  1. WOW!  I''m all for having plenty of midfield options, but the question is who will Roeder pick to start?  Who would you pick from the following?: -   Wes Hoolahan Sammy Clingan David Bell Mark Fotheringham Darel Russell Matty Pattison Luke Chadwick Lee Croft Robert Eagle Simon Lappin (Ryan Bertrand possible left wing role?)   Who would you pick?
  2. http://www.skysports.com/story/0,19528,11688_3851303,00.html   I feel this would be a great signing but i have no idea why?  His goal-scoring record is not great, but i feel he would really do a job for us and be a fantastic asset.  My next worry is that if he does do really well while on-loan with us other clubs will then want to sign him permanently or/and his value will go up!?   Anybody else think he''s going to be good but don''t really know why?  End of the day, i have total faith in any player that Roeder brings in, he knows what he''s doing!
  3. Don''t you just hate the ''fansfc'' and ''clubcall'' pages on teletext that list a clubs name and next to it have the an ''over-the-top'' head line?   For example: CHESTER CITY - ''AMAZING SUPER SCORING SENSATION ON WAY?'' Do people actually phone these lines and see what they have to say?  I mean it''s like £1.50 a minute and it ''may involve a long call'' and i would hazzard a guess at aying that when you phone up that ''amazing, incredible, terrific, marvelous striker'' is actually soem unknown quantity from the unibond league! How many people have been sucked in by such a head line, not including this post!  he he!   I just think it''s a total waste of time and money!
  4. What do you guys think of the above then?  Do you think there''s a realistic chance of getting the players mentioned and would they do a decent job?
  5. was trying to base it mainly on rumours, not signings mate
  6. GK: David Marshall RB: Jon Otsemobor CB: Dejan Stefanovic CB: Martin Taylor (£800,000 from Birmingham) LB: Ryan Bertrand RW: David Bell (£600,000 from Luton) CM: Mark Fotheringham CM: Alan Gow (£250,000 from Rangers) LW: Wes Hoolahan ST: Arturo Lupoli (Season-long loan deal) ST: Shola Ameobi (£2.2m from Newcastle)   SUBS: GK: Declan Rudd DF: Gary Doherty MF: Darel Russell MF: Luke Chadwick ST: Andy Carrol (£1.3m from Newcastle) This team would mean leaving out the likes of Clingan, Drury, Omuzusi, Pattison, Cureton, Martin, Lappin   I would sell Jason Shackell to Wolves for the £1m they are stupidly, i mean willingly wanting to pay and i would also sell Lee Croft for anybody that was willing to pay around £1-£1.5m for him.   So including what Roeder has already bought and my own potential signings the out-goings come too around £5.5m Selling Shackell and Croft would bring in around £2-£2.5m.   What do you guys think?  I would also try and get Ched on loan in January.
  7. Here''s what Norwich''s team could be next season based on rumoured targets so far this summer   GK: David Marshall RB: Jon Otsemobor CB: Danny Gabbidon CB: Martin Taylor/Kaspar Gorks LB: Ryan Bertrand RW: David Bell CM: Alan Gow CM: Mark Fotheringham LW: Wes Hoolahan ST: Shola Ameobi ST: Insert anybody here from Andy Carrol, Gregorz Rasiak, Nicky Maynard, Antoine Sibierski, Clinton Morrison, Arturo Lupoli, Ched Evans (i''m sure there''s many, many more too)   Personally i''d go for either Maynard or Lupoli from the last list as we are not going to get Ched :-( Not a bad team at all!  Good old rumours hey!
  8. Anybody at the wolves away debacle last season who remebers us lads singing 226 to the wolves steward?
  9. I would go for Ipswich away (2-0 win) the season we won the league Barnsley away (2-0) win the season we got in the play-offs Newcastle away (2-2) from 2-0 down the premiership season And i''d probably go for Wolves away last season when we lost 2-0 for all the wrong reasons to be honest!  We was that bad that it was actually funny!  Very drunk that day, and very roudy too!  Got bored and me and my fellow chums started singing songs for players from the past such as: -   "walking in a rivers wonderland" "david nielsen tra la la la la" "he''s here he''s there, he''s every.................you know the rest" "ohhhhh malky" "McKenzie woooooooaahhhhhhh................." "There''s only one Daryl Sutch" "Viva Marc Libbra" "Gunn, Gunn Bryan Bryan Gunn, he''s got no hair but we don''t care, Byran Byran Gunn" "Iwan, Iwan, Iwan" There were others too, but can''t remeber them at the moment, but everybody else was joining in too, so made it a good day out due to the fact we had put some smiles on some other disheartened city supporters faces. Also, in the same game, for thos of you who were there, does anybody remeber us singing 226,226,226 to that wolves steward who sat at the front on his chair, with 226 on his high-vis jacket.    Was quality song!
