Don''t believe what you read in the papers. How do they know what''s happening without seeing Lamberts contract. Basically Lambert was on a 12 month rolling contract. So if we sacked him, the club would have to pay him 12 months wages. And it works the other way round too.. As Lambert walked out without serving his notice, he owes the Club 12 months of his wages which Villa should pay. This is what really annoys me about Lambert. Now he''s gone, he won''t give a sh*t about Norwich and its fans. I for one hope he struggles at Villa the way this has all gone about.

Lambert must be bonkers if he wants to go there!

The thing is, if Lambert does well for you, it will only be a matter of time before a "bigger club comes knocking". And Lambert will do exactly what he has done to us and his previous club Colchester and resign. So even though you want Lambert to be a big success, the more successful he is with you, the more chance he will move on again. So good luck on that one buddy!

Rhodes way way overpriced Pacheco really nice chap but I don''t think he really did that much while on loan, and we didn''t play him that much while on loan in the Championship. Been linked to a few of the big clubs in the prem, but nothing happened yet. Fantastic player and would be a really big signing if Lambert pulled it off. Only got a year left on his contract too. Excellent post and I believe in what you are saying. If the club want to remain in the prem, they NEED to increase the transfer budget each year were in the prem to slowly become a stronger and stronger team to establish ourselves in this league. Otherwise we will never get anywhere and will soon be back in the Championship. I can understand Paul Lambert is not happy if he is not given more money than last year. Paul Lambert wants to take Norwich as high as he can and if the club are not going to increase the budget, he will feel he has already taken the club as high as he possibly can. And if he decides to move on, we only have McNally and the board to blame. If Lambert does move on, I fear we will be back in the Championship in no time. It''s really like any other business, you increase the funds every year to make it a success.

What is alarming is the story about Lambert only been offered the same budget as last year for new players, which he isn''t happy about, and who can blame him. I''d would rather spend the 7 million Leeds want for Snodgrass on paul lamberts old club, Borussia Dortmund''s Shinji Kagawa. Only got a year left on his contract and 10 times better than Snodgrass. I''m sure one of the big boys will sign him over the summer. Still I can dream!
