1.

Rather like the abuse you and Arthur Whittle get on this board - after carrying the attack upon the club for years.
Wrong again, having a go at the board is not attacking the club, it is complaining about their lack of financial support for the club. The board consists of rich people. Their only purpose in life as far as I am concerned is to supply money again and again and again (until the poor dears are down to their last few million hopefully) so that we can have the best possible team.
Don''t really need to add anything to that. Must really enhance the esteem in which Norfolk people are held.
 2. You b*st*rd!! I''ve spent years trying to forget that freakin'' song, now it''s taking up valuable (ever-decreasing) brain space again! AARRRGGHHH   "January Sick & tired of ...." NNOOOOOOOOOOO!
 3.

Given that we had Bertrand and Rusell playing today, does that mean that what happens on the pitch and what we think of it is essentially arbitary?
Bravo! I''m more of the post-modernist outlook myself.   Sure we''ve seen it all before, but as long as we keep getting young players in who want to battle it out and take City up the league, I don''t mind seeing it again and again and again... Heidigger
Two chairs in interview set. Smart interviewer and footballer (who is not over bright) in blazer. Interviewer From the plastic arts we turn to football. Last night in the Stadium of Light, Jarrow, we witnessed the resuscitation of a great footballing tradition, when Jarrow United came of age, in a European sense, with an almost Proustian display of modern existentialist football. Virtually annihilating by midfield moral argument the now surely obsolescent catennachio defensive philosophy of Signor Alberto Fanffino. Bologna indeed were a side intellectually out argued by a Jarrow team thrusting and bursting with aggressive Kantian positivism and outstanding in this fine Jarrow team was my man of the match, the arch-thinker, free scheming, scarcely ever to be curbed, midfield cognoscento, Jimmy Buzzard. Buzzard Good evening Brian. Interviewer Jimmy, at least one ageing football commentator was gladdened last night by the sight of an English footballer breaking free of the limpid tentacles of packed Mediterranean defence. Buzzard Good evening Brian. Interviewer Were you surprised at the way the Italians ceded midfield dominance so early on in the game? Buzzard Well Brian... I''m opening a boutique. Interviewer This is of course symptomatic of a new breed of footballer as it is indeed symptomatic of your whole genre of player, is it not? Buzzard Good evening Brian. Interviewer What I''m getting at, Jimmy, is you seem to have discovered a new concept with a mode in which you dissected the Italian defence, last night. Buzzard (pauses for thought) I hit the ball first time and there it was in the back of the net. (smiles and looks around) Interviewer Do you think Jarrow will adopt a more defensive posture for the first leg of the next tie in Turkey? Buzzard (confidently) I hit the ball first time and there it was in the back of the net. Interviewer Yes, yes - but have you any plans for dealing with the free-scoring Turkish forwards? Buzzard Well Brian... I''m opening a boutique.                                       Several sketches later .....   Cut back to the interview studio; Jimmy Buzzard is sitting on the floor. Buzzard     I''ve fallen off my chair, Brian.
 4.
Given that we had Bertrand and Rusell playing today, does that mean that what happens on the pitch and what we think of it is essentially arbitary? In which case that might explain why some think it''s black and others white? [:^)]
A few more aptly named players & we could replace OTBC with: Immanuel Kant was a real pissant Who was very rarely stable. Heidegger, Heidegger was a boozy beggar Who could think you under the table. David Hume could out-consume Schopenhauer and Hegel And Wittgenstein was a beery swine Who was just as schloshed as Schlegel. There''s nothing Nietzsche couldn''t teach ya ''Bout the raising of the wrist. Socrates, himself, was permanently pissed. John Stuart Mill, of his own free will, On half a pint of shandy was particularly ill. Plato, they say, could stick it away-- Half a crate of whisky every day. Aristotle, Aristotle was a bugger for the bottle. Hobbes was fond of his dram, And René Descartes was a drunken fart. ''I drink, therefore I am.'' Yes, Socrates, himself, is particularly missed, A lovely little thinker, But a bugger when he''s pissed.
 5.
