1.
Yes, but if someone wants to do it on a massive scale it''s disruptive. In such a case why not just start one new thread and link to all the previous posts, rather than flood the first page of threads? 2.
We did delete some of them Wiz, but we allowed a few to stay to allow Millo to make his point. Ideally we need a ''don''t allow replies to this thread after X days'' option, but this message board system doesn''t have it.
Well done Vince. Its a valid point. If people are allowed to slag us off for the sort of posts they used to make only weeks ago, accusing us of not being true fans etc, its only right that we provide evidence of what they have said in the past. Well done mods!

Now the old 1st wiz could moan for England, but even he managed to praise at times! there are some on here who cannot say anything good or positive about our brillant club. I don''t care what club it is, City have the best fans in the world, okay we might not have the wealth of some clubs, but we''re an honest club. We have the best disabled area for supporters in the land, if not Europe, the best food, and of course its all based in Norfolk. As a Suffolk person who spends an awful lot of time in Norfolk, I know the pleasure I get when I travel there. In Peter Grant, we now have a forthright and honest guy at the helm of good ship City, and whilst Delia might have some tiny faults ( who hasn''t?) I''d rather she was here than some foreign ''wildcard'' investor. If it takes 10 years to get promoted, so what?, God willing, we will still be supporting the team then. It breaks my heart to read some of the bile written on here about our club, I cannot believe or accept that any true City fan would write those kind of things, yes, I know in the past I had my moments, but never to the level of whats happening now. I''m damn proud of my club, I always have been. I''m dead pleased how Granty''s team is coming along, I''m also pleased he''s got rid of the ''Costa Del Colney'' brigade (including Safri!) Oh no doubt, the usual predictable insults will now follow, and from the same old posters. I just wonder if things are so bad, why they bother to post at all?. They''ll say its because they care, sorry, but thats utter tripe!, if you care you don''t hurt the people you care about!. The funny thing is that they may say we post because we care but really what progress have they made on their campaign front, nothing! Unless your counting Cluck''s post count which is an achievement I suppose, but you know what they say about quantity over quality. As for your last point Wiz, good luck getting Smudger or Cluck to apoligise...
So im arrogant and stupid because i hate the fact the club are not progressing in any manner on the pitch? Im all of this because for the last 10 or so seasons we''ve plodded along whilst being told every year that things are getting better? Im not going to carry on with my opinions of whats wrong with this club because ive said them all before but your the one im laughing at son and one day when you take off your little yellow and grren tinted glasses and get in the real world [although being a student i will excuse you for the time being] you might just might ee why i was laughing. Toodle pip.
No your naive and foolish for not accepting that at any point over the last ten seasons the football on the pitch has not progressed. Then you say you are a student. Interesting. If you truly followed City you would remember the state the team was in back in 1997? Somehow from your comments I don''t think you realise that from that point up untill the last couple of seasons we have actually progressed on the pitch. And you can not factually dismiss that. You can not argue that the play-off final was not progression, you can not argue that promotion to the premiership was not progression. And in some ways you can not argue that sacking Worthington was not at least an attempt at progression because it was recognised that he was no longer taking us forward. You see Arthur thats what the issue is, in the name of your own blinded cause you refuse to accept the progress - progress that can not be denied. The truth of the matter is, it is the progress that has brought out the people that want to complain. If we had not made the play-off final or the premiership what would people be complaining about? It is the very fact that we have made progress but recently seem to have taken two steps back that has got on some peoples nerves, but then the club has made an effort to progress.
No i dont say im a student-read it again my friend. I say to UEA graduate { who being of UEA origin was or is a student } "being a student i will excuse you!". Anyone who reads posts properly will see this is incorrect, you really are scraping the barrel mate. Im not a student im a lot older than you think, as people who actually read posts on here will be able to tell you. Progress that cant be denied eh....so since winning the league please point out what progress? Relegation? 16th last year? Please honestly im waiting.
You say about the progress of a ''''campaign'''' by the anti boards but do you not think there will be any disgruntled fans next season if [and i know this is hypothetical] we end up mid table? you see imo its been going on far to long and if we do not achieve this season your opinion will be a minority. Ive had enough because i just cant see any change with the latest transfers in what will be an even tougher league this season. So you might say ''''wheres the progress in there campaign'''' but more importantly where is it on the pitch? to me that question is far more important so im acting now.
 5.
As I said, typical replies so far................ I''ll go further, how many of the moaners are actually fully paid up members of the club?. I know I am, are you?. In short, I''m entitled to change, I have, so again I say to you, deal with it!. Either back Granty and the club..............or ship out.[:D]
Well ive been a fully paid up sucker for far to long so i let my season ticket go this season. Sorry wiz but im not going through it all again [the board is the main reason my grand children the nudge i needed] but i will continue to support PG and the players/fans and anyone else who wants our club to succeed the end , BUT not the board and thats it really. I cant support a board who imo are holding this club back. Sorry but thats how i feel and you wont get me changing my mind Wiz! Regards.

