  1. ‘Herdman joined City in the summer of 2023, but following ongoing discussions with the club over the head coach role and its wider responsibilities a decision has been made to make a change at this stage’ this is the actual quote @canarydan23 so saying he’s been sacked is wide of the mark (as the pink un have reported) sounds more of a mutual parting of ways.
  2. Wasn’t really that embarrassing given we’d only spent 1,5m that season and Covid disrupted the season so badly, let’s not forget they changed the goal posts regarding subs halfway through that season as well meaning those teams with a bigger budget could change half their outfield squad. we also made the quarters of the fa cup taking Man Utd to extra time… some people have short memories and are too quick to criticise the club without looking at the true facts
  3. To be fair made 3-4 top saves (despite one clanger) there will be better keepers than Krul who get this treatment from Haaland in his career
  4. -way to the away end at the Kenny Couldn’t see a tonight’s games thread so thought I’d add it to this. Well that was a battering, Haaland scored 5 and a bit of a clanger from our old boy Krul that said he made 4-5 top saves to keep them in it before the final onslaught.
  5. Again depends doesn’t it? If he hadn’t/didn’t declare it then he may well have been pushed. I know someone who plays for them whether she’ll be able to shed any light on it or whether I can divulge it who knows
  6. Could be unless he’s had a job offer which prohibits him from managing the girls at the weekend this won’t be his full time job
  7. Not saying I disagree with you by the way just we will never find out
  8. At the time there wasn’t much difference between Holt or Elmander (Elmander regular for Sweden, how many caps did Holt win?) No doubt Holt was good for us but he was starting to wane, Martin had (has?) an attitude problem, Hooper was much the better player all about opinions hey?
  9. I refuse to labour this point so you’re going to have to get it on the first go no one had a crystal ball as far as I’m aware, hughton could’ve kept us up or he may have take us down. Fact was he was sacked before that happened therefore he didn’t relegate us not sure if I can make it any clearer than that
  10. And yet we weren’t in the relegation zone when he was sacked
  11. New Trafford… i thank you. And goodnight
  12. Chris Hughton was a bit of an enigma as he actually kept us up and didn’t relegate us there are plenty worse than him, Peter Grant being one that springs to mind instantly. the aforementioned Nigel Worthington whilst getting us promoted then couldn’t keep us there and struggled to get us back up, I’d argue he did worse than Hughton.
  13. You are right but honourable mentions to crouch, harper, svensson and mckenzie oh and Damien Francis
  14. Good spot. would’ve been more of an uproar had we not won the match I guess. Shame as was a fantastic ball by MCcallum
  15. I’m usually one that will leap to the defence of our players but I’ve got nothing for that one, stonewall red card
  16. Fair enough I guess my definition of continually is different to yours.
  17. Oh dear lol I’ve given you a number of examples, how is that not continually? of course no one is going to say that now are they? I’ve always thought there was a player there to be fair and pleased he’s proven me (and I guess you) right
  18. See attached photos, before taking a swipe at me (irony?) do some f ing research. Haha agree re: your second point
  19. Conveniently forgetting we have won/drawn 7 out of the last 8 games and the Arsenal link Came in this week
  20. I thought we did well to get 35m for Buendia so that’s the benchmark plus strikers usually Go for more
