1. Hopefully he can win the Barry butler trophy. Can''t believe he hasn''t won one yet.
2. Just out of curiosity, why do most people here rate pritchard so much higher than Bamford? Both had good seasons in the championship the year before last. Bamford ripped our defence to pieces up at Middlesbrough and for me was just as effective as pritchard was in the game at Carrow Road. And then both failed to make any impact in the premier league last season. Why is there such a clamour for us to sign him? Would be a bit of a risk if you ask me, unless there''s something I''ve missed.
3. I''m sure he''ll get all the licks he wants down in Brighton!!
4. We usually go with just two senior keepers when we''re in the championship, as we can take advantage of the loan window. I''d think should ruddy leave rudd will become number 1 with kean deputising.
5.
This is just one of a possible resolution... find a player and say to him "we''ll break the wage structure to bring you here, if you keep us up we''ll sell you to Chelsea/Man City/Liverpool" he spends the entire season shop windowing himself. We stay up, sell him, do the same again.
Haven''t Newcastle been doing this since Ashley got there? And they''re in an equally perilous position.
6. Has anyone started a NCFC related PS4 community? If not would people be interested in joining one if I created it? Feel free to add my psn ID too. It''s the same as my username here...chrisr1606
7. I''d been hoping after the man city away game that we might play 3 at the back more often. The 3 cbs would give us more protection through the middle, and still be able to play two up front with Wes in the no. 10 role. With 2 wing backs we wouldn''t lose out on any width to what we currently have as all our wide players seem to be told to tuck inside anyway.
8. I''d just written on the ''what''s gone wrong?'' thread but fits here as well... I wonder if Neil himself expects too much. He hasn''t so much as named names, but he has constantly bashed the players in post match interviews, even when we''ve won. And yes, a lot of the time the players deserved it and it''s refreshing to hear some honesty. But you also need to play the game a bit. Players now are delicate little flowers and if their egos aren''t massaged they simply won''t put a shift in, never mind battling against the odds when your backs against the wall. It''s something I''ve always wondered, even last season. I fear it has become the case and now Neil has lost the dressing room.

10. Paul101 wrote: "people are forgetting bamford and play on the right or left of midfield as well" That''s what I thought. I can see bamford playing more on the left side of the front three with Neil preferring Brady at LB. Gives us a lot more pace on the counter and was where bamford exploited us for Boro at carrow road last season.
11.

Just a hunch KIO, but I suspect it is the opening round of negotiations. I have never heard of any transfer being concluded at the first turn. If you were happy to accept £8m for Grabban, then you will wet your pants if we get , say £10m in the end.
If anyone parts with £10m for Grabban they''re clearly a sandwich short of a picnic.
If McNally swindled £10mill for Grabban, you''re damn right I''d wet my pants, I''d be absolutely p1$$1ng myself. I don''t care if it is opening round or not. No point holding out for an extra bit when they''re offering stupid money for a useless waste of squad space. If someone offers you £100 for a post it note, you don''t try and wait it out in the hope they offer £120. Take the money and run!
But then you have to ask yourself...why are they offering so much for just a post it note?
12. Juan Velasco needs a mention. Didn''t Roeder haul him off after 20 minutes in one his brief appearances?
13. Maybe my memory''s playing up but hasn''t Tettey been injured every Christmas he''s been here. Two seasons ago he seemed to be developing a good partnership with Fer only to get injured before Christmas and then Fer got injured just before he recovered.
14. Yellows is shut two days of the week. You would think it shut on those days for a reason, but opening for 7 days and generating income and profits on all days would be a start.
15. I wondered if Jacob might start featuring more should another winger be required. I thought he was linked with a loan to Preston a few weeks ago but it never went through
16. I just saw him trying to get into the rock shop on regent road in yarmouth
17. Sure, although we''ve got a problem with the doors at the minute so just climb over the gate near the hotel and I''ll meet you in there, ok?
18. Just in case anyone''s ticket says 10:15, the coaches are actually leaving at 9am. Time confirmed on club''s Twitter. (and yes I know, cue all the usual comments about club cabbage!)
19. Can it not just be that from the club''s point of view that we are happy to have Ricky in the squad, however he is one of the higher earners so we are going to be open to any sensible offers.  While from his point of view he''s happy to stay and prove his quality because he likes the club and likes the city and has taken to it, but does ultimately want to break into the Dutch squad so needs to be playing at a higher level.  It just so happens that a sensible offer for both parties has come along for both parties so discussions have taken place.
20. I can''t remember who''s interview it was in this week but they were saying that training at a higher altitude was paying off.  Wolves certainly aren''t going to be getting that benefit from the look of those fixtures.
21.

My only worry would be if too good to refuse money comes in late, not leaving enough time to get the replacements in.
But then if you don''t have a replacement lined up, and its going to leave the squad dangerously short, its not "too good to refuse" is it?
I''m not saying it''s going to happen, it''s just that the goalposts change so quickly.  If the board accept a £10m bid for ''player x'' then I wouldn''t blame them.  They may think at the time they can replace him with ''player y'' for half the price.  But then Sky have reported it as £15m by the time the deal goes through, and ''player y'' suddenly costs twice as much because they know we have extra money.  Like I say it''s not a prediction but similar things have happened in the past.  It''s just a niggle I have in my head and I will just be far happier once the window closes!
