1.  ok so he''s got a good record at this level but I can''t stand the little guy. He''s everything that is bad about the modern day footballer, where he parks his hummer is his home, no loyalty to any club. He''ll play a season at forest, if he scores 20 plus goals he''ll be off somewhere else in the summer. You can''t build a side with players like earnshaw, I''d much rather sign Ched Evans for 2 million!!!
2. ok since you lot are determined to talk about players that have absolutely no connections with Norfolk and have compltely misunderstood the post, how about we bring back Courtney Walsh. Not from norfolk and not a footballer, but could do a job.
3.
I don''t get the point of this topic. Surely the big thing about Windass and Barmby is that they were actually born in Hull, can''t see many of those mentioned so far as Norwich (or even Norfolk) boys....
Yes Bunny the whole point of the post was about home grown players, but I guess people got a bit excited thinking about Dean Ashton and Francis. It''s a sad fact that so far on this topic the only home grown players folks would want back are Bellamy and Green. It just sums up how poor we have been over the last decade. What is going on with our youth system? We have a large catchment area and yet clubs like Crew out perform us constantly in producing good youngsters.
4. Quite a few Norwich players have come "home" recently with mixed success. Dublin and Russel having good seasons and Cureton not really living up to high expectations. Looking at Hull City''s promotion this season they''ve definintely benefited from home grown players like Barmby and Windass returning home. So who do we [norwich city] have out there who could come home to carrow road and lead our team back to the premier league? Who would you like to see back at carrow road? I for one would love to see Bellamy back and I was gutted Sutton had to retire when he did. Perhaps there aren''t many players out there who we''d want back, does this reflect poorley on our youth system? Just how many of our home grown players are out there making it at the top level, surely it''s not just Rob Green. And speaking of goal keepers, if Joe Lewis prooves to be the one that got away and Roeder was to eat humble pie and buy him back from Posh, would Peterborough have to give us some cash-back for the sell on clause ;-)love to hear what you thinkOTBC!
5. those spaniards don''t know how lucky they are, let''s hope it arrives in time, fingers crossed eh.
6.
Yet another sign of a club in financial meltdown!. How the hell does this help with Ratty''s rebuild?.Please enlighten me someone.   Taken from my post on carrowroad.net.
jobs for the boys wiz that''s all. Toad is coming in to drive the bus, badger is the new sport scientist and moley... oh actually he''s already here, chief executive.
7. Key thing here is attitude. Dublin was exemplarily in everything he did. We don''t want any sulky Hassilbainks or players who''ve not looked after themselves (fowler). There''s normally a website showing all players released by clubs in the summer, anyone know of one? then the speculation can really start!
8. but Huckerby isn''t a centre forward. we need someone who can hold the ball up, link play and be a threat in the air, in short we need to replace DD.
9. So Rasiak, is he the big man with good feet that we so badly need? Could he complement Curo and get him back amongst the goals next season? To me he''s kind of a poor mans Berbatov, or perhaps a john the baptist who paved the way for the messiah. Does he work hard? well he''s Polish so his work ethic should be above the average brit and well above the average spaniard. Is he a bit slow? or does he have a kind of Chris Waddle waddle about him? I''ve certainly seen him take a few defenders on with those nifty feet, remember that goal for Derby. Can we afford him and his wages (£14,000 at present :-o) or should we be spreading our money around? we need to bing in practically a new team and someone needs to tell Glen he can''t play 11 loanees, however much he''d like to. Good luck Glen, I think Rasiak would be a good buy but only if the money is right! What do you think folks? Here''s a little bit of him in action, great song, so make sure your speakers are on. I''m thinking he''s not quite international standard but make your own minds up...not bad:http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=2W7R_KcfGBEoh dear:http://video.google.com/videoplay?docid=-2641032525617189763
10. Man City''s Chairman is so peaed off with the teams end of season form that he has put the whole squad up for sale. Get that offer in for Ched ASAP!Is there anybody else from that squad we could afford?
11. I agree chicken, I think it''s a harsh comment. He''s better than many of our current crop of players and has out performed huckerby on occasions this season. His main problem is consistency and the stats show he''s not scored or made a telling impact with assists, but then he''s not alone!
12. I think we''ve missed Chadwick this season. I know we''ve not seen him play consistently but he''s a goal scoring midfielder who can run at players but also has the ability/desire to get back and do defensive duties. He''s ideal as a wide midfield player (as opposed to out and out winger) in a 442 formation with either hucks or croft on the opposite flank. Any way good to have him back, wonder what his hair cut is like at the moment.
