1.
I don''t think it is much help when some of the more...how shall we say it...''stupid'' members of a lovely fans are already out for Lambert''s blood having deposed a club legend. The idiots on Radio Norfolk this morning were a frigging embarrasment - ''Whut as ee dun?  WHUT AS EE DUN?!''
It was always going to happen, he was brought in on a sentimental wave of emotion and was destined to go out the same way. As for the Tribute, well it is a bit much IMO.
 2. Presume the sceduled protests will now be cancelled and all of NCFC supporters will now just concentrate on supporting new management team. Last thing that needs to greet him is a protest.
 3.
Who or what is a ''Football Operations Manager'' ? Gary Karsa held that role at ColU.
Whatever it is , looks like we might be getting one.
 4.
Why ''desperate''? Sorry, I don''t understand your point. What would you rather? They asked for permission to speak to him and then meekly accepted a ''no''? If they were convinced that he was the man for the job (and whether he is or not, only time will tell) then as a Club we have FOR ONCE gone out and got our No. 1 target, from another Club, and very quickly at that.
Very impressed with the club identifying their target and going and getting him, it''s a long time since we did that. NOne of these pointless long interviews.
 5. New start so let''s just get behind the new management team. He hasn''t even started yet so let''s just see shall we and he has worked well with limited budgets at both Wycombe and Colchester.

If you are really lucky you may get a "Christmas Special" to tie in with the relaunched Christmas recipe book but, again, that won''t be filmed from anywhere near the Doncaster Road.
She might have sneaked away just to speak to the Scunthorpe people, or the BBC thing is just a front for her clandestine activities.
I''d be surprised if Delia had anything to do with the new manager negotiations. Surely that''s the Chairman and CEO''s job? She and MWJ may well attend the board meeting to draw up the shortlist but (a) the interviews wouldn''t take place in Scunthorpe and (b) she wouldn''t go on her own.
No she wouldn''t. It''s amazing what people can convince themselves what they have seen sometimes
 7. He''s had one dose and don''t think he would come back for another.

At least he is out of a frame he was never in.  Bet he wishes he''d never wasted money on buying a house in the area.[;)]
It''s a bit of fun though. As you say he should never have bothered with the house but somebody must have the same number plate as Mr Coppell, suppose SC is pretty common.

 11.
Ha ha ha Sideshow Tim. That will certainly never happen. Oh deary me! His next step is a Premiership side for sure. Peterborough are now miles better than us and he would have to be mad to give up a team that is going places, swapping it for our shambles!
Yes he would have to be mad and he isn''t.
 12.
I almost begged in these Forums ages back not to hold interviews but to target your man and by legal avenues bust a gut to get him ! As I said that''s BIG club mentality ! Those damned interviews just helped pick out the best orators, full of verbal football talent and devoid of football managerial ability. Peter Grant and Glenn Roeder could have talked themselves into any job of any kind, neither could have been selected on their managerial achievements. So fingers crossed we now get a man of some proven ability because we want him and not just because he''s available, and hopefully stop this remorseful parade of loser type people who have cost us dearly both financially and status-wise !
Well said sir never thought we would ever choose a manager this way. Robert Chase did so and he picked some good uns, just made a mess of it when he got them.
 13.
This is probably why BG was only given 1 match. It will allow the new manager to bring new players. Its make or break time now.
Financial situation is supposed to be dire so where are the going to get money from to bring in new players?. Already have 12 new ones. Any manager is going to want to bring in his own players so presume there must be very large rabbit to be pulled out.
 14.
The ''old board'' appointed Gunn, the ''new board'' spear headed by our new improved Chief Exec, Mr McNally fired Gunn... This shows he has no confidence in Gunn & lets be honest, he should never have been appointed after relegation. I have absolute confidence in McNally & I''m convinced he''ll appoint a manager capable of achieving promotion this season.
Need money for him to bring in players. We''ve just signed 12 on contracts so if new manager brought in then there must be some money somewhere.
 15.
There is about 1% of me that hopes there is a masterplan behnd this and that we make an amazing appointment or it is the harbinger of something good but the other 99% agrees with you BBB - panic. What else would explain it - a new contract, the biggest influx of players I can ever remember and then sacked after one game.
There MUST be a masterplan or we are in a big mess again.
 16.
Coppell is my top pick too.  He did real good at Reading.  His name will also help for new signings. I don''t think we need to play direct football to get out of this league.  The only question is his price tag!
Where is all the monwy going to come from to bring in new players?. We have already brought in 12 on contracts.
 17. Can we afford to sack Butterworth and Crook?. If we can and appoint someone else then can we afford the the new players and staff he will want to bring in. Is there a manager out there who has a good enough track record for us to want him?. Will anybody wish to come after the chief ex said last week that our financial situation is DIRE?.
 18.

re hoolahan at the yeovil game - did anyone else notice how he pretty much grabbed the ball to take the penalty, and didn''t exactly celebrate when he scored it - i thought it seemed he was determined to get on the scoresheet to put himself in the shop window. anyone agree or am i reading too much into it?
Did notice lack of celebration yes. Signifacant?. Maybe.
corr; significant.

 20. Just to make it clear. HE''S JOKING; HE''S JOKING; HE''S JOKING; HE DOESN''T MEAN IT; HE''S PRETENDING.
 21.

i would like that too .. but dare not say it loudly ..don`t forget your only a true supporter if you want us to lose every week and don`t turn up to games [:D]
Totally wrong PW, you saw last night on here why I don''t advertise whether I can make game or not, I like my teeth where they are thank you, I still attend Carrow Road when I can, so lets get that bit right shall we?
"  your so vain you probably think this post is about you  "    [:D]
Who sung that song?
Carly Simon
 22.
It''ll be someone really tenuous and boring like Gillingham away or something, as is always the way.
Think it has to be a Prem club or top 15 or so Championship. We are not seeded.
 23.
I''m sure if we were drawn against Ipswich he wouldn''t put out a second choice team!
He has already said he will and if he says he will then he will no matter who they are drawn against. They are seeded I think so it could happen.
 24.
Im a Cardiff fan. What we have seen of him so far, he has been brilliant. He only conced 2 goals in 6 games in pre-season, both againt Valencia. And hes yet to concede in the league as of the clean sheet against Scunthorpe. So far he looks a bargain and is keeping Peter Enckelman out of the team comfortably. We havnt had a settled keeper since Neil Alexander and we are hoping this is our man. God luck in the league. Hope you stay up. It makes me wonder if you would have conceded 7 with Marshall in goal mind
Believe you are right he is a very good keeper and you have a decent defence no doubt. No goalkeeper could have coped playing in front of our defence. Am sure he will do well for you.
 25.
I was going to say Colchester at home to get some revenge but they are out....funny how things change. Next best thing a home draw against the scummers!!
Shouldn''t wish that as it is on a hiding to nothing playing their 2nd choice eleven which Roy Keane has said he will do again in next game.
