  1. My uncle just phoned me and said that we have just shown Rickie Lambert and Jeff Hughes from Bristol Rovers aroudn the training complex.  My uncle was there to speak to the physiotherapist about some fitness products he sells and well............basically would have no reason to lie to me.  He said he recognised Lambert but didn''t the Hughes guy until he asked one of the fitness team who said they were expecting some players to have a look around this morning, but had no idea who?  But one of the guys said he had heard from somebody else that it was Jeff Hughes, who i have no idea who he is??????? Obviously i have no idea what sort of price we would be paying, but apparently Mr Pattison might be involved in the deal along with Jamie Cureton (who is obviosuly an x Rovers player). Ok guys, i''ve told you what i''ve been told.............i''m ready to be shot down!  lol!
  2. Off that Dodgy football transfer rumours website: - Bryan Gunn looks set to rival Peterborough for Hereford midfielder Toumani Diagouraga. With Clingan and Russell look set to leave, Gunn thinks the young French lad will partner Matty Gill very well. Lee Hendrie – Norwich – Loan   Robbie Simpson (norwich) p/ex
  3. If you look at the players we currently have available, we have got the basis of a sound team for a decent promotion push ffrom League One next season.........with a few shrewd signings we will be fine i''m sure: -   GK: Rudd LB: Drury RB: Otsemobor (I would look to change this tart if we were still in the championship, but League One is his level!) CB: Doherty CB: Stefanovic LW: Hoolahan RW: ? CM: Clingan CM: Russell ST: McDonald ST: Martin   This is not a bad team for this level by any means!  I''m not saying that thi sis the team i would be happy to see run out on August the 8th for the start of the season, but when we still have players like Lappin, Spillane, Pattison, Cureton, Daley, Smith, Renton etc - the basis of a side is there!  It just needs a few good signings (aroudn 6 or 7 should do it!)  What do you reckon?  I''m ready to be shot down!
  4. I have just read my posts back and i have not put myself across in the correct manner.  I apologise to everybody who i have offended, i didn''t mean to insult any of you.  It''s just that i view these boards every day and every day teh posts just get more and more depressing..................was just trying to lighten the mood and bring some optomism to next season for us all...............went about it in the wrong way though........sorry guys!
  5. JESUS FU**ING CHRIST!  You lot on here do my f**cking head in!  Moan, moan, moan......whinge, whinge, whinge!  I was moaning for most of last season and the previous 3 before that, but i am all moaned-out now!  I''ve got to a stage where i''ve accepted that Gunny is now our full time manager and that we are now a league one side and that we now need to fully back and get behind this new era at Norwich.   Trust me, nobody has moaned more about the state of our club more than me......i''m totally fed-up with what has gone on and the incompentance at board room level.  But what can we do about it?  What have you done about it, except moan on here and to your friends? The idiots who have replied to my previous message above in a negative manner might as well f**k off now!  Norwich don''t need ''supporters'' like yourselves.  When i was complaning about the state of the club months ago at least i did ''something'' positive to highlight my anger.  I sent a very angrily worded letter to the club expressing how dis-heartened i was with the current regime.  And started a couple of groups on face book to get Doncaster out..........which i now have my wish for that one.  I know it''s not alot, but the fans should have been on the pitch after or during the Coventry home game a few months ago, or at Portman Road, or even the Valley on the last day and demonstrated the fact that the current board were/are sinking the club.........but Noooooooooooooo, we must not do such a thing, we are ''nice'' Norwich fans, we wouldn''t dream of being hostile or showing our disregard for the happenings at our club in an effective, positive way.......you keep on monaing to the bloke sitting next to you at the match.......because you never know he might just know somebody within the club who he can speak to to sort it all out for you..........GET REAL!   What i''m trying to say here is.......are you really going to keep on moaning all through out the summer and next season?  Or are you going to show any sort of support towards this club?  As i said in my previous post, our club needs our support more than ever now, i''m not going to be a grumpy b**ted all summer in keep moaning about our improbable decline and how we are going to be in the BS Premier soon.  What''s the point turning up to watch Norwich next season if you don''t have any hope at all???????????????????   As for watching Norwich get beat 3-0 away at a crap team at a crap ground on a pi**ing down Tuesday night....................that''s football!  what''s different between Norwich doing that next season and the previous seasons we have witnessed?  That includes our first stint in the premiership when we used to visit the likes of ''Wimbledon'' on a soggy Tuesday night and get beat. if you can''t show any sort of positiveness for next season and hope then simple.....f**k off!