No offence taken but I am truthfully not sure how to answer it.  I just want the best for my club and there is no doubt that I envy you your Manager and the contacts he clearly has and, while unsatisfactory to many of your posters, you are in a different league from my club both in history and financially. My expectations are certainly less because at the moment I would just like my club to stay at this level if that is possible and if it is not possible I would at least expect us to go down fighting. And with our admittedly modest signings I hope, if we are to go down, we shall do so kicking and screaming.  That is the least I expect. I am thrilled by our four signings - two of whom have kicked a ball for us quite well I think and two hopefully will do so soon. However I still don''t see the point or the validity of putting down players, manager, board, directors before any of us have seen how the players get on in the games yet to come. This may just be me.
Well said sir. An object lesson in how to honestly, realistically BUT, nevertheless, passionately support your team.
 6.
I have no problem with the "young and hungry" signings. However;  we have 3 strikers - one is 38, one is 18/19 and will have his off days and the other is 32 and missing chances by the sackload. If one of them gets injured we have major problems. I am frankly amazed that Roeder has not added another striker to the books even if only another loanee or even a journeyman type such as Robbie Blake. we have 7 loan players of which we can only use 5 at any one time. Lets hope that any injuries only happen to the loan players! It would seem that most of the loan players are here for experience and not with a view to permanent moves. I appreciate that this may change but if any of them of massive successes then they will go back to their clubs or their clubs will be looking for a hefty transfer fee. Will any money allegedly available actually materialise in the summer? We all said that last year but it appears Grants dealings were basically from the proceeds of Earnie & Etuhu. I can understand that the murmours of discontent as we are still only 5 points off relegation and an injury to either of the centre backs or strikers leaves us desperately short of experienced cover.
I understand your concern about strikers, but Henry is capable of scoring goals from the wing & Gibbs sounds a bit special ... "Kieran Gibbs is about 12 yards out on the left side of the box when Armand Traore''s pass comes to him. He is not tightly marked. The nearest defender is about three yards away. Gibbs must be left-footed: he spins suddenly to his left and hits the ball early and hard and just inside the near post. He was more than three yards wide of the near post when he took the shot. An explosive shot by a kid who looks like a natural predator.Arsenal need a bit more of that at Old Trafford." Perhaps the goals might be spread around a bit more with these sort of players in the team - who knows, it might even help Curo by taking the pressure off him? And don''t forget, Hux can weigh in with some important goals. I agree it''s a bit risky, but I personally think it''s a fairly small risk - & it could be totally fabulous!
 7.
Hucks thoughts at Colney this morning ( which I hope will make the pinkun front page very soon)
"Long after I''m gone, there''ll still be Norwich City. I''m only going to be playing for a couple more years - and then I''ll be watching Norwich City."
Now lets all get behind him for the rest of the season and reward the loyalty he''s shown to us!
What a man!  So much for his over-inflated ego.Genuine humility. A true hero of the old school. I''m not ashamed to admit it brought a tear to my eye. Shows up so many of the "supporters" on here for what they are.
 8.
5) Glenn will build up a reputation for Norwich (and enhance his own) as being a good place to send your youngsters on loan.  This will be invalueble!  It will enable us to be in a good position for season long loans nexty season.  I doubt anyone would object if we ended up with loans like Larsson and Bentdner that got brum up.
Totally agree with this. Footballers join particular clubs for a variety of reasons, but I reckon joining a club that''s going places must come pretty high up the prority list for most of them. Suspect NCFC will be a much more attractive proposition come summer.
 9.
You say its a fact we seem to have?? Theres no fact that Roeder is his own man. Theres about as much fact in that as me saying ''''its a fact GR has his strings pulled by the board. He can only operate with what he has and my fear is if the board fails to back him in the next window and he continues doing a good job at CR we''ll have a Mr O''Neill scenario on our hands.
Don''t spread it about, but I''ve heard there actually is no such person as Glenn Roeder!!! It''s all a conspiracy consocted by Delia, Doomcaster & their cronies. He is, in fact, a hologram, invented by a mad German scientist (Strangecove, or something) whose research has been funded by squirreling away unspent transfer funds & has been carried out in a secret underground bunker at Colney ........ I believe the next part of their hideous plan involves annexing Poland ...... I''m going for a nice lie down now.
 10.
Sorry Nutty but this unbeaten run has just hidden the reality of the situation.
