1. They should have never got rid of the psychologist, he is a must at a place like this. In fact two of them wouldn''t go amiss considering we have over 30 pro''s.
 2.
If memory serves he said if he lost the first five games he''d be off....
Where on earth did he come from in the first place?.
 3.
Surely the only way that you can talk like this, is when you have achieved something as a manager. Even then it is probably wiser to keep your views to the dressing room. Glenn Roeder found out the hard way that you should not make public statements of this nature. The last manager to succeed without staying quiet was Brian Clough and it is doubtful that he would have the same success today. Carl Heggs reminds me of  the former Orient boss, John Sittern (Query spelling) who was featured in a famous TV documentary years ago and who opened his Gob so much he disappeared shortly after, never to be seen again.  I really hope that Kings Lynn succeed, the club seems to have a habit of nearly making it, only for something to go wrong. I would also love to see Carl Heggs succeed, he really is entertaining isn''t he!
Except that Clough never pulled his players to pieces in public. You would think this Heggs bloke would know that doing so will not exactly endear him to the players, he really hasn''t got a hope has he.
 4. and we thought Glen Roeder was bad. You would think someone at the club would tell him.

He''s not the right sort of player for us, he spends too much time on the ball and just slows things down too much. He can''t defend, just like Mr Huckerby, but at least Hucks had an end product. Any money is good money in my opinion.
This so brasses me off. We had people on here saying Croft and Marshall were hopeless and we should let them go only to find them replaced by players so lacking in quality it takes the breath away. Who in hells name do you think we are going to bring in that will be better than Wes? Having the money is no good. Look what we have done with the rebate cash!
The same is being said about Russell. Darren Eadie said after the 1st home game that we have got in Div 1 players to replace Championship ones and we have almost completed it if Hoolahan and Russell go. The quality has gone down.
Because we are a League One team. Darren Eadie needs to wake up and realise that - as do you, it seems.
I am not suggesting that it wasn''t inevitable that we would have to get in Div 1 players. What I am inferring is that a lot of posters are saying that players such as Croft, Marshall, Hoolahan and Russell are not good enough and they should have been got rid of. I say they were better than what we have got in. Thought you would have understood that.

How does Lambert get rid of players under contract, except by buying out their contracts (with money we can hardly afford)? It will perhaps be interesting to see which players he has in mind, and how quickly they go. Candidates: McV, Curo, and one or two of the youngsters.
At Colchester he just froze them out and/or sent them to train with the youth team.  He usually calls them in and tells them to get their agent to find them another club.  Whether he will do things differently your end I cannot say but I''m sure there will be a number out of the door.  He cut the Colchester squad and does not like working with a large pool of players.
Does he have Roeder tendencies then?.
There are similarities, yes, in my opinion.  In terms of his own decisions he has the same sort of arrogance - not a bad thing in itself I suppose.  You can either call it arrogance or confidence in your own ability.
You may or may not remember what I thought about GR well before he left, we had altercation about it once. Not round in circles I hope.

 9. A lot have left ( or been returned) at beginning of summer and more have arrived and now some are to leave because we have too many. Never a dull moment. Wonder if there will be a new club photograph at end of transfer window.
 10.

