1. Steve Bruce''s comments after the game Saturday suggested they were only aiming for 35 for safety.
2. The 4-4-2 we played Saturday wasn''t a traditional one like Spurs are now playing under Sherwood.  Gutierrez isn''t a ''chalk on the boots'' type like Huckerby for example, he often came inside to support Johnson and Fer, so much so there were a couple of times he came inside so much he was on the right wing with Snoddy!
3. We''ve been linked with him before in the Sun (yeah I know it''s only the Sun!) and Hughton does seem to revisit the same target if he doesn''t get them first time. There could be something in it.
4. If he''s sacked this weekend then it would be unlikely that we would replace him within a week. That would probably mean Calderwood would be in charge for Palace. Just think about that for a moment.
5.
So is this what happens around here every time the team loses? Could get tedious.
Just wait till we win a game though, it''ll be all ''europe here we come''!!
6. I think it will just take a long time for them to warm to Hughton again. We''ve seen it many times in recent years with the likes of Russell Martin, Ruddy and Turner last year. Once someone has a black mark against them it seems to take a while to shift it.
7. Agree that Wes will drop to the bench, but hasn''t Fer been playing in the hole in most of pre-season? I think we will see Fer/Howson/Wes at some point just not very often.
8. If Lopez is instead of Quagliarella, then the quoted figures are cheaper. Maybe that then allows us to go back in for the Senegalese chap, N''Doye was it? Or someone else more proven than Hooper.
9. I might have missed it, but which players have supposedly said Holt''s a nasty piece of work? Doesn''t quite fit in with the number of well wishers there have been on Twitter tonight.
10. Should we all be going to meet him off the plane??
11. I thought Bradley Johnson spent a lot of last summer in America with a few other players from around the leagues on a training camp they set up between them. Didn''t seem to do him any harm during the season.
12. Hadn''t Vlaar already turned us down while Lambert was here because he had never heard of us? And I thought most of the groundwork on butterfield and Snodgrass was done before Hughton arrived, so would have been here anyway. Hughton just gave the green light to them.
13. The players stayed behind after the game for the away supporters party. Nothing untoward to worry about.
14. Just a warning to people, especially those with young children. This weekend''s pie choices are 3 cheese, potato & onion and, you guessed it, peppered steak! May be best to leave the little ones at home. Sounds like there could be a riot on Saturday!
15.
I am a little downcast about the spirit too. That''s what winning and not-winning does to you. Playing out goalless draws doesn''t give you confidence...! Football is about winning games... But it''s so hard to tell, 1 win could put everything in a whole different perspective...but after watching saturday''s no-show...where do you guys think the win will come from? A 90th minute own-goal..., something like that...
Where did you think the win was going to come from before we beat arsenal? Hughton''s made us hard to beat again and we''re now on an unbeaten 3 game run. We''ve turned the corner we just need to take a chance or two in front of goal. Once we do the confidence will start coming back.
16. Can''t remember where I saw it but they are keeping hold of him and Biglia untill the summer as they r top of the league. Then they won''t stand in either of their way if they want to move.
17. Wouldn''t be surprised if it was our end to show Celtic if they don''t accept our offer we will shop elsewhere. They can then decide if they want to risk having to accept smaller bids in the summer or hooper leaving for free in 18 months.
18. Have you tried the ticket office? I know two people that got some first thing yesterday morning. One got two seated tickets but not together, the other got one on the terrace. Don''t know where the club has got them from, possibly returns, but guessing they don''t have many especially as they don''t seem to have advertised them.
19. Bargain rack? Hope his wife don''t read this. Maybe it''s a good job he''s out of the house a lot over Christmas!
20. If it was just a case that I was too late I wouldn''t be annoyed. However I went to the castle mall store and while queueing myself and the bloke in the queue behind me were told that they didn''t have any tickets left there as Peterborough couldn''t get enough printed in time. There were some terrace tickets left at carrow road but they would be getting more in so I thought I would just leave it until Monday. If I had been told that there had been such huge demand I would have gone to carrow road to make sure I got one.
21. They went on general sale Saturday but when I went to get one before the game they had sold out. They did put me on a waiting list though so I''m guessing they''re seeing what interest there is before they decide to take the larger allocation.
22. The one thing Roeder''s reign should have given us is an extensive knowledge of the loan system!Aren''t loans to/from foreign countries technically full transfers with a buy back clause.  When we had 7 at once we could play the maximum 5 plus Lupoli if I''ve remembered correct.  So Atletico would have to recall him and Liverpool would have to buy him back at the originally agreed price, presuming we couldn''t then just buy him straight from Atletico.