Have you apologised for the vile abuse you directed at people on this board and at the club yet? Predictable reply but you bring it on yourself. When exactly was the last negative thread may i ask or are you going down the attention seeking road again? "No true city fan would write those things"-do you class yourself under that? "Theyll say its because they care but thats utter tripe" - does that go for your comments aswell-did you not care? Ive moaned about the board but ive praised players and managers, its my right as a fan. "Delia might have her faults"- yes she has and i recall you posting several messages personally abusing her so get off your high horse as self elected spokesman for NCFC fans and stop being a hypocrite! Cheers anyway

 9. With a little bit, with a little bit, with a litttttle bit of bloomin luck......Your lot will be playing us again season next! How you can talk it up after the scandel at upton is beyond me, i think i''ll stick with our lot and thats saying something !!

 12. If he''s not at the dentist then he''s been sold but it makes no difference because the cash recieved has been budgeted for.
 13.
Safri has gone. He''s not even on the new squad pic.
No no no he''s not gone anywhere ive been told by the board that he''s having wisdom teeth removed.
 14. Well thats excellant news we''re going to sign yet more Norwich old boys. How long before Mendham gets out?!! I rate Russell but its surely to fill the gap for when Safri goes to the Dentists!!
 15.
"Consistantly wasted my money over the past few years . . ." Can you expand on this with examples? I say this because I think you will find that if you refer to players that is the Managers responsibility - they don''t choose the players to sign the manager does. If you are refering to using money off the field then you are going to have to get specific as what you define as a waste of money. Some money went on expanding Carrow Road by replacing what was more like a big bus shelter with a fantastic new stand, if you think that was a waste of money then fine but I can assure you that was more or less compulsery as the old South Stand was on the verge of being sanctioned as un-safe.
What? do i really have to explain how they have wasted my money? are you really suggesting everything is fine at CR? Did i say anything about the new stand? are you trying to put words in my mouth? am i pi@@ing in the wind trying to understand how people still think NCFC are successful under Madonna and co?!!!!!!!!!!
 16.

