Middle class Guardian reading type doesn’t like something associated with England! I’m shocked I tell you!

Middle class, you do make me smile sometimes. Not intentionally I hasten to add.

I read The Sunday Times by the way.

As usual, do try not to let the facts get in the way of a post😂

  2. Sorry if some of you think this should be on the dark side of the forum but with the Euros coming up I think it matters. Here is a link to a video of the Polish players singing their national anthem after the game in Wales. The Wales fans singing their anthem before the game was amazing.

Do these people really have more national pride than the English? I think England needs a patriotic anthem about the country and not the Royals. Football matches are sometimes won by the narrowest of margins and it might just help to unite behind a song.

Probably wouldn’t be their worst tactic. Kick him off, get somebody else in then go straight to the polls. The new leader can (sort of) distance themselves from all the past goings on and campaign solely on future plans.

Obviously they’ll still get a richly deserved kicking, but it may be enough just to give them a small bump and a few more seats. They’re only going further down under Sunak

It wasn't long ago that the Conservative MPs looked around and decided that Sunak was the best of a bad bunch. He probably still is.

Things would obviously look a bit different if Johnson hadn't kicked the most gifted out of the party because they were Remainders (including Rory Stewart who is probably the most intelligent politician of his generation).

Brexit got them in the end........

Just because the struggling economy and poorly performing NHS are currently more important issues for more voters, that doesn’t mean it’s wise to continue with our current immigration policies that a majority disagree with.

You're really struggling with this aren't you? It's a concern to a minority of voters.

I'm so sorry I touched a nerve with the other comnent🙄

I think there were some recent polls that suggested this may actually make things worse- there is no standout candidate, anyone with a long term ambition to lead the party wouldn't want it because of having the stink of an election hammering attached to them.

You're quite right. It's alarming that there are any Tory MPs who think this would be a good idea. It would be the political equivalent of bringing in Neil Warnock with 8 games to go.

I listened to a political commentator yesterday who explained why he thought the election would be in early October. Apparently the support for the Conservative Party in the 18-21 age group is currently around 1%. I thought this must be wrong but apparently not. So rather than working out why young people dislike them they will instead pick a date that makes it as hard as possible for students to vote. They see no problem with this because Boris did it and proved it works.

So there we have it, one of our 2 major political parties has just about hit rock bottom.

Apparently one of the families wants to take him to court. I actually hope they do as I'd really like to see how this plays out in a court of law.

You would like to see this in court. How exactly do you think that would benefit Norwich City?

If you had an ounce of common sense you would be hoping this goes away as soon as possible.

If there's no suggestion, there's no justification for the question.

If that's an indicator of autism you should consider a bit of soul-searching yourself, as I've yet to hear any suggestion from yourself that you might ever be wrong about anything.

Why do you think he said it then?  You seem to struggle quite a bit with this sort of thing. Do you find it a bit overwhelming when the vast majority of people disagree with you?

    What a stupid suggestion.

The whole thing has been blown massively out of proportion.

Err, read it again. It wasn't a suggestion, it was a question.

Do you think that Webber may be on the autistic spectrum?  One of the symptoms of autism is an inability to accept that you're wrong and everyone else is right. This may be a very difficult question for you to answer

  9. Arguing whether or not it was a racist comment is to a large degree irrelevant. I think it clearly was but that's just my perception and other people see it differently.

I have yet to see anybody say it was a sensible thing to say, in fact I'm sure 9 out of 10 would agree that it was stupid and unnecessary.

The big question is, did Webber's comment make it more or less likely that a talented young black player will sign for us. I'm absolutely certain that it will make it less likely and as a result the club and its supporters will ultimately suffer.

The only other question is whether or not Webber deliberately set out to damage the club.

Friday Albania, Tuesday France. Friday Carrow Road, another game Monday. That's a bit of a tight schedule, with getting on for ten hours flying involved.

He might well need to be on the bench or even rested for the game against Plymouth?

I suppose we should be grateful he didn't have a 17 hour flight to Chile this time.

It would be good to give him a rest with Leicester and Ipswich coming up. We could play Sorenson there but I have a nasty feeling Wagner would move Sara and weaken 2 positions.

The battle of the seafaring folk  - Nelson v Drake. Norfolk v Devon

Another seafaring chap from Devon was old Wally Rayleigh. The man credited with inventing the potato, and the cigarette.  Sadly he had his head chopped off. The very axe is still in the Tower of London, and is known as the Raleigh Chopper.

Their shirts were originally a harlequin pattern, giving rise to the name Argyle.

It should be noted that the distance from Plymouth to Carrow Road is around 340 miles and a straight 6 hour journey - (they'll be lucky it being good Friday) so every respect to those who make it up to our fine city. Great supporters, the backbone of any club.

Maybe some might be staying for a few days  "here's three nails, can you put me up for the weekend"

Would you mind awfully putting your feet together? I've only got one good nail left....

  12. If you want to see a proper football match with 2 great national anthems watch Wales v Poland instead.

Is this a good time to start the national anthem debate again? I suggest either the Archers theme (Billy Connolly suggestion) or Bohemian Rhapsody with Jack Grealish on air guitar

It's never bad to review such situations from a personal/humane level as most are doing.

We shouldn't uphold morals on the basis of how it affects business, so i'd be far more disappointed if people were taking this approach, personally.

Will you change your mind when you see a headline that says '16 year old wonderkid signs for Ipswich'?

Sorry to disillusion you but money makes the world go round.