I would agree. I allowed myself to be optimistic. I wouldnt say that I was optimistic about being top 6, I was optimistic that all of the right choices seemed to have been made and that we could look forward to actually competing in this league. All I like is to be able to entertain the hope that we have a chance of promotion. If I am really honest that hope remains but it is diminishing. The writing is clearly on the wall now and if some major changes are not made at the club then we will become stuck in a rut. Yes I would like to see new major investors such as owners, but how realistic is that? I would also like to see a change in the mindset of some of the fans, again how realistic is that? I am not saying that these fans are the reason for our predicament but take it back eight to ten years when we had average gates of around 15/18k and Carrow Road was a possitive pot of energy - the fans backed our boys no matter what the score, I remember us playing Palace and loosing 3-1 but coming away from the stadium not dejected but illated that we had outsung the palace fans throughout 90mins even when they scored. The fans couldnt have given it any more. I also remember the play off final season which was where the gates started to turn around, we had a pretty poor sqd back then and yet as in seasons running up to that the boys were still backed. It seems that the vibe players used to enjoy may have evaporated from the crowd where the attitude used to be to cheer the boys on to the win to where we are now where the boys have to win to be cheered. Its rather sad as I doubt very much a visiting Celtic crowd would ever say that we gave as good as we got vocally against them again. Apparently football is a form of entertainment now and not a sport. Its a shame, I dont really like opera but it seems most people think sitting at a live game is just like watching it on TV. Just sit there all cozy and cheer when we score.
The vibe players used to get has been replaced by an oversized wage packet paid irrespective of performance, effort or result. Allegiance is determined by the size of the wage packet that the agent can negotiate. A few years ago you could see players in the pub on a Saturday evening and they would talk to you. Now players think they are superior beings.  When you talk of crowds of 16-18k these were the days when you could buy casual tickets and those that went wanted to attend nowadays (because of a clever marketing ploy) you can''t be certain of buying casual tickets so the majority buy season tickets probably with less revenue generated than casual tickets. We will cheer when we see effort expended and tactics employed that merit cheering.
I wouldnt say that our players are now on oversized wage packets. And even if they are so are all footballers so is it an excuse to stop cheering? As for the casual nature, you are probably right. With more season tickets people feel like they have an obligation to turn up to watch as they have already paid. However as I said, its not one thing that is wrong with this club, its all over. Fans that behave like toddlers standing cross armed saying I wont support the players until we see something good and the board making poor decisions in an effort to get those arms unfolded. Some would say that we deserve each other.
And then we hear Lambert say the first team squad needs to be slimmed down, so how many will go before theend of the month
A lot left in summer and then a lot more arrived and now more to leave, all in the space of a few months. Never a dull moment. Wonder if there will be a new club photograph at end of transfer window.
 11.

People keep on saying how they''ll up and leave if the club does ''x''. I''m not sure I believe any of them.
Surely the evidence is in how many did not renew season-tickets. While I have not stopped supporting the club, I have decided to go less often due to the releasing of Hucks and the selling of our better players such as Croft and Clinghan, and selling Wes just further reinforces and justifies my decision even more.
He hasn''t gone yet and I certainly hope he doesn''t go.
 12.
I had on very good authority 2 weeks ago that Wes was going nowhere in this transfer window. The appointment of Paul Lambert has certianly not changed this. Wes has a lot of respect for his new Manager as he gave Wes the opportunity to progress to a higher level, so i am reading into this that there is nothing doing. Why would he leave to go to Swansea and another Championship relegation struggle. IMO they are nailed on to be relegated this season.
Did the authority suggest that the reason for him not going anywhere in this transfer window was because the club did not think that the offers put in for him so far were high enough. Alternatively, does he just not want to go?.
 13.
As he showed with Blackpool he is a player who can propel a club to promotion.  Looking at our squad he is the only player with that capability.  Given the clubs aims to get promoted this season or else how would selling him help?  It would leave a big gap. Hoolahan is as much of a dilemma as Hux became - how do we accomodate him?  If Lambert is any sort of decent manager he will find a way...
Your last sentence I believe to be spot on but not too sure Hoolahan really wants to stay and play in Div 1.
 14.
Hoolahan is/was the last player that may have sperarated us from the majority of clubs in this league, without him we have NOTHING left in the team to suggest that we are any better than the run of the mill league one team, and therefore have no right to be talked about as a promotion contender, this is the final nail...
If he does go I too fear that it is the final nail. Yes he does separate us from the majority bacause he has the vision and skill that very few will posess at this level. I cannot see him staying here as he is much too good for this level. I just hope the players we have at the moment are better than I think they are.
 15.

