, say. This makes me question his true feeling for the binners and his wider motives. As for Saturday, I'm just looking forward to the comedy gold their fans will bring to proceedings. "Ah noooo, not again!" 😉
  5. Hmm, what do you know Nutty that us others don't? Someone only asks such a question (with apparently new information) if they already have inside information. Spill the beans Nutty!
  6. I've reported on here a few times that I see him as a future LCB. He is good in the air, quite physical and like Kenny I think he prefers seeing the play in front of him. As many have complained he is not the quickest of full backs, so I would expect a coach can manage the transition. I watched him in a match when he was on loan at QPR where Beale played him in this position and he played really well, the extra responsibility placed on him (rather like again with Kenny) seemed to bring out a more positive positional sensibility. However, there has been zero sign of this being considered at Norwich, so what do I know? I predict that in a couple of years time we'll play whoever he has moved on to and he will play an absolute blinder, having whoever we have up front in his pocket. #ACN
  7. Wow! Finally. And he was like this far too often during our poor run. But no, never can this ever be said against our Kenny. Until now ... I wonder what I was watching back in those dark days, when every game he played like he did on Saturday? 🤔 I feel vindicated at last. 🙂
  8. "simple fact is Leicester have a bigger budget and have better players and probably better coach & coaches!" And why should that be? They were no different to Norwich really in the 70's to 00's. Just another provincial city football club, the odd good season, but actually (apart from Weller in his white tights) never really outperformed us. Then they looked for an overseas investor, found one and got lucky, one who had no previous connection to the club and everything changed. Quickly at that. And a legacy has been built. Makes me ponder our respective recent journeys, anyway. 😉
  9. He was awful today. I think Wagner had a go at him, so he had no choice but to say what he did. Today, Kenny was everything that I said should mean he should not be a regular starter. Unless he starts as a LCB. Hope those who have names him POTS are still happy with their choice.
  10. Nutty, all Wagner's deficiencies are still there. Poor today. Is it the beginning of a losing streak, or just a one-off misread? I hope it's the latter, but this is Wagner and he has a track record of long streaks either way.
  11. Woeful tactically from Wagner. Kenny back to normal ineffectual self. Barnes wasn't interested but he should have been pivotal, no sign of his so called experience whatsoever. The set up had McCallum and Stacey too narrow, losing our outballs. It was horrible to watch, glad I had family commitments and couldn't watch in person or down the pub. Awful. So, is it beginning of another losing streak, or just clearing a last poor performance out of our system?
  12. No more of that Kenny - otherwise you will feel the wrath of my bombast! Come on City. hold out. Get forward again, don't sit back.
  13. I can see them getting a man sent off, and then our game going totally to pieces.
  14. I remember watching a local derby, Sheff Utd v Rotherham. Rotherham had Will Vaulks in their side, who had a very good long throw. He was applying a lot of pressure, and had placed a towel close the edge of the penalty area on both sides of the pitches to dry the ball. Wilder spotted this and sent one of the ball boys round the edge of the pitch to throw said towels as far as he could throw them into the stands. Vaulks turns up for the next throw and spends about 30 seconds looking for the towel, to be greeted by a stand full of fans telling him to **** off with his cheating! It's a funny old game.
  15. Nothing seems to have been learnt from Home Park about their ability to win the ball in thier own half and breaking through our midfield like a knife through butter. Awful today again.
  16. I've obviously been posting on here too long! 😉
  17. As well as Wagner mentioning he was back on the grass, Argos also mentioned in one of his recent videos, that he was now training outside, which you could see pissed Argos off a bit as that left him alone in the gym for most of the morning. At least Argos has got rid of his boot! Also in Argos' video was a brief shot of Sargent running on the "treadmill in a vacuum" machine. It's going to take a lot of work to see him last the season.
  18. Trouble is, whatever we sing, someone will always come along and **** it up improve it! 🤣
  19. OMG. 🤦‍♂️ When I first raised the issue of a lack of corporate governance at Board level, little did I think it would end up in this sort of a civil trial.
  20. Ah, but what if it were a metaphorical banana skin, not a real one? Does what you say still count? 😉
  21. Don't forget Matty Patty! Countless others in the years before that. The archives is a good read in that sense. One day perhaps someone could list out all those players who were detained at HM pleasure whilst donning the old yellow and green. I'm a bit busy right now but may get around to it one day. It could be my first book and would make a good fund raising project for The Nest; righting the wrongs of the past by funding good things in the present!
  22. Careful, LYB. Define high crime area? Lots of people who live in very well to do locations snort coke, smoke weed, probably have done illicit deals at work and paid backhanders to people in cash to avoid tax and to get a job done more cheaply. I'd argue the value of those crimes far outweighs the value of crime in the areas you are thinking about. And, I say it again, the majority of those lads were brought up in areas which definitely are NOT high crime areas by any reasonable marker! That is why, and here I agree with you, the parents of, and the players themselves, are so pissed off about! If Webber did mistakenly link these players to being brought up in a high crime area (however defined) then as head of the institution where they were in effect placed in his care as vulnerable youngsters whilst in receipt of training that is a massive failure on his part. And thus indicative of an institution that is not managed effectively. This calls very much into question the status said institution enjoys from its major funder. And again I ask people on here, are they at all concerned about the Category 1 Academy status the club enjoys and do they not see why it is very much now under scrutiny, if not being threatened with the loss of said status? Even if this doesn't result, potential players who may not have given the opporutinty a second thought will be wary of joining now. After all it remains our major advantage over similar clubs, especially the Binners. Thankfully Knapper seems more interested in doing his job, so my "hysterical" fear should not come to pass. However, I'm sure the FA will be putting the club on "notice", and the recruitment team are going to have to work that much harder to sign young players from the hinterland of London. Corporate governance hey. Yawn! Means diddley squit in the real world! 😉