13. Boo Ah Cherokeeathekeg, I love your posts you''re as mad as a box of frogs. peace out bother.
14. But Scooby sureley these are the real fans you speak of. The kind of folk who take city to consecutive European cup finals in Championship Manager, single handed! They don''t need fifa badges or a long successful career in footabll behind them. No, they''re born with it, it''s instinct. They know when to make substitutions, when to drop players and exactly who to buy and sell. These are the people who should be running our footbll club, the moaners and whingers. Not these so called professionals with credentials ''n'' stuff. In fact why stop there, these people should be running our country!Any way great post, but I''m sure someone will moan or whinge...
15. Getting rid of him makes perfect sense and frees up money for wages. And of course Roeder would have tried to sell him but obviously there were no offeres. As it stands we''ve only lost 245,000 on him, keeping him any longer would just be throwing money away. We just simply can''t have strikers like Big Dave and Chris Brown who don''t score goals. I think Javis and Martin should take heed of this and do some extra shooting practice, their days are numbered.
16. Genius, Glen you are an alchemist supreme, sh*t into gold, well done sir!
17. I think the story now on the official site is a pretty big hint that he won''t be back, sounds like closure to me..."We would like to wish Jimmy the best of luck in his future career on his return to Chelsea. He''s played his part here and we believe he will return to his club a better player." GR
18. Difficult one as they both have their faults, but I''m assuming Taylor is right footed so I would play Shackell as the left sided CB. Also I think Shackell has potential to improve where as Docherty is unlikely to improve. Either way both would benefit from playing alongside Taylor.
19. Nigel Quashie rumored to be signing on loan. Seems like Roeder doesn''t rate our midfield and in all honesty it''s been a problem area for a long long time!
20. ermm... it''s on the pinkun website and Harry Hamlin, who he? Todd Armstrong, now he da man! I think this is a great distraction from all the bitter, back stabbing, board slaying, Delia drubbing nonsense that''s going on. More discussions on mythical adventure films please. For the moment, let them enjoy a calm sea, a fresh breeze and each other. The girl is pretty and I am always sentimental. But for Jason, there are other adventures. I have not finished with Jason. Let us continue the game another day.
21. Roeder supposed to be after this fellow. Out of contract this summer, plays in midfield, I''m assuming in the centre but someone might know better. Here''s his profile...http://www.nufc.co.uk/page/Profiles/0,,10278~30702,00.html
22. 1. Left mid in a 4-4-2.  NO - teams have worked it out (not hard!) that he won''t always defend, leaving our left back to defend against 2 men or worse one of our centre backs gets dragged across.2. Left striker in a 4-3-3. BETTER - but still leaves us exposed and not sure the players are totally sure what they''re doing in this formation. Has a tendency to become 4-5-1 with an isolated striker and central midfield sitting back too far.3. Striker in a 4-4-2. BEST POSITION - but can you play Cureton and Hucks up front together? What ever happens we need a solid base to build on. That means replacing Doherty (with Dublin or a loan signing) before Marshall and Shackell loose what little confidence they have left and a strong midfield four with Lapin playing on the left.
23. ...except if PG continues to ignore the promosing youngsters we have at this club. PG if you know what''s good for you play Spillane (at centre half) and Martin at the very least and if Drury is fit drop Donkerty and see how Murray plays at centre half. If I wanted to watch a bald headed twat flapping his arms around and falling over his own boots then I''d get a season ticket for Billy Smart''s Circus.
24. Wolves v Norwich Highlights on BT Vision Sport from Monday. Just thought folks would like to know as I hadn''t realised. I thought they only showed highlights of the live games shown on Sky but apparently not. Now all I need to do is avoide the result in an Auf Wiedersehen Pet style, enjoy...
25. DD should be fit and we need his experience against Fowler and JFH (neither of which have pace). I''d like to see Brellier playing the holding role to protect the back 4 allowing Chadwick and Russell to get forward. With Croft and Hucks stretching  the play on both wings and JC doing what he does best in the box. Cardiff seem to have a few injury problems themselves so I think if the team below is fit and can stay the 90 then we''ll come home 2 -1 winners!                           MarshallSemmy          Dublin           Doherty            Lappin            Chadwick          Brellier          Russell                     Croft        JC         Hucks GilksBrownMartinSpillaneEagle
