1.
I suppose if being charitable you could say he''s realised that what we e brought in is not good enough and has moved to rectify it quickly. Had we got beyond the transfer window it could have been disastrous. But yes it seems to be a tacit admittance that our other defensive signings are ropey.
Raggett isn''t here yet, Zimmerman was fourth division (and cheap), Klose''s been injured, and Russell Martin seems spent. I think the hope was that at least one of Klose and Martin could still do a job at this level.Franke''s been thrown into the deep end, but I''d have expected a better showing from a £3million signing.I can understand Webber not wanting to sign a £5million player, reportedly on £40,000 a week, who isn''t going to improve and isn''t Premiership standard. But I think he realises that if he doesn''t do something to shore up the defence, Farke isn''t going to be given any more time by the fans.
 2.
Deal is done, he is flying down tonight to sign, will be announced this evening or tommorrow am latest. They didnt want to sign anyone, but felt they had to after the weekend,[:O]
If you''re wrong, you''ll have to sit on the naughty step with Waveney, and be tarred with the same brush as "Wes is out for the season" [;)]
 3.
Nelson i think it will be Reading Klose also a maybe to Wba
It''s worrying if you genuinely think they''ll sell Oliveria, as you''ve been proved to be in the know in the past.
 4. They had a difference of opinion with Delia, but I believe after the financial crash they weren''t as wealthy as they had once been.
 5. Highland Canary posting? You couldn''t make it up.
 6. It''s the Mirror [:P]With the distinct lack of thugs our midfield, I''d be surprised if he went.
 7.
With you starting 4-5 miserable threads after every loss you''re already making it feel like a bloody long season.
Probably because DCB is actually enjoying this. Relishing in the club''s misfortune [;)]
 8.
Well, Alex and his staff are all gone. The man from mulbarton is gone. Its not them. Of course it could be their replacements so we could go through getting rid of them all again. Or get rid of Russ. Or turn on the board. Unfortunately we will still have too many players who havent got the stomach for a fight. We can''t just turn up and play. We have to earn the right to play.
Farke''s team was too lightweight though. Away from home it''s hard to accomodate four luxury players in Hoolahan, Maddison, Vrancic and Murphy.
 9. It''s the problem of appointing a Thomas Tuchel style coach, whose tactics are more suited to the Champions League than the Championship. Either he wises up very quickly, or the restless mob will get the pitchforks out.But ultimately, the rot started after Hughton''s first season. McNally''s got to take some of the blame for not putting in a decent scouting system. Ewan Chester, Barrie Simmonds, Lee Darnborough and Tony Spearing have to take the blame for scouting and recommending crap. That''s three to four iterations of poor recruitment. Redmond sticks out as the only player we improved during that time, some we broke even with - Fer, Brady, Snodgrass. But most of our signings were just a drain on resources: RVW, Naismith, Jarvis, Mulumbu, even Klose. Existing players seemed to regress Bassong, Ruddy, Bennett. We look at the likes of Southampton and wonder why we aren''t there, but I remember the surprise when they sacked Nigel Adkins in the lower regions of the Premiership. They identified a quality manager in Pochettino and gave him the time and the quality players to develop.I think we were always going to go backwards before we can go forwards. I think Webber secretly knew this as well. My hope is that we can add a experienced head or two before the end of the window, and buy Farke some time to string a few results together.
 10. The Pinkun said that at the end of last season our wage bill was £34million. Not sure if that''s the total, or just for the playing staff.
 11. The thing they teach on good customer service courses is try not to screw up, but if you do screw up, make sure you end up doing something that''s even better.Really nice to see the club putting the fans first
 12. Can''t see much truth in this unless Wildschut or Nasimith is off
 13.

No cover at RB so seems a bizarre thing to do?
I would be surprised if we loan Godfrey out and don''t bring in another RB as cover, maybe a young Prem loanee?
There was an interesting interview with Harry Redknapp on Football Focus, who stated that a 19 year old Premiership loanee would cost him £12,500 a week in wages (maybe referring to Bielik) and there was a clause in the contract that the wages would double if he wasn''t played.Clarke-Salter was already shot down because we couldn''t guarantee him match time.
