1. No one denys that Hucks wasn''t perfect as every player is but his qualities far outweigh the bad points and at this moment in time when the club are not flush with money, basically just a lower end struggling championship club, releasing a player as good as Hucks appears totally senseless!
 2. If there was better more capable and ambitious persons waiting to take over then I''d want rid of the board.   Delia Smiths has said virtually the same thing herself publically!
 3. I''d like to think that Taylor will want to return but I think that others will be hard to persuade!
 4.

You really believe that Hucks was saying everything as it was in the interviews?   I believe Hucks was being diplomatic in the interview for once in his life and was seething at the decision!   If Hucks is no longer good enough then I''d like to know why Roeder continually played him in the run in to the seasons end when we needed results and I''d love to see a player in his left sided position who IS good enough and better than Hucks!
In other words, if somebody I like says something I agree with, they are telling the truth ( for the best of reasons). If they something contradictory to my beliefs, they are lying (for the best of reasons). An interesting point of view. Perhaps Roeder played Hux because he was the best available option at the time. As were the other ten players.
I did say MAYBE. just giving my opinion. I just can''t believe that Hucks is inside feeling as diplomatic as he made out in the interview, though I''m sure his extreme wealth would help to soften the blow!   I could be mistaken like all the other internet ''experts!''
 5. Not really a relevant question for me!   I support Norwich City football club and all of its best interests!   No one person will be bigger than the club!   Keeping a clearly still more than good enough player who tries his heart out for the team is clearly in the clubs best interests!   Keeping a successfull manager is clearly in the clubs best interests!   At this moment in time we need some continuity with the manager so Roeder has to be given time!   Therefore I''d of wanted both to stay!
 6.

Nothing personal against  Glen Roeder but hes made a terrible decision releasing Huckerby which in my book makes him a bit of a prat full stop! - If thats personal; victimisation then so be it!   But please explain the release of Huckerby - It wasn''t cause he isn''t no longer good enough, so there was some personal victimisation from Roeder towards Huckerby!
The sort of victimisation of Hucks that led him to utter the epic comment - "there is nothing personal between me and Glenn, he is honest and genuine" Blimey - must be personal then. Maybe it WAS because he isn''t good enough, has a niggling hip injury, is losing his pace and on x thousand £ per week.
So are you calling Mr Huckerby a Liar? Why would he not be diplomatic when his livelihood depends on the club, but when he is released and can say what he likes, keep it shut? How much angrier would you have been if Huckerby hadn''t played? Draw your own conclusions..... There are not many better than Hucks WAS, plenty better than he is, Nathan Tyson from Forest for starters...
Maybe Hucks loves the club so much he didn''t want to make things difficult for the club by launching a bitter verbal attack on Roeder?   I only want to see players in the Norwich 1st team cause they are worthy of their position. Hucks clearly was that in the last half of the season (for 99% of his games for Norwich he was more than worthy of his position!) and an integral part of the tactics as well!   Nathan Tyson would be a good addition to the Norwich squad but its debatable if he''d have the same effect as Huckerby over the next couple of seasons!
 7. Spot on I''d say!   Also the fact that Hucks had a personality and was very popular with the fans probably didn''t go well with Mr Roeder? Sh**e decision and terrible way for one of our greatest players ever to go!
You cannot build a team around one player - his lack of defending was painfully obvious aon sunday leaving Bertrand in the sh*t. He was getting too old and too expensive. There was no victimisation.
A, I never indicated that the team would be built around Hucks, far from it. All I know is that he is still clearly good enough to do a job for us next season.

 10.
Well with no disrepect to the blondie locks boy himself but if left sided midfielder Eagle gets a new deal after not featuring for the team last season and not looking likely to either whilst playing in the reserves after the still good enough left sided midfielder, City legend Hucks didn''t then theres something seriously wrong!
I''ve just worked out something that is seriously wrong - GLEN ROEDER!
 11. I sensed in the interview that for once Hucks is being very diplomatic and inside is hurting badly and seething at Roeders terrible decision to release him!   Crap decision Glen, I''m losing faith in you!
 12. I would be pissed off seeing Hucks playing for anyone other than us obviously, but Roeders the tw*t who decided to get rid so Hucks shouldn''t feel guilty about playing for ANY other team, Roeder should!