  6. Ok, to everybody on this message board who keep on moanin and moaning about the state of the club - DO SOMETHING ABOUT IT IF YOUR THAT BOTHERED!  I am not at all happy with the state the club is in, player-wise, financially and at board room level.  But it''s too late too do anything about it now, the time when a group of fans should have taken the bull by the horns and started a demonstration has come and gone!  It should have been done months ago, but instead everybody just sits on these message boards moaning and whinging! There has been one decent post on this message board since i have been viewing this and that comes from the chap who''s post made it into the EDP following the post from the Liverpool supporter. Now for the optomistic part...............I am looking forward too next season, i really am excited at the prospect of Gunny and his team assembling a squad which will compete at League One level next season, and although at the time i thought the introduction of Gunny wasn''t a clever move, i have since thought long and hard about this, and after what him and the rest of the management team experienced last season, who''s better placed to WANT to do EVERYTHING they can to put this right except the current management team?  There is very little money to work with, we all know this and all moan about ''where the money has gone?'' but it''s now time to get behind Norwich City Fc more than ever.  We have a man who is very much loved and respected as our manager and a host of ex city players amongst the coaching team who ''care'' about this club. Even though i''m only 24, i''m very much a traditionalist when it comes to football and going to away games.  I love going to grounds with character and maybe even a bit run-down, but thats what makes it fun!  All the new stadia that is being built is the same old same old!  Big one tier bowl shapped grounds with no atmosphere - HOW BORING!!!!!!!! I am looking forward to going to the likes of Oldham, Exeter and so on next season!  Old crappy stadiums with an atmosphere are far more fun to visit! I have faith that Gunny and his team will assemble a decent squad for us next season.  There are enough released players and out of contract players to assemble the core of a decent side, but we just need to entice them to Norwich, which let''s face it....with our facilities and support shouldn''t be hard! So stop the moaning because it''s getting very boring now.  As i said above, the time of demonstrations has come and gone and it''s now time to support Norwich 100%.  get behind us in League One, because at this moment in time that is the level of football we deserve to be at.  But we can do it next season, i really believe with a few shrewd signings and the removal of useless dead wood (Jon Otsemobor) we can be a fantastic team next season, and have a couple of emerging stars from the youth.   I''m fully behind you Gunny, i hope you get a decent enough budget to play with this summer to get some dedicated players into the club.  Come on you yellows!
  7. You all seem to be rather split on Ince?  Ok then, if you could realistically pick a manager for Norwich at this moment in time, who would you have at the club?  I know i said i wouldn''t mind Ince, but i also liek the thought of Robins too.
  8. Actually..................i think she did say he had a large borad sheet paper as well! lol
  9. Just been told by my friend who works at the club that Paul Ince was at the ground today.  He walked past my mate who identified him, even though my mate says he was obviously trying to hide his identity as he had a flap cap on, shades and a jacket with the collar up. But she reckons that it was certainly him.........if (IF) this is true, what would your thoughts be on Ince possibly egtting the job?  I wouldn''t mind him at all, obviously did a very decent job with MK DONS and Shrewsbury wern''t it?  At a lower level.  Didn''t work out at Blackburn, but was a too big a step too soon.  I reckon he would be awesome at League One level with us!  My friend has no reason to lie, so i believe her when she says it was him....Paul Ince.....Come on down!
  10. Bumped into a guy i know from school yesterday who''s close friends with the Jarvis Brothers and Joe Lewis and he reckons all of them think are decline is hilarious.  Especially Joe Lewis, who he described as saying is "pissing himself laughing" at us being relegated and him now getting promotion.   Cant blame him, what a quality young goal kepper that Roeder and the board just let slip away!  Even Fabio Capello has seen what a great keeper he is!
  11. Did anybody who was walking out of upper barclay block E see the fight between city fans coming down the stairs after the match?  Just wondered how this kicked off?  Was pretty bad, proper full on punches being thrown, kicking each other, some woman got smacked too.  Don''t usually see that much action in the upper barclay!
  12. ok then, fully expected a negative response!  what would u guys go 4 then?
  13. This is the team/formation i would stick with for the rest of the season baring injuries/suspensions: -                                                                                                            Marshall                                                                            Grounds                 Doherty            Shackell                                             Otsemobor                                              Clingan                                       Bertrand                                                                 Croft                                    Hoolahan                     Pattison                                                                                                              Cort   This formation looks like a 3-3-3-1, but it really isn''t that though.   Once i''ve posted this, i hope it comes out as i have displayed the players positions - right now let me explain: -   Grounds/Doherty/Shackell as a central back 3 Otsemobor/Bertrand as attacking full backs, but they have to try and get back if needed - these 2 guys are not out and out defenders!  They are much more than this!  They have pace to burn................so let''s finally use it!  Get them to wreap havoc down the wings!  Give them a free role down them sides. Clingan sitting in front of the back 3, but would help out in either full back position if thats where the game was stretched too at the time.  His role is the link between defence and midfield, playing the balls through too the front men.....out wide.....over the top......how ever he feels suit.......he''s our best player........we need to use him in the position he is best suited!    In front of him there is then Croft on the inside right and Pattison on the inside left.  With Hoolahan just infront.  These 3 should be ready and willing to win the ball, receive the ball and make the required runs all the way throughout the match.  They would play either side of Cort up front, due to what i''ve seen of Carl Cort he looks immense when in possession, in the air, on the floor....it doesn''t seem to matter how the ball goes into him, he can deal with it!  Croft, Pattison, Otsemobor, Bertrand and of course Hoolahan should all be providing attacking options when Cort is in posession.   Hoolahan''s role is too ALWAYS be available for Clingan to make the pass too.  If Clingan hasn''t got any better option on, Hoolahan should always make himself available for possession further up the field or by coming short.  This formation then gives plenty of forward passing options.   We are useless at having full-backs.....the ball always seems to still come into the box from the opposition in them areas, especially with Drury at left back!   Let me know your thoughts on this guys.......is it too much attack minded?
