  1. I know you find this difficult but I'm prepared to listen to other people's views.
  2. Why do you think he said it then? You seem to struggle quite a bit with this sort of thing. Do you find it a bit overwhelming when the vast majority of people disagree with you?
  3. At the moment about 90% of people think you're wrong. Amazing isn't it
  4. Err, read it again. It wasn't a suggestion, it was a question. Do you think that Webber may be on the autistic spectrum? One of the symptoms of autism is an inability to accept that you're wrong and everyone else is right. This may be a very difficult question for you to answer
  5. I remember a game at Portman Road around 1976 when the arrest tally was Norwich 72 Ipswich 0. Seemed a bit unfair at the time as I cracked a bone in my wrist stopping a brick hitting a friend in the head. But I've never been bitter about it.
  6. Arguing whether or not it was a racist comment is to a large degree irrelevant. I think it clearly was but that's just my perception and other people see it differently. I have yet to see anybody say it was a sensible thing to say, in fact I'm sure 9 out of 10 would agree that it was stupid and unnecessary. The big question is, did Webber's comment make it more or less likely that a talented young black player will sign for us. I'm absolutely certain that it will make it less likely and as a result the club and its supporters will ultimately suffer. The only other question is whether or not Webber deliberately set out to damage the club.
  7. How do you manage to type with your right arm in the air?
  8. I suppose we should be grateful he didn't have a 17 hour flight to Chile this time. It would be good to give him a rest with Leicester and Ipswich coming up. We could play Sorenson there but I have a nasty feeling Wagner would move Sara and weaken 2 positions.
  9. I'm half Polish and I found that game a bit of a struggle. If you can't score against Wales in 2 hours it doesn't bode well for the finals. Thankfully I'm also half English.......
  10. Would you mind awfully putting your feet together? I've only got one good nail left....
  11. I think you have to call them Native Americans these days.
  12. People pronouncing the letter H as haitch. Drives me to distraction. Yesterday, someone on the BBC referred to the N haitch S.
  13. If you want to see a proper football match with 2 great national anthems watch Wales v Poland instead. Is this a good time to start the national anthem debate again? I suggest either the Archers theme (Billy Connolly suggestion) or Bohemian Rhapsody with Jack Grealish on air guitar
  14. Will you change your mind when you see a headline that says '16 year old wonderkid signs for Ipswich'? Sorry to disillusion you but money makes the world go round.
  15. No it's not just you. If I was very cynical I might think that Webber said it deliberately because he's a very sick man indeed. Dylan - 64 year old River End divorcee
  16. Just imagine you are a 16 year old kid, Norfolk born and bred and you are so good at football that several top clubs including Man Utd want your signature. A week before your final decision the Sporting Director of Manchester United tells a journalist that all Norfolk kids are inbred retards. Would that affect your decision? This will have long term repurcussions because, like it or not, mud sticks. A very simple way of looking at it is to ask yourself if it will have increased our chances of signing a young black lad.
  17. Putting aside the morality for a moment, the main damage caused to our club is reputational within the black community. Norwich City will be judged on this whether we like it or not. If you were a young black player would you sign for us? Thankfully he didn't say it 5 years ago because we'd be looking at a loss of around £70m. Having said that, the financial loss going forward could well be huge and there's little that can be done about it now.
  18. Quite extraordinary that he didn't end up in jail isn't it.....
  19. Have you seen a film called Seabiscuit about the legendary American horse? In the extras with the Dvd there is a documentary about the making of the film and in particular the race sequences. The director knew that the races were well documented and wanted to get it absolutely right. He employed several top quality jockeys and on the first day started telling them how to do it. They just laughed and told him they'd looked at the race reports and all he needed to do was film them. They went on to replicate the races to an incredible degree. The director said he never bet on a horse ever again. Even if you're not keen on horse racing the film is a good watch but the book it's based on, is even better. It won the prestigious Whitbread sports book of the year award. https://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/134739214164?mkcid=16&mkevt=1&mkrid=711-127632-2357-0&ssspo=JuumZthaThC&sssrc=4429486&ssuid=6O7z3RJnTTi&var=&widget_ver=artemis&media=COPY
  20. Precisely. A very short term bridging loan guaranteed by a prospective buyer. I suspect, as Hoggy has said, that this is an agent and/or club talking up a transfer
  21. I vividly remember the 7-1 defeat to Colchester but also the revenge a few months later. I suspect and hope the players will be fired up for the game on Friday. We really need something to take minds off the nonsense of the last couple of days so fingers crossed.
  22. Quite so. We should deny any potential criminal a legal defence and probably torture them as well. Hang on a minute, I just remembered the Guildford 4 and the Birmingham 6.........
  23. As Tim Minchin once said, you should always judge people by how they treat the poorest least important person in the room. If you haven't seen this before I think you'd like it
  24. What Jesus would actually have looked like and what he looks like in an Evangelical church. The biggest whitewash in human history