 14.
Yes but who was a fan favourite GR had decided was leaving - the backlash is bad now, how about if Hucks had barely played for the last 6months? I accept Roeder has to take the blame for the poor run, but in my honest opinion, we looked more balanced with Croft in the side, even if he couldnt buy a bloody goal! I think Croft looked like he could be a very good player under Glenn, as did Boro and Newcastle who were two of the Prem clubs watching him. Why is it nothing to do with Hucks? he was one of the 11 every week. Who actually plays on the pitch, Hucks or Glenn? How can you say Glenn must accept some of the blame but Hucks doesn''t take any? Maybe if he''d bothered to defend once in a while, we may have been less vulnerable - especially against the Scum where they ripped us down Huckerby''s side time and again. Maybe if he had attacked any balls in at the far post, forehead first, as a winger should as it comes in from the other side, instead of waiting by the touchline for it to come out to him, we may have scored a few more and won a few more. Then again, he doesn''t "do" headers, does he? Dont get me wrong, i love Hucks as much as the next fan, but he is not the embodiment of perfection, believe it or not, he did have flaws.
Whos saying that Hucks was near perfection?   We all know his weaknesses but his qualities far outweigh them!   He had an extra dimension that I''ve never seen in any other Norwich player!   Crap decision that will I fear cast a huge shadow over next season if we''re struggling and a crap loanee is playing left wing!   I think Croft at times has been unlucky particularly with Roeder preferring to play blokes out of position instead of him but he still didn''t do as much as what Hucks did last season!
 15. I apreciate the off field good state of the club but we are badly underperforming on the football side and that hurts!   Yesterdays unbelievable decision to get rid of one of our best players, who loves the club, which is nothing to do with his ability to be a force for the team next season is the totally wrong way to go!   Did the board know of Roeders Hucks decision quite a while ago and didn''t say ''owt while we were all in the process of renewing our season tickets?
 16.
Well done Glenn Roder -so Huckerby is surplace to Glenn''s requirements. 1. Glenn, who didn''t attend the end of season get together for the much travelled away fans. 2. Glenn, who can''t even aknowledge the fans when you arrive at an away ground. 3. Glenn, who put''s Doherty at right back. 4. Glenn, who thinks he owns Carrow Road, head in the clouds and full of arrogance 5. Glenn, who took us to within a whisker of relegation (you didn''t turn it round - you slightly improved on Grant''s performance). Huckerby has conducted himself admirably since being told by Rodent that he is no longer required. He would have stayed at Norwich for ever - you don''t see that sort of loyalty often in football. he will refuse to play against Norwich and will never move away from the area - unbelievable dedication. It''s a disgrace the way Roder has treated Huckerby - Roder needs to explain himself (and fast). Glenn, what you need is a speedy winger who terrorises Championship defences, turn games single handedly and get 25,000 dedicated fans on the edge of their seats in anticipation. Guess what you idiot - you had that person and let him go.   Couldn''t agree more!   Whilst I apreciate Roeder for rescuing us from certain relegation under Grant the decision to release Huckerby who still had much to offer was absolutely bemusing to say the least! If Hucks was the spent force Roeders is now making him out to be, then why was Roeder playing him regularly in the seasons run in when we needed results? We could of pushed for the play offs if we''d of signed Taylor and a couple more decent players rather than out of their depth just out of school loanees boys from premiership clubs. The constant tinkering, playing blokes out of position, dropping in form players to play crap loaness like Henry and Gibbs meant that Norwich had to struggle unneccessarily towards the end of the season! If I see one more reoprt in the local rags or someone saying that Gibbs is going to be good I''ll scream!   We need players that are good now like Hucks was, not maybe in the future!   Roeder you may have signed your own Norwich City managerial death warrant by letting Hucks go and the manner in which you did it!
18. I''m disappointed that Forest have got promoted cause I''ve been there before many times but have never been to Carlisle or Doncasters new ground.   Lets hope that either of them 2 win the play offs rather than Southend or the dreaded Leeds!
 19. Made in 72 after the club won promotion to the top flight for the time ever in the 71/72 season!   Yes its awful and one you just wouldn''t play in normal circumstances but it kind of adds to the match build up and grows on you!
 20. Most of us keep going back year after year cause are supporters of the club and stick by the club whatever. Just cause we keep going back doesn''t mean that we''re happy with with mediocrity far from it!   I know from the many years I''ve been going that things change very quickly in football and that is the hope we cling to!   If I had a pound for everytime I''ve heard a Norwich fan say - "this is crap I''m not going again next year" or words of a similar nature and is back again the next year I''d be able to buy the club!   People I know who drift away just end up listening to Radio Norfolks coverage, start missign the matchday experience and start going again!
 21. Totally lost it in his last season at the NCFC after being such a wonderful player before that!   Shame to see that he hasn''t reversed the decline at Luton!
 22. If  Leicester get relegated then surely they''d have a better chance of getting promoted out of league 1 than what we would out of the Championship?
 23. Believe me I''d rather have all the restaurants, hotel and other non football income sources struggling like f**k if the football team was at the same time riding high and being successfull!   But then again thinking about it,  if all those sidelines were stuggling then it would surely impact on the football team?   Therefore I''m glad there all doing well but for me and all other fans the football comes first!   I support NCFC cause its my local football team and nothing else,  people pointing out the piece from my last message in this thread are missing the point completely!   I''m hurting as much as anyone over Norwichs general underperforming team since getting promotion in 04, but we''ve got no divine right to get promoted and expectations have risen ten fold in the last 8 years, mainly from fans who rarely if never went to games before the 2002 play off season. Mistakes have been made but as we''ve always seen at this level of football the difference between success and failiure is very a thin line. I believe if we sign the right players, get rid of the right players then we can have a real go at promotion next season. - Whether Glen Roeder is the manager capable of achieving this we''ll see!
 24. After this season finishes Dublin will be going, Evans going back to Man City and  Righters going back to Blackburn. its unclear as to whether Hucks will stay (although I think he probably will) and whos to say that Roeder might release Chris Martin?   Potentially until we buy Jamie Cureton could be our only striker left at the club!   Therefore I''d say its highly unlikely he''ll be leaving!   On recent performances I hope that Jamie will be nothing more than a bench warmer cause we''d of signed better stikers but 14 goals this season is hardly a failure although as we know he could of done so much better!
 25. Yes I like it, but it looks just like recent kits except with a different sponsor on the shirt!