Arthur. While you come across as a decent old boy and as someone who cares about all things NCFC, I do feel that your constant moaning about the board is getting tiresome. In your letter in tonights evening news you highlight three things where you think the club has let us down. 1.....The transfer debacle. What transfer debacle ?  Every action, decision and transfer has been explained by the club and debated on here in detail so if you have more insight into the clubs financial matters than the rest of us perhaps you will share them. 2.....You say the board tell us ''''time after time'''' we are only a small club. Apart from a couple of ''asides'' I don''t recall them drumming the point home. And if refusing to pay players like Varney £20k per week makes us ''''small'''', so be it.  3.....You finish your letter by saying Peter Grant has his hands firmly tied. I seem to remember him saying during the Jan transfer window how he was happy with what he had to spend and I haven''t heard him complain this time either. Arthur. You and I are from the same generation. We both remember the blankets coming round. The corrugated tin loos. Getting soaked in the open stands. We both have many memories of our club (good and bad). We have both seen the club rise from div 3(south) to a club that has bought TWO players at £3m. We have both felt the highs and lows along the way. The difference between us now is that I just don''t believe people when the accuse the board of lying, being unambitious, black holes etc. I firmly believe that this board is MORE ambitious than you or I because they are prepared to back up their own judgement with their own money. Sorry Arthur, I just don''t see any point in continuously knocking the board for the sake of it. Either buy into the club so you can make your opinions count or go and buy another season ticket and start ENJOYING football again. lappinitup
Sorry lappin...but I''ve seen more sense dribble out of a cow''s bottom.  Arthur is so much on the point with regards to the genuine mainstream supporter out there and just because it conflicts with the screwball mentality of the ovines on this small forum it does not warrant such patronisation. It''s a highly valid opinion...and one well supported by the realists. Arthur speaks clearly for me and many others like me and while you may disagree....the next few months will confirm just how right he is. Let''s just hope we''re not down a league by then and with a mountain to climb.........
If you''re so sure that there are so many of you then you should have a protest now and prove how mainstream you are.
Don''t be such a silly billy......It''s not all about protesting and proving a point as time will do that quite adequately .  It''s the miopic ovines who will feel the devastatation not us....and we''ll be there when the glory boys move on to pick up the pieces.
But you can''t deny that the underlying message in your post is that you WANT the the club to do badly so that you can be Mr. I Told You So otherwise you''re just a keyboard warrior on a little web site..
This forum is just a little bit of harmless fun and by saying "I told you so" if the worst happened  it would be little more than me/us goading those who gave me/us flak for simply being outspoken. It''s making a game out of something everyone on here cares passionately about.....Norwich City the FOOTBALL CLUB. What we say here doesn''t matter a jot regarding events at CR and far from getting bitter and twisted about it all...I really do save that for the more more pressing things I see in the world around me. NCFC would survive in whatever form Smith finally left it in....and I (and probably many of us on here) would come along and scrape us the pieces. If I wanted the club to fail, why would I be concerned about our hopelessly inadequate squad? Why would I criticise Smith and Co. so vociferously for the damage they have done to the club? Why would I slate those "supporters" who I feel lack drive and ambition? Why would I have such concerns about the cynical "off the field activities" still being exposed? Why would I throw in my season tickets and stay away from the club I grew up with? Why do I complain about the season ticket scam which continues to exclude the casual grass roots supporter in favour of the well heeled modern "spectator"? Don''t confuse my "concern" with "negativity"....as I see the stagnation so many on here seem to applaud as the true "negative" slowly driving us into oblivion. Sitting on your hands and "hoping for the best" won''t bring about the change needed....whereas what the likes of Smudger and the restless group I''m placed in may just do. NCFC is a business in 2007...nothing more....the days of it being a true community asset died when Smith arrived. Just like with any other business such as Tesco...if it continually turned out poor grade produce we would have a right to complain....and that''s all some of us are doing. NCFC will happily take your money and do with it what it will...but ask it for something in return and somehow it seems like the end of the world. It''s not our friend and it''s not representative of our great city any more....those days are passed. The canary yellow shirts don''t automatically mean Norwich or Norfolk anymore...they mean Delia Smith and tv cooking. Personally I''d rather have a grass roots side in a lower league if it meant it was returned to it''s fans. Yes a return to the glitzy Premiership would be nice...but another repeat of the humiliation caused by Smith last time would kill the club as a genuine force for good. Let it happen if you choose...but don''t expect those of us who love the club rather than those who run it to go down meekly with you...''cos that just isn''t going to happen.
Excellent.
 17.