  10. Apologies marsh mallow man, didn''t mean to offend you!  Will not say anything else relating to this subject from now on.
  11. You''ve got to be joking?  You actually admited to failing a moped test!!!!???     ha ha ha ha ha ha!
  12. Town full of prossies, your just a town full of prossies! You my disgusting little enemy, are the sole definition of a scummer!  No go away and play with the rest of your family like a good little incest freak! Always s**t on the old blue and white!
  13. Cheers for your support ryank, your correct, it was jus a few players i think that could do a great job for us.  I agree with the post above saying that Ched''s and Maynard''s stock would rise, and basically by signing these 2 we would be in a win/win situation.  I also think Eastwood be fantastic to have as the 3rd striker to come off the bench. Also, hands ups!  I missed the ''m'' off the £20, so i suppose getting that many players with just £20 wouldn''t be too be going really!  LOL! Can anybody think of any other players, especially centre halfs that we could realistically bring to the club? I agree taht Mr Haynes is a top player, but i wouldn''t ever want him here at Norwich, i want players i can take to and love on a Saturday afternoon, not feel like spitting at!
  14. With all the talk and speculation of the take over and investment from Mr Cullum, i''m interested to find out what sort of players you think we should be looking to bring in with that sort of money available? I have a short list of a few players below and my estimated value of them: - DF: Martin Taylor (Birmingham, £1m) DF: Ryan Bertrand (Chelsea, £1.5-2m) DF: Jack Cork (Chelsea, LOAN) DF: Callum Davenport (West Ham, £1m) (Can''t think of any midfielders off the top of my head) ST: Ched Evans (Man City £2.5m) ST: Nicky Maynard (Crewe £1m) ST: Bobby Zamora (West Ham, £2.5m) ST: Marlon Harewood (Aston Villa, £3m) ST: Shola Ameobi (Newcastle, £3m)   What do you guys think?
  15. Hi Ricardo, you are correct, it is wishful thinking on my part!  But i''m just trying to piece together all what has happened in the last few months and at the moment, and it is pointing towards us having a bit of money to spend.  Last season was almost as if the board said to Glen "Right, work on a show string, pull what ever strings you can together to keep us up, and you''ll get money to spend once you have done that in the summer".  It just adds up, but only time is going to tell.  But I think once July 1st gets here there are going to be several transfers which were completed a while ago be made official to the public and press.  Say for example, Norwich have offered £2.5m for Ched Evans, and a deal is done, Norwich could have easily said to Manchester City, can you keep the deal under wraps until 1st July.  This was no clubs are thinking wow!  Norwich have money to spend, if they coem in for one of our players we''ll boost the price up a bit!  I feel once July get''s here, we''ll see the likes of Gorks, Hoolahan, Bell etc unveiled. I really am not very keen on Andy Cole joining us though!    Who ever said about my name is earl being the best programme on TV is 100% correct!  Totally quality show, and yes my user name is linked with Darnell''s!  lol
  16. Why are most people on this message board panicking about us signing new players and how much money we have to spend? In my honest opinion, i feel that the board and the back room staff at the club are doing everything exactly right, and that we will find out soon exactly what is going on. Everything that has happened so far points to the fact that there is money to spend, and this could have only come from either Mr Cullum or the Turners.  You don''t get rid of the amount of players and staff that Roeder has got rid of if there''s no way of replacing them.  Our boad are top notch when it comes to secretivity and playing their cards close to their chest.  I hope i''m right, but i think there has been a cash injection into the transfer budget and the board are keeping things as quiet as possible so other clubs don''t start bumping up transfer fee''s of players just because we have money. We are all true fans on here, and if you had millions or billions of pounds and were truly passionate about your football club what would you do with some of that money?  Exactly!  So why on earth woouldn''t Mr Cullum or the Turners have stumped up cash for us to spend.  Mark my words, there is money to spend, and a substantial amount, but our board are playing it clever as usual, by keeping it between themselves. Hope i''m right!   What do you guys think?
