1. I think we have some double standards going on here. On another thread, I suggested a couple of strikers from Bristol and Brighton and was lambasted and told that they would never sell to a promotion rival. However, the same posters are suggesting we sign players from the same clubs. You know who you are.
2. Player power, agent might and more chance of PL football. Simples
3.
Kodjia or Dembele for me, we need to show our teeth now if we want to move on, both these forwards still need development and are raw, lets nip in there and get one before the bigger fish come in and sit them I their reserves. But either one could score 20 goals next season, IF we get the service right and that''s where we have to get midfield right. An all round athletic central player to sit alongside Howson is essential for me, O''Neill did ok and better than we all imagined, Tettey, not for me, lacks the technical nous to make us a sure fire top 2 team. Not many come to my mind. Oh just a bit of news, Dorrans likely to be on his way....
Looks like I am not the only one with the footballing sensevto know what we need. The other posters just reinforce the lil old Norwich mentality and want to keep the image of a club for people born and living within a 2 mile radius of the ground.
4. It was an open question to anyone who reads this board. You replied and confirmed your maturity status as well below a normal adult. Thank you for the entertainment. You are the gift that keeps giving.
5. We are much more likely to be able to offer these players premiership football sooner than Bristol City or Brighton. If we are interested then their agents will broker a deal like Bournemouth did with Grabban. Our wage structure is higher than both of those clubs so that would be the carrot for them. The transfer fees are realistic valuations based on their current stages of their careers. Hamed is 29 and it would be his last major contract.
6. We will get automatic promotion if we dont panic and put the radio man in charge again. We have a proper manager who soon adapted to this league last time and almost got automatic promotion from a dreadful position with more than half the games played. I think we will lose Brady but other clubs wont gamble on Klose until he proves his fitness. If we keep the vast majority of our squad and add two strikers and possibly a CB then we will be more than fine.
7. I was referring to the cliqueness of this messageboard. You dont get sarcasm do you ?
8. No other clubs fans would want to post on here or even read the posts.
9. John Kodjia from Bristol City and Tomer Hemed from Brighton are exactly what we need - big strong centre forwards with a good goalscoring ratio. We are surely a better and bigger draw for them than their current clubs. I reckon £5million for Kodjia and £2million for Hemed would do the job and make us favourites for promotion.
10. As a certain football philosopher once said, "Now then young man, you are only as good as your strikers" I am sure we are saving our wad for two strikers to fire us to promotion. If we had better strikers at the start of this season then we would still be in the Premier League.
11. Bournemouth have a super rich owner who doesnt mind paying 50% more than the real value of players in order to recruit. I doubt they will be a Premiership regular for many years and will probably be relegated in 16/17 season.
12. We had this with the palarse fans earlier in the season moaning about away ticket prices when their own clubs charge more than ours. Total and utter hypocrisy.
13. You are missing and don''t understand the point here. Man city only have these players because of publicity stunts from their mega rich This. They have to charge £20 per ticket to fill their ground. Norwich dont have rich benefactors and hence have lower quality players. Seat prices are all about demand and supply like most commodities. If you won''t pay the price then plenty others will. I run my own successful business and you have to maximise profit otherwise you go bankrupt.
14. The Etihad stadium charge £40+ for an away fan because Manchester is a poor area and their fans wont pay it. If they charged £40 per ticket then they would only get 20000 there like they did for donkey''s years before the oil barons turned up. The away fans pay the wages of Ageuro and Toure. Fans want these types of players but arent prepared to pay the ticket prices to pay for them. I even suggest it could be double standards on their part.
15. Man utd and even little old chelsea didn''t have this problem. Maybe their fans are better and more passionate?
16. I bought my two on Friday and they haven''t turned up yet. I bought my Chelsea ticket on Monday and it got here today. Anybody had their Leicester tickets yet?
17. Technically speaking, Stokes was out but I think in real time he was protecting himself. Imagine if Broad had thrown the ball back to Smith or Maxwell and they were given out then even the Aussie PM would have had something to say about it. After the Aussies had their bellies tickled in the Ashes and their slaughtering by the press down under, they are back to their "win at all costs" mentality. Yesterday''s decision has set a dangerous precedence in future games.
18. I renewed my priority membership just after the play off final. I have an email receipt but no new card through the post yet. Anyone else not had theirs yet ? OTBC
19. His first name is Dave. His surname escapes me but I think it starts with G.
20. I dont know any fan from London can complain about other clubs outside of it. There has never been a more overated and hideously overpriced place than the capital. I paid £52 for the play off final for an average view of a one sided game. Was it good value for money ? No. Did I regret buying the ticket ? No. If the regular Palarse fans dont want to travel then I am sure that some of their casual fans will. How do they think a £10 million player is financed?
21. Great post Ricky and thoroughly agree with all those points. Business is all about supply and demand. The game will be a sell out. You see these arguments in all walks of life. For example, people pay the price for German cars because they are the best made and most desirable. Premier league football is where it is at. If people dont want to pay the price then go elsewhere. They will be plenty of takers for their seat.
22. Hull are just bitter at being relegated and us taking them to the cleaners last summer. I dont see a queue of clubs wanting to sign him either. He would be a solid player but not a matchwinner like Holt or Snoddy No player wants to play in the Championship. These bids will turn his eye and he will soon ask for a transfer. I think £3.5 milllion plus £500k add ons will be enough to get him.
23. As anyone who has played the game knows that you only know how the game is going to go once both teams have batted on it. I think Anderson will rule the roost in English conditions. Boycott moment over.
24. His parents or carers should really stop his posting this drivel. It is very degrading to him and he needs protecting from himself. He clearly has issues and it is not funny to laugh at him because of it.