 14.
Another one destined to not make the mark
He''s just signed a new four year deal.......Shrewsbury already have Carlton Morris and Ebou Adams there, and are 4th in League One, having won all three of their games so far.If anyone''s in the last chance saloon it''s Adams, needs to impress to get his contract extended beyond the end of this season.
 15. Ok, Zimmerman, Wes, and Russell Martin as a last minute replacement for the injured again Klose
 16. The U23''s are lacking bodies, having sent out Morris, Adams, Ramsey, Crowe and Jaysiemi on loan.Difficult to say at this stage if we''re boosting numbers or think the kid has a future. Arsenal let him go, but that doesn''t mean much.
 17.
We shouldn''t have built a side around players that need to develop. We lost key players, players that needed replacing with ones ready to perform. Next season was the one for transition If we failed to go up this year. We''ve shown a real lack of ambition and resigned ourselves to championship football. The best bit of it is, Webber has dressed it up so that most fans are happy and accept transition this season. This season we could have still attracted some very good established players, and could have competed with the bigger teams. We''ve decided not to use that advantage, and next season we''ll be no more attractive to players than Ipswich.
We have one last season of parachute payments of around £31 million, yet we''re being told we need to sell to buy.If Webber hadn''t tried to start sorting it out now, we''d have imploded at the end of the season.
 18.
I''m still a tad lost to why we''ve not spent a bit more considering that we''ve had 30 million sales since January and got rid of all our high earners. No crises but mildly being poorly supported by the board financially.
Purple can give us a better analysis once the financial results are out. But just by rehashing various press articles, it''s clear there isn''t a war chest to spend. We haven''t got rid of all of our high earners: Naismith, Jarvis, Jerome and Klose are still here, and Tettey, Pinto are probably on good money as well. Parachute payments arguably exist to allow a club to deflate their wage bill over time. Our wage bill (presumably players only) was quoted at £34 million at the end of last season.Last year we got £41 million in parachute payments, this year, our final year of receiving them, we''re budgeting to get £31 million. Coming into the summer, our overdraft stood at £8 million, even factoring in the Brady and Olsson sales. The Howson and Dorrans money went to sign Franke, Stiepermann and Vrancic, and a big chunk of the Murphy money went to reducing the overdraft.http://www.edp24.co.uk/sport/norwich-city/revealed-norwich-city-s-2016-17-premier-league-parachute-payment-1-5045086 http://www.edp24.co.uk/sport/norwich-city/reality-bites-the-figures-that-show-why-norwich-city-are-having-to-do-things-differently-this-summer-1-5055886
 19. Tony Xia seems to have been fleeced by agents in the same vein as Tony Fernandes.£10+ million for McCormack, Hogan & Kodija.Signing 32+ year olds like Jedinak and WhelanAs Collymore says - not one bargain or steal.
 20. Seems weird, Transfermarkt has him as 24, Wiki as 23. I could understand if he were younger, but if we''re loaning him back, why bother buying him.
 21.
Shocking, what kind of animal has ketchup and tartare sauce with their scampi???Apples
Don''t start Waveney off on another protest [:P]
 22.
It was also interesting to note the possession was 45% tonight as opposed to 71% on Sunday. Much more direct. I''d be happy to go back to the possession game at Villa though.
Villa will probably come flying out of the blocks, but if we can nullify that and get them chasing the ball, the crowd will just turn on Bruce.I''d swap Wes for Watkins, can''t see Wes being that useful away from home.
 23. Interestingly, reports from the Pinkun earlier in the week had said Farke had spent time rebuilding the confidence of several players, including Zimmerman and Franke after the Sunderland defeat.I know some were questioning Farke after he backed his players after the Sunderland result, but nice to see we''ve got a coach who can see the bigger picture, and doesn''t panic at a poor result.
 24. Palace could be in relegation trouble this season. Allardyce dragged them out of it last season, but the Dutch league and players doesn''t have a particularly high reputation any more.
