  1. Pretty obvious team selection. I'm concerned about the bench though. Of the eight outfield subs, you've got four kids plus two players (Batth and van Hooijdonk) who Wagner doesn't seem to trust. Gibbs and Fassnacht are the only two viable options.
  2. Anybody who goes to Spoons is an Ipswich fan and has posters of Fabian Wilnis in their bedroom.
  3. Have you read this forum recently? Seems like there's plenty to moan about, apparently...
  4. I can think of three posters on this forum who genuinely irritate/irritated me and this guy is two of them.
  5. Crouch was a very good loan with four goals in 15 games, but I'm not sure if he deserves to be anywhere near this team unless he's being judged on the player he became rather the one who featured here. The best striker I've seen in a Norwich shirt since I was realistically old enough to form opinions of players, which is probably shortly after the turn of the century, is Dean Ashton.
  6. Well, let's be honest, you were well known for your unnecessarily condescending, confrontational, mocking tone under your one of your previous guises which created argument after argument before you were finally banned, and you intentionally used it here in your response to me. And leaving this thread is probably a good idea. After all, you were also well known under your old account for a staggering lack of understanding of transfers and contracts.
  7. The wages which he'd ask for and likely be offered by another club, ****. EDIT: Wow, I didn't think the swear filter would censor 'n u m b n u t s'
  8. I mentioned on another thread the other day that it's difficult to envisage a situation in which he stays. If we don't go up, it's unlikely we'd be prepared to offer the salary which he'd likely command. If we do go up, I don't think he's quite good enough, and I'd rather take a punt on someone else. Either way, McCallum is in exactly the same boat, he's no worse than Giannoulis, and would likely be prepared to accept a lower wage. So for me, Giannoulis leaves and McCallum is a maybe.
  9. Is this another attempt to organise one of those protests where even the would-be protesters don't know what they're protesting about?
  10. This is actually an interesting point. Ipswich have already set an all-time Championship record for most goals by substitutes this season and whilst our starting XI is strong, we have **** all on the bench at the moment.
  11. And to find a club with far more money than sense who are willing to spend £250m on players and staff in a 12-month period.
  12. Exactly this; I'd say that we should concentrate more on staying ahead of Coventry, Hull and Preston rather than catching West Brom. Also, the fact that Birmingham got three points shouldn't be overlooked. If we need something in the final game, I'd rather not face a team needing points to survive.
  13. I really can't say I'm bothered in the slightest by that, personally. Not sure if that's because I've grown up watching lots of football so have always been used to watching games all across the weekend, or whether having had a season ticket in Italy just made me used to random kick off times at short notice. But it never bothered me then either.
  14. Leicester winning today puts more pressure on Ipswich ahead of Saturday. David Wagner, you genius.
  15. A little from question one and a little from question three is my opinion. Resisting the urge to go full Real Buh on this one.
  16. Bologna are 2-0 up, so that's done and dusted. Two absolutely stunning strikes as well.
  17. If that was really 30 years ago, and not just a recent mock up, then yeah, incredibly accurate. Why didn't anyone listen!?
  18. I think tomorrow's game will be tight, so the value is on us as outsiders. Sargent anytime scorer at 3/1 or the enhanced Norwich 2-1 at 16/1 look the best value.
  19. Yeah, we'd have to spend a lot of money all over the pitch, and so there wouldn't be much for a new starting left back. But I'd rather take a gamble on someone relatively cheap and unproven who might be good enough rather than give a contract to someone who we're almost certain isn't up to it. However, we're getting a little too far ahead of ourselves even discussing this.
  20. Sebastien Bassong. His Norwich career was killed around Easter, but later resurrected thanks to the second coming of the Messiah.
  21. Stuart Webber. Every time he opens his mouth, I think 'Jesus Christ' 🤦🏻‍♂️
  22. Oh, and I also agree with this. We'd need a whole new starting back four if we were to get promotion.
  23. Spot on. With Giannoulis, I think that if we go up, he isn't good enough to start, and if we don't, he's too expensive. McCallum is no worse and wouldn't command the wages Giannoulis does, so I'd keep him if we stay in the Championship and possibly also as an inexpensive backup if we go up.