Abso-bloody-lutely priceless!!!
 11.

Well that''s just great isn''t it? Sums this pathetic lot up, we''ve got half a dozen first team Lonee''s in, and we sell a potential future England Keeper to...Ahem...Peterborough for less than half a million. We''ll be fine fine, we''ve got a couple of Reading youngsters in [I''m sure we sold Flecky to them for eff all],oh how the mighty falls hey? Well at least we''ll have the best 5 a side team in the land next year, must be great for confidence.I love it when they say ''''Dave the striker cost us 1 million [oh yes, make it out that we''re spending the money, and, when it suits them....wait...it cost us...two hundred grand!!].....Spin bloody spin.....!! OOOOH i forgot...we''ll hads of money to spend in the summer....as a * feeder club to READING.!!
Just to add, Arthur, that you''ve missed our ten game unbeaten run including 3 out of 5 away wins from your list. Glad to be of assistance. [;)]
Sorry, McDP, But that''s irrelevant. To Arhtur & his ilk, the only thing that matters is being in the right. The success of  NCFC can only be on their terms. They call themselves supporters, but all they really want is to be confirmed in their own tiny-minded (sic!) World view; if it''s it not done their way, they positively want the club to fail. They may say they''re concerned for the club, but in reality thy''re far more concerned for their own egos. It''s good to know Alf Garnett''s even madder brother is alive & well & living in Norfolk.
 12. Wiz! You done me wrong! I personally think that self-opinionated, flatulent, attention-seeking posters are vastly underrated & should be encouraged. No, I mean, where would we all be with only sane, rational, closely argued opinions appearing on this board? I suspect our mammaries would drop off through sheer boredom.
 13.
Skysports, Keiren Gibbs signed from Arsenal on loan, first loanee i am happy about, very good prospect.
NURSE! NURSE! RICKY''S GONE ALL STRANGE!
 14. Hmm. Now let me see. Whose judgement should I trust? A very experienced (at prem level ) & ambitious manager with excellent contacts in the game, who has rocketed the club from being totally adrift at the bottom of the league to approaching mid-table - when other struggling clubs have been improving as well, I might add - or some moaning, bipolar, cantripally-challenged old git who loves the sound of his own posts? Hmm. Now let me see .....
 15.
I agree. 1st wizard surely you see ther logic. We will finish mid table so why spend our smallish budget on over-priced players.   Also we are less likely to attract players now due to our low position. Also look at Stoke - loan players do them well.   I would also like good permanent players but i can see sense here.
Good point. Players decide to move to a club for a number of reasons; if a player can see a club has a good manager who has propelled his team from relegation to mid-table & above, he''s more likely to feel he''s on to a good thing with a team heading for promotion. In fact, if the existing players were loans it means his chances of making a name for himself are even better.
 16. I am becoming ever more impressed with Glenn; the quality, & CHARACTER, of the players he has brought in is exceptional. People are complaining about the thinness of the squad, but I''d rather have one Ched Evans than any number of Ian Murrays. Look at the game tonight - did you see what he did there? By getting Bertrand in, a class player who can attack or defend down the left side, he was able to bring Hux on without weakening the defence. Pattison was good cover for Fozzy (anybody know how he is?) & Roeder was able to bring on Curo as a lively replacement for Ched. Yes , I know there are too many loan players - though I''ll be surprised if any go back, as they''re now getting excellent experience as part of a proper, footballing team - so it would be nice to get new faces in. BUT ... only if they are of the same high standard!
 17.

More like Billy Bunter IMO. Can anyone remember him?
I can, Tom Browns Schooldays yes?
No, the "owl of the remove" in Greyfriars School (Magnet comic, 1950''s). God I''m so old ....
 18.
hopefully out looking for somebody to buy her and her mates out and put us all out of our misery.
I fear it would take a lot more than that to put you out of your particular misery.
 19. I posted this about a week ago (Bigger fish to fry) & didn''t get a single response! Hope you have better luck than me.
 20. Now then. is this stuff regurgitated from here or is the stuff on here regurgitated from there? Or is it independent confirmation? I''m confused                                           http://www.clubfanzine.com/norwich_city/showNews.php?id=7820