I''ve emailed him too in the past and he replied in a very detailed fashion on the same day. Tell me how many clubs have got people on the board who will do that. Look forward to seeing the questions from the Norwich 3 as someone called them.
Ive forwarded my opinions to the board on many occasions and im still waiting for a reply! How many club boards do that?!!
If what you emailed the board is anything like the over the top rants you post on here it''s no wonder they have never replied.  You have to ask the questions with a little dignity in a polite and friendly manner.  Do this and they will answer you.  Especially now your noteriety is increasing since you have been published in the local rag. By the way.  I am not critisising your views.  I just think you could sometimes make your point with a little less aggression.
Thanks for that Dad. Ive sent 3 letters in the past 2 seasons both well worded and polite but have yet to recieve any feed back whatsoever. Maybe they have very selective opinions of the letters/e-mails they like to recieve [just a thought]. My thoughts and opinions of this board are such that now i dont really care how i present myself with regards to them. They have consistantly wasted my money over the past few years so imo i think i justify my strong stand. If they refuse to talk to me now whats it going to be like for them if we have yet anougher poor season?
 18.
does no one here recognise ambition? Dean Ashton was a young man wanting to play at the highest level.. not a piss poor championship side. he moved job to fulfil that ambition. how many of u will cheer when he scores for England? have none of u changed job? to go somewhere better and achieve more with more money and better prospects?  Compare that to Mercenaries Earnshaw and Etuhu who signed and from day one never had any intention of sticking around with their clauses.... yet they get hero-worshipped on here by some of you. jas :)
Another superb post Jas.
 19.
In response to arthur''s pessimism i have to agree on a few points; the announcement by delia that only norfolk based investment would be considered is hugely flawed, especially in the modern football climate, and such an overtly xenophobic approach to seeking investors is doomed to failure in the long run Secondly, the transfer debacle was just that, not that we haven''t adequetely replaced the outbound players, but that board allowed such pitiful release clauses. For instance, we made a loss on Earnshaw if we factor in wages, agents fees and signing on fees. While there is the argument that we would not have been able to purchase the players in the first place if it wasn''t for said clauses, this is mere speculation. The fact is that we made a loss on our best player last season, and despite Etuhu''s inconsistency 1.5m is pittance for a player of his calibre... All of these points can easily result in the conclusion of a board lacking ambition, and worse of all, business nous....i just hope that, like others have mentioned, we don''t end up in League One still thinking everything is hunky dorey....however pessimism aside, we should all get behind the team, as if we can sort the backline out we do have the makings of a half decent team....the first time i''ve thought that in many a year...
Well said mate but no doubt someone wi still come up with a pitifull excuse...EVEN IF WE GET RELAGATED!

How about writing to the board  with your questions and see what replies you get cause I''m sure the Norwich EEN doesn''t even reach Stowmarket where she lives so she and others on the board won''t be aware of your concerns.
I have and im still waiting for a reply.
 22.

I dont think it''s as clear-cut as saying it was definitely PG or the boards fault.  Afterall aren''t you forgetting another important component of any possible failure/success - the PLAYERS themselves.  The way I see it, we have a squad that is more than capable of challenging for the play-off positions at the very least (that is providing that we bring in a new centre back and central midfielder).  Therefore, if they fall short once more, I think certain questions must be asked about the player''s commitment to the cause.  Any failure this season (or any season for that matter) can have many contributory factors, including injuries, international call-ups, players leaving (against the managers wishes), insufficient transfer activity during the pre-season / January transfer window period and of course employing the wrong tactics/players. Whilst both the board and the manager can be held to account over some of the above factors, its not as easy as saying it was one particular parties fault, especially as some factors are unavoidable.  Overall I think with a little bit of luck and a couple more quality additions, we may have no real need to blame anyone for anything.
I think it must be clear cut after 10 or so seasons dont you?
Erm no I don''t and if you''d read the post properly you''d certainly have realised that Arthur.
Please explain?
To be honest Arthur it''s not "rocket science".  You stated that you believed the situation to be very clear-cut and proceeded to ask whether or not I did (rhetorically or not).  I had previously explained my thoughts (as early on as the first line of my original post) and so replied as such in the second post.