  14. As somebody has stated in a previous post, i think Worthington has unfinished business with Norwich.  He is the most succesful and shrewd manager we have had in years and quite frankly, he is a cut above Grant and Roeder.  I''m fed-up with losing all the time, i think it''s time for Worthington''s Green Army to come back!  Please take this post seriously, i really do think it would be a good move to get Worthy back here!  Just cast your minds back to the sublime football we played under Worthington''s regime, the amazing achievements of the play-off final and getting promoted.  Who remembers when we finished one season 8th or 9th and we were dissapointed!  I would snatch somebody''s hand off if they said we were to finish that high now!    I''ll start the petition here.......I want Worthy back, with Malky as assisstant!
  15. All, does anybody on this message board live within the kings lynn/fakenham/norwich area who wants to go to Nottingham Forest?  We have a 17 seater mini-bus booked to go to Forest, but we need a driver who has the relevant driving license to be able to drive it though.   The driver would get his/her ticket free (which we already have) plus some cash in hand as well.   Please contact me on 07852345289   Thanks
  16. I like the idea and the theory behind this, but of the 30,000 you speak of, how many of these are simply kids or oap''s who of course wouldn''t have the sort of money you are asking to put towoards the club?
  17. My mate in America has said it''s in their local papers that as soon as the MLS season finishes (which is soon) Huckerby is coming back to Norwich on-loan until the new MLS season starts. Roeder has said that he would welcome Hucks back on a short-term loan deal, and would be n ideal player to come off the bench.  Although i would think he will actually start.   This is not bull s**t, my mate is sending me the articles from the local papers in america and i will post them on here when i get them.   I''m pleased with this news, how about everybody else?
  18. I see that Howard has rejected a move on loan to Sheff UTD and is in talks with another club.  How good would it be to have a quality 15 goal midfielder in our team who is a good captain too.  Would love this to be us in for him, and say see you later Fozzy!
  19. I think if he plays then the best song for Koroma is by ''the knack'' called ''my shorona''.   There''s a beat line in the song where the fans can go: -   Da, da, da, da, da da, da, da, da, da, da da, da, da,da, da............ OMAR KOROMA!   It sounds rubbish when you put it in writing on here like this, but with the fans clapping at the same time, this song could become one of our best ever i feel! Is really easy to sing and clap too, and sure it would sound great!  Give it a go at the next home game Barclay boys!
  20. come on you yellows!  can''t wait to get to Cov on saturday now!  At the end of the day we are all die hard city fans here and i cant wait for football to start again!  Of course we all want City to do well this season, but football is back!  Come on!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!   Get your voices ready for Saturday boys and girls!  I want to hear everybody getting behind the lads and having a great day out!  Are we going to sing any songs ripping the p**s out of that horrible Bex from Big Brother?  She''s from Coventry ain''t she?  Great big horrible thing!   What songs we got in mind for Saturday?  Come on Cityyyyyyyyyyyyyyy!  Yes i''m getting excitable!    AAAAAAAAAAGGGGGGGGGHHHHHHHHHHHHH!  COME ON!
  21. Take some time to glance over the below striker profile links.  These are players taht we have been ''linked'' with this summer.  Make your mind up on the basis of the stats and info. in the profiles and say who you would sign from this lot.  I haven''t included Rasiak.   Maceo Rigters - http://www.rovers.premiumtv.co.uk/page/ProfilesDetail/0,,10303~38436,00.html Heider Helguson - http://www.bwfc.premiumtv.co.uk/page/ProfilesDetail/0,,1004~11658,00.html Shola Ameobi - http://www.nufc.premiumtv.co.uk/page/Profiles/0,,10278~7870,00.html Andrew Carroll - http://www.nufc.premiumtv.co.uk/page/Profiles/0,,10278~37714,00.html Antoine Sibierski - http://www.wiganlatics.premiumtv.co.uk/page/ProfilesDetail/0,,10429~24414,00.html Michael Mifsud - http://www.ccfc.premiumtv.co.uk/page/ProfilesDetail/0,,10269~38175,00.html Cameron Jerome - http://www.blues.premiumtv.co.uk/page/ProfilesDetail/0,,10412~30567,00.html
  22. What are your thoughts on Cameron Jerome or Heider Helgusson for a big man?
  23. Nice choice, but in my heart of hearts i don''t want to leave Russell out!  I think you can assume that Fotheringham, Hoolahan and Bell would be starters though.
  24. Who do you think will be the next signings to Carrow Road?  And where do you feel we need to strengthen? My personal opinion would be to sign 2 more quality strikers permanently and a centre half.  And that''s it!  We are then ready!   I''m getting excited now!  All together now.....................   "KICK IT OFF..................."
