  1. Tried to get the missus to remove the grass, as it was getting a bit of a thicket, and rather bushy round the edges. ....She gave me a thick ear!!
  2. That confirms it, thick as a very thick stump..
  3. Sorry, but he always reminded me of the Water Boy, (you need to see the film). If it wasn''t for the N&P stand, i''m sure he would have ended up in the river!! All running and precious little end product unfortunately. Thick as a stump apparently.
  4. It''s not just that they make us favorites for relegation, it''s the fact that they expect us to do considerably worse than the other promoted teams. Supposedly Swansea, with their ''free flowing, stylish football'', will see them finish above the three promoted teams, and one man band QPR, will see Taarbat ''take the Premier league by storm''. Sorry, but it''s more likely that he''ll spit his dummy and act like a petulant child, like he did when he was snuffed out of both games with us last year. Personally, i''m quietly confident and impressed with what we have achieved so far. Another signing from the lower leagues will make me wonder if we are preparing for life should we get relegated, but as with City of old, you never know just who''s just round the corner and there''s always a feeling that we''ll sign someone completely out of the blue. With the new signings up front, Jackson doesn''t seem to get mentioned too much, but i have a feeling he will only get better after such a terrific end to the season. Onwards and upwards!!
  5. http://www.greenun24.co.uk/ipswich-town/canaries_crushed_we_launch_countdown_to_norwich_city_relegation_1_926369? Sorry ''bout the link. What a bunch of complete and utter W@nkers, friendly banter an local rivalry, i think not!
  6. To get a last minute winning goal against a mid table side as say Everton would be such a confidence booster. Especially if scored by Holt or Jackson, who will want to prove they can be up there with the big boys. Irrespective of who we bring in, i think so much will count on building on what our club has achieved over the past two seasons. Can''t wait, but like someone said earlier, i hope it''s not against another promoted team, as Crystal Palace felt more like a defeat than a draw as i think everyone expected us to win at home.
  7. I hardly call it surviving, but i''m now highly qualified in squit! Listening to Talksport for 12 hrs a day has that effect in the end. Aside from that, all the jobs I promised she that must be obeyed, i would do once the season was over.
  8. Lee crofts could never be a Mastermind. (thick as a stump by all accounts)
  9. I think to look at our last 5 fixtures puts things into perspective. Home wins against Bristol and Scunny, 9 goals scored and only 1 conceded. Away draws at both Hull and Watford, both play off contenders, and neither the easiest places to go to. The only defeat, away to Swansea. Not our best performance admittedly, but in the absence of Hoolahoop and therefore a slightly odd formation, to be honest i didn''t really expect too much. I seem to remember the about this time last year, we also had a run of draws and the odd defeat that we expected to win, but in a season, which has rarely seen us dip in form, it was inevitable at some point. Nervous? No. What does concern me though, is if the fans get on the players backs if things don''t go exactly to plan. Some of the reaction and comments on here since Swansea, are absolutely bloody ridiculous, but hey, everyones entitled to their opinions i suppose.
  10. I would have thought that the banks would have had this written in during the recent restructuring of the club, that at least a large percentage of the debt would be repaid if promotion was gained. This debt has been such a millstone for so many years now, and interest payments alone have been the controlling factor as to transfer budgets, expansion etc. Soon as we get shot the better. This intern would increase the possibilities of further investment. I couldn''t see the club not backing PL with the funds he deemed necessary. So far very astute with players he brought in, and of course managing to bring the very best from players that were not were not expected by many to sustain the high standard for the entire season. Just goes to prove what can be achieved when you''ve got a balanced manager with all the attributes of being one of the greats one day.
  11. Learn your dish washing skills from the experts now. Better a faded 4-1 mug than your Championship Winners 2010-2011 mug ;@)
  12. Although I generally wish them nothing less than defeat, near bankruptcy, and continual relegation down the leagues. Yep, they could really take some serious points from those around us. A defeat for QPR on Tuesday, and we will be the closest we have been to them, assuming we beat Donnie. All we can do is still keep picking up the points, but unlike last year, we will be relying on teams around us to slip up. So, I hope they do well in these games,(can''t bring myself to say i hope they win), and lose all the rest. Let their demise start next year when we can look down and laugh at them!!
  13. I bought a shirt with Otsemabor on it hoping it would trigger him leaving!!
  14. Seen a few of the Subsea 7 boats here of the past few years, mainly the Deep Blue, so quite possibly you do have. The vessel is on for Acker Solutions who do have their own, miles from anywhere!!. Back to Angola in May. Enjoy y'' leave chap.
  15. Well, i thought i would be. Been in Mobile Alabama for the past week after most of my trip in Norway. I''ts just as bloody cold!! The boats getting ready for a umbilical job on Monday. Finished my bit so back to the UK i hope for a few weeks. Take it your on leave for a bit?
  16. Morty Wrote, ''Wow, what a tit.'', Yep, unfortunately so. Some people are beyond help or medication, even if he does live in a shell by the sea!!
  17. CanaryCharge.''Boy'',..... You were finished before i even started....
  18. God, i know i really shouldn''t be doing this as one so stupid could only be on a wind up, but hey you really got my goat. So lets get this straight, from my reply that i don''t like two songs, which most people will probably agree, are predictably sung every match, even if its a particularly quiet match, (sorry i forgot its my fault there are no singers), you can deduce my level of support, and that im from Yarmouth (which i''m not, and Gorleston has it''s own library you know). However, from your point, i can deduce that you are not very bright, and that you are probably from the Snakepit. And what exactly do these two songs in particular make, ''Norwich what it is''. ? Safri''s, McViegh''s and numerous others make us original. Unfortunately, IN MY OPINION, i think the two in question make us a tad predictable. However, i do bow down to your superior knowledge. I just hope that your Avatar is not your passport photo..
  19. What point! You merely took one thread that didnt agree with your superior opinion decided to make yourself look ridicules, by questioning my support. Still can''t quite work out where your coming from or what Yarmouth library has to do with it? However, it obviously means alot to you.. Which brings me back to my point that stupidity like yours is why many posters dont bother anymore. Oh whats coming next, an attack on my post rating..?
  20. Read the title by the original Poster! It says'' Most annoying songs''. This to most people would be a personal opinion to what he/ finds annoying. Of which i replied. However,''Dear sir'', had it stated, ''Most annoying Poster'', You very well may have been near the top of my list. Seven months away, is not in one lump, and i try and do most of my time away during the close season. I still manage at least fifteen games per season, not that this is any business of yours. As for stopping singers getting together? Give y'' head a bang man, seating did that years ago.
  21. Canary Charge Wrote''''Learn your history and you might enjoy the song! ''Stand up if y''hate the scum'', Ipswich do sit down...... but then you probably wont know that! sat in yarmouth library! '''' ?? and what exactly warranted that reply?, Just for your information nobead, i''ve been Barclay born an bred since the age of 4, ( and now the ripe old age of 42), and still a season ticket holder even though i spend at least 7 months of the year away from home! I know i shouldn''t even bother replying to idiots like you, but you are a prime example why people don''t visit these boards like they used to. I relish the opportunity of challenging your reply, F uckwit!