Crook as next Norwich manager must be highly likely now. I think he''s got it in him.
Only if we''ve just appointed another expensive mistake and in 12 months time find ourselves looking for another fall guy. In 4 or 5 years after an apprenticeship proving himself as a decent coach...perhaps, but if it''s anytime soon it''ll probably turn out to be too soon imo. We have no real idea what Crook has to offer on the coaching side. OK, he''s rated pretty highly in Aussieland but you can''t read too much into that. Football isn''t the same game there, they don''t even call it football. Of course, it would be great if as a coach he can pass on some of the magic he displayed for us in his playing days, but can you coach that?
" we have no real idea what Crook has to offer on the coaching side". Exactly, we don''t have a clue but so many come out and talk about him as though they have some insider knowledge as to his worth as a coach.

 17.
“We believe there has been a breach of League regulation 20, so unless compensation can be agreed, we will go to tribunal,” said U''s chief executive Steve Bradshaw. “We are six figures apart in terms of compensation at the moment. Well there either is or there isn''t [:O]
If only life in the world of football was that simple.
 18.

Has someone just woken you from your nap? Have you put your teeth back in?
I''m sorry, but as someone who isn''t even involved in this debate I have to say that I find your comments deeply offensive. I''m guessing that you are a young person, who considers himself witty, but  you will, one day, have to come to terms with the reality of heart problems, cancer and so on. It might all seem a bit of light hearted fun to you at the moment, but until you''ve had to sit by hospital bedsides holding the hands of friends and relatives while they die slow, painful and undignified deaths you really won''t understand where I''m coming from. For the moment I will give you the benefit of the doubt, but I strongly suggest that you apologise and desist from this line in future.
Will second that. It''s very sad that some have to resort to this sort of rubbish but guess it takes all sorts to make a world.
 19.
Well I would guess that our club must have sought legal advice before going ahead with this, so what will be will be.
That appears to be going to cost the club between £350K and £600K. If the figures being banded about are correct.
 20.
Kind of a cheap plug here, but also a vehicle for more Lambert discussion. Here it be: http://www.pinkun.com/content/pinkun/blogs/step-into-the-flash.aspx Pretty much sums how I feel about the past couple of weeks. Furthering on from what I wrote in the blog, I have to say I think Lambert can at the very least make us stable and get some consistency going with us, something I think Gunn was close to achieveing until the tragic events of the 8th of August. Now, forgive me for getting ahead of myself here with only three league games having passed, but I believe under Lambert we at least have a shot of keeping up with the pace in the play-off race. If we don''t wind up getting straight back up to the Championship I won''t deem it as a failure just yet. After all, Leeds and Nottingham Forest were earmarked to head back up at the first time of asking and they didn''t do this. If Lambert requires a second season to build his team up not only will we stand a better chance of getting back up the the second tier next term, but when we do actually go up we''ll have a much stronger squad that can easily finish mid-table in that league once things off the pitch have potentially been resolved. I believe McNally will definately strengthen things off the pitch and the partnership with Lambert could do this club wonders. I just don''t know if it''ll happen overnight. I can''t stress enough how much we need to beat Wycombe on Saturday though. Lambert needs a good start to get people pulling behind him rather than trying to call him out on not being qualified to do the job. I believe he is, but like all jobs one needs a couple of shifts to get settled. He''ll probably need more than a couple of shifts to get things sorted and bring in his own players because no manager will be keen to have to manage with players that have been brought in by someone else. So long as he gets promotion he will be OK, if not then it will probably be bye bye. Let''s all hope he does it but it is a big ask.
 21. Or they could always make a few up like the tabloids do.
 22. Give the lad a chance, he''s new to league football and the last couple of weeks haven''t produced the best background for any player to perform let alone one who has just arrived from non-league.
 23.
oh well there go this years restaurant profits, about 700,000 according to the torygraph
There''s always the Rebate money which could be transferred across.
 24.
Shola scores for fun in the Championship. Just think if Glenn had been supported in bringing him to Carrow Road. How different things might be. sigh
There was a problem with a hamstring injury wasn''t there. He had medicals here and at Ipswich and remamber GR saying he wouldn''t be going to Ipswich " educated guess".
 25. The new manager is useless as he''s already watched one game and we still lost.
