  1. I totally disagree, the commentary of Chris Gorham is much better than Roy Wallers, now you can actually follow the play, and know roughly what is happening in the match. When Roy Waller, bless him,was commentating,i couldn''t follow what was going on,and sometimes didn''t know which team had scored when a goal went in.Neil Adams can''t win!he''s criticised for sitting on the fence to much, and when he does give his opinion is told to keep his opinions to himself and is too cocky.
  2. Much has been made of our need for a 20 goal a season striker. But comparing our statistics to tomorrow nights visitors,Stoke, their centre halves have scored 14 league goals between them this season, our centre halves haven''t managed a single goal! Our midfield is equally as pitiful, contributing just eight goals between them all season.Seems to me,that in the summer,we need to concentrate on buying a goalscoring midfielder and winger, plus defenders whoo offer more of a threat at set pieces.Anybody else feel the same?
  3. I can''t help but think that people are going way overboard about Mark Fotheringham ! Last season he was woeful. Now i fully accept that he got himself fit pre season, and has been much better this year, but if he''s our saviour, heaven help us. He came on against Southampton, and was widely acclaimed as having changed the match single handedly. From my memory, it was the back pass that  picked up by the keeper that changed the game. He had a good second half against Barnsley, after an awful first half, and he was playing in the dreadful performance against Bury. He still has work to do to convince me he''s a really good player, let alone a saviour.
  4. I suggest anyone who gave Huckerby six or less, should look at the extended highlights on Canary World. He was involved in every worthwhile attack we had, even in the second half! Though i admit he has not been at his best this season, it has become fashionable to slate him after every performance. On his day he''s still our most potent threat, and as such, we should back him every game.
  5. I saw Mcleod playing for MK Dons in last years Div. 2 play offs, and in those games he couldn''t trap a bag of sand! Hopefully, he just had 2 off games, and he''s a much better player than i saw. Quashie should be an excellent signing, if fully fit, and can control the midfield, which is what we have been lacking this season.
  6. SO Sorry, can''t agree that either of these two would make any difference to Norwich''s plight if they came back. Smart is a good prospect, but currently is only on the bench for 2nd Division Mk Dons. Jarvis, i''m afraid, is the case of promised so much, but delivered so little. He is also on the bench for Kilmarnock, and has only scored 1 or 2 goals in his months on loan. We need quality loan players quickly, otherwise we''ll be to far adrift to even contemplate staying in this league.
  7. Unless somebody can tell me otherwise, i don''t think i saw Phil Parkinson on the Charlton bench for today"s game against QPR. Maybe i''m reading to much into this, but is he on his way here?
  8. Maybe of interest, but Glenn Roeder came into our shop in Newmarket yesterday. On his way to, or from , an interview at Norwich?
  9. How short some fans memories are.Huckerby is not a team player! don''t make me laugh. In our promotion season he set up far more goals than he scored himself, and virtually got us promoted single handed. For the past four seasons he has been far and away our best player.Maybe his best days are behind him, but we will only know this once a new manager is put in place, and Huckerby is played in his best position. As for throwing his toys out of the pram, he is only telling us he truth, this is weakest Norwich team for many years, and he is obviously frustrated playing with Division One standard players.
  10. I agree 100% with you Huddy.Magiltons  had far less money to spend on players than Grant, and from performances i''ve seen this season produced a much better team. You have to make sure what ever money you have you spend wisely. For the past 3 seasons Norwich''s record on signings is poor to say the least.Reading won the Championship spending virtually no money, but still managed to bring in quality players like Kitson ( who wanted to come to Norwich from Cambridge ),Doyle,Hunt and Sidwell. The excuse of no money,is one given by every poor manager out there.Good managers get on with the job and produce winning teams!
  11. Perhaps our gloating at the demise of Ipswich was a little premature, as i have just seen them play football of a quality we can only dream about ! There strikeforce of Lee, Walters and Conaugo cost 150,000 pounds and looked far more potent than our 2 million strikers. It doesn''t seem to matter who they sell, Ipswich always seem to put together a team that plays good football ( unlike Norwich ). I think it will be a miracle if we get anything from them home or away, and fear we will be at opposite ends of the table come May.
  12. I would just like some opinions on David Strihavka.I''ve seen him play 3 times now and must confess am getting a little worried in what we have signed. For 6''2" he gets shrugged off the ball too easily for my liking, his 1st touch doesn''t seem that good, and he doesn''t look much of a goal threat. I know it''s early days, and he needs time to adjust to the pace of the English game, but am i the only one who fears we may have spent a lot of money on a player who just might not cut it in the Championship.I hope i am wrong, but i fear he may be a player who spends one year in the English game before returning home unable to settle.[:(]
  13. Sorry can''t say i''m ecstatic at bringing Russell back for 600k.Average to good championship midfielder. Not what''s needed if we are to be serious contenders for promotion. I would love to be proved wrong, but i don''t see Russell adding to much to the squad we already have.
  14. My heart tells me top six, my head tells me mid table if we don''t sign a commanding CB and a creative midfielder.
  15.  Francis was great for us!You''re having a laugh. He was every bit as lazy as Etuhu,he had very little to do with us getting promoted,he scored 7 goals in 41 appearences and did precious little else. One word why we got promoted that season HUCKERBY,no other reason,he must have scored or set up at least half the goals we scored.Francis played 1/2 dozen good games around xmas time in the premiership when he scored 5 out of the 7 goals he scored that season.I will neither cheer or boo him,but no more rubbish about him being brilliant.
